Doing some work on this species! I hope to have traits sorted out soon but this is all i have on then for now:

(My first time drawing a skeleton/working out anatomy so I apologise if it looks weird!)

Any names or ideas on the species are welcome! It is only in its early stages, after all VuV

My current name ideas are: felidaenosaurs (a mouthful), raptpurr or utahline

Some basic species info:
-Its ancient ancestors were birds. As they evolved, the ability to fly was lost and they began to glide, thus the feathers on the arms. Unfortunately, the as they became bigger and heavier, gliding too was lost, and so the feathers only use is now to attract mates.
-Slightly larger than a house cat, some of the largest reach knee-height.
-Front arms are very weak, however back legs are very strong. Although they are incredibly fast when running on all fours, they have low stamina and prefer to stalk their prey until the moment is right.
-Typically, they hunt alone, catching smaller prey. However, in groups even as small as 3, they grow in confidence and will hunt whatever comes along, with the size of the prey not being an issue.
-They cannot meow like cats, however communicate by chirps, purrs and hisses. They are fairly social, and bonding time in groups is important in order to build trust.
-Retractable claws in all four paws allow they to climb trees with ease, often to escape danger. They are also very flexible, allowing them to hide in tight spaces. They cannot see too well in the dark, but their whiskers allow them to feel-out spaces.
-They come in many colours and patterns. Unlike traditional raptors, these are more adapted to cooler environments due to their layer of fur, which gets longer during winter months.

Oooohh, I really like felivocilaptor! Long names are fun, but its hard to find one that roll off of the tongue :,) Is it alright if I add these two to my list of possible names?
