I don't know...should I get one of the item sets? I don't really want to use up my resort chips in case I can use them for pets later on...

i think resort chips will be exclusive to items and fruit will be for pets

I have this fear as well. I do love the items but I'm thinking I'll wait until the end of the event to trade my tokens for them. I'd rather get all the critters first. =)

I know, it makes me freak out. Once, I was doing one of these CS events with tokens and the outcomes thread hadn't been updated yet. I'd saved up a bunch of tokens so I just spammed the hell out of one of the trade-ins. After a few clicks, I realized it was an item pack trade-in and had to work really hard just to get the pets. As a result, I don't even try with the items unless I really have a surplus of tokens and there aren't any dragons to trade-in for.

Ooh, the NPC doesn't look half bad. Maybe we'll end up getting them at the end of the event like we did for Mr. Herringbone and that squid guard guy from last year's summer event.
