2018 Summer Event: Casual Chat

I don't think I've ever pulled an all-nighter before and it's nearly 11 pm where I live so I'm off to bed after I get my next token.
I found myself roleplaying in between banners. What do you guys do?

Well, since my area is under a Tornado watch for a few hours I'm gonna be staying up for a while to keep an eye on that. Usually when I'm waiting on token cooldowns I multitask with Youtube and fanfiction. XD

Is the banner quite a bit bigger for items then it has been for the past several events, or am I just going crazy?

Anyway, I just go on Tumblr, Amino, YouTube, DeviantArt, or any other site I have an account on. Usually I don't necessarily look for banners haha

I personally don't mind all the different tokens too much, since they still tend to be contained to different categories that certain trade-ins will ask for (they accept a wide amount of different tokens and not specific tokens like the other events do). Just find it more of a bit of a change-up from what we have at other events. And general token-swapping isn't too hard later into the event. The resort tokens may just be included in less trade-ins than the other tokens, so we get more of the others. To each their own though ^^

Doesn't sound likely when I'm getting twice as many clothing tokens as anything else.

ah that sucks, it's just luck sometimes unfortunately, i only have 1 clothing
token so far, i'd love to get some more haha, i'm sure your luck will change
though! :3

i think that so many tokens to change in can be a little overwhelming to
new users, but i personally quite enjoy it! (^v^) i enjoy the challenge, ig!

It's not just overwhelming, it makes it incredibly unfair to anyone not in the right timezone. Unlike some during the Easter event, I need to sleep and work. Morning here is also about 7 hours after the event even started, so that's 20 potential tokens I've already missed out on. Another 20 every night. It was annoying enough during Easter when there was only 4 types (plus the Animal Eggs), but with all the different types it just compounds the issue and makes it very difficult for people who can't/don't want to spend every second of the next week refreshing a page.

Not to mention trading tokens is near impossible. All I kept getting during Easter was people trying to buy mine for C$ no matter what I wrote in the trade thread to say that is NOT what I was trading.

My biggest fear rn is that I’m doing something wrong and missing a chance at items/pets ;;

Considering we could only have gotten a total of 9-10 tokens so far, its hard to say which are more common. Thats only under the assumption that each token has equal probability. Could also be that the probability is turned up on some (like the resort tokens) because there will be a decent number of trade-in that require them. And sometimes we just have unlucky (or lucky) streaks. No telling what else those tokens could be used for later, its unlikely to all be clothing. Just save them for later trade-ins if you don't like the items ^^

Don't worry too much! We get new trade-ins each day, and those stay for the entire event and don't change. The only thing you have a chance at missing is the daily gifts from each of the areas, sometimes the bigger/starter sets will stay for the whole event, but for the most part the gifts switch to a new one each rollover, such as the clothing item from the clothes shop. Pet gifts tend not the expire, just the item ones.

Other than that, only thing to worry about is getting tokens every 20 min ^^ Just keep an eye out for further developments later on!

Whoops my hand slipped, again.
I made Camo from the Clothes shop.
I couldn't find out where or when the flowers came from that are on Camo's side, so hmm. They're not from Easter 2018...
