Away from the rest of the camp, the atmosphere is a bit darker and kind of spooky. The ground of the swamp is damp, but your curiosity gets the best of you, and you head into the trees to investigate.



Closer up, you can see it's a spiral bound notebook with a red cover. It appears used, sticky notes peaking out between the pages and paper dog eared.

While you're reaching to grab it, a shadow appears over you, you freeze and turn slowly, absolutely sure whatever creature that lurks in the forest is here to eat you. You see a set of eyes flash and prepare for the worst...

"Oʜ ᴛʜᴀɴᴋ ɢᴏᴏᴅɴᴇss ʏᴏᴜ ꜰᴏᴜɴᴅ ɪᴛ!"

Finn reaches around you to grab the notebook, hugging it tightly to his chest. He seems quite relieved as he beams down at you.

"Mʏ ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴀʟ ᴡᴇɴᴛ ᴍɪssɪɴɢ ᴀɴᴅ ɪᴛ's ǫᴜɪᴛᴇ ɪᴍᴘᴏʀᴛᴀɴᴛ. Fᴜʟʟ ᴏꜰ ᴀʟʟ ᴍʏ ʀᴇsᴇᴀᴄʜ!"

He opens it up to show you.



"This is all the work I've done, trying to hunt down cryptids..." He seems proud of it, even if it looks like something a kid scribbled with crayon. He looked thoughtful for a moment, and then excited, bouncing up on his toes. "Before I lost it, I was hot on the trail of something interesting in the forest! I'm sure it's going to a breakthrough, the coolest creature anyone's ever seen! You want to help me find it? The swamp's not as dangerous as everyone makes it out to be. It'll be fun I promise! I bet we could get Deidra and Luka to help too!"

images hidden at the bottom of posts! You can find two clues
each in the posts of Red, Karm, and Pal!

[✧] Once you find all six clues, you can PM links to their locations
to Red, along with an original drawing of what you think the
cryptid might look like! Use the form below!

[✧] Be creative! There's no criteria for your drawing, just that it
should be inspired by the clues you find. This means that anything
from a sketch to a fully completed piece will be counted!

[✧] Everyone who finds all the clues + submits a drawing will be
awarded 10 tokens for braving the swamp and helping Finn on
his quest to hug all the cryptids.

[✧] At the end of the hunt, the user with the judges' favorite

Finn is certain with all the clues everyone has gathered, he can find this cryptid yet! You weren't sure if you believed him at first, but there was a lot of evidence in the swamp that pointed to something strange!

When the councilor returns from his trek into the swamp however, he looks disappointed.

"Well, this is a little embarrassing," he says.

He's leading what looks to be the creature you've all been trying to track down! They're covered in swamp muck, leaves, and vines, but when they shake off, you realize... It's just a normal kalon.

"Seems like someone wandered off from the Test of Courage and got a little lost. It's a good thing we found them," Finn says. He's sad there was no cryptid, but he does seem relieved that the missing kamper has been located. He smiles at you all. "I hope you guys had fun anyways, I really loved all your drawings." He looks at one of you in particular. "I think yours was the coolest, so how about you hold on to this lost kamper, and catch them up to speed on what's been happening at Kamp! I'm counting on you!"
