dangit i have 9 last place finishes in the duck races, zero 2d place, and two wins. will there be a thread for us to post our results, so somebody with statistical skill can analyze the duck race odds? (i think that Tony character may be up to something shady, slipping steroids to the other ducks or smthn, smh...)

I finally did my first race and got second place I love the plushies so much it don't bother me though

First place doesn't give you a plushie^^ It gives you one of four different bird ponies, and a gold trophy.
2nd place gives you two plushies + silver trophy, 3rd place gives one plushie and a bronze trophy.

I'm finally caught up on everything except the clothes. I think I'm going to wait until the end of the event to try to collect those. Just in case I need the resort chips for any other trade ins.

I've loved all of the pets so far but I'm definitely keeping my hopes up for some tarantulas.

Almost^^ The 1st place prize was one of the three racers as a pet - so only 3 outcomes instead of 4. And 2nd and 3rd place were the sea creature items, with 2nd place giving you three, and 3rd place giving you two.
There were way more items in the prize pool that year, though, so it's understandable we got more per race.

so far i have 2 firsts, but 4-faced sad bronze duckies...

I don't recall if there was any consensus on last year's race game, but I'd assume its more or less equal on which place you get. I've gotten 5 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze (all I wanted was the plushies and I just keep getting gold :C )

Just to get some very general numbers from a pretty small sample - I went through the items of everyone on the our team page (including guest artists and retired staff) and got the total of how many gold/silver/bronze ducks they had. I counted 134 in total (as I said, very small sample-) there there were 55 gold, 41 silver, and 38 bronze. Averaging that out, it's 41% first/gold, 31% second/silver, and 28% third/bronze. So yeah, they seem pretty even - if anything, the higher places seem more common, actually. I've personally gotten 3 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze.

The plants that have everyone guessing... I believe that they are for what's behind the gate that won't open. I'm thinking that we have to soothe or win over the creature that lives there.
