My current theory is that it’s for the closed section on the far left

I just think it fits the aesthetic

Buuut on the other hand the vegetation near the gate is similar in style (to be expected XD)

Don't worry about the sprouts! Something fantastic might come out that might need them. I have two of them myself. I remember for the 2013 summer event people were also frustrated in getting so many of the nightmares. the pets that needed them came later in the event.

I've been dying for a jungle themed summer event ahhh
I really hope they make snakes!!!
