Summer event ideas!

hey everyone! im back with another update.
thanks to zel (and to Aaron✦ bringing the post back into the light) i have found out that all summer events, with the exception of 2011 and 2013, have started on fridays and saturdays.
so we should be expecting this year's summer event on an upcoming friday or saturday, meaning the 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th or 28th.
dont get your hopes up about the 13th, i am almost 100% sure it will not start tomorrow unless they decided not to tease this year. also, no summer event has ever started that early.
it's possible it may start on the 14th, but again unlikely unless teases start tonight.

i would place my bets on it starting the 20th or 21st, as most summer events have started from the 22-25 and last year's started on the 22nd.

With the exceptions of 2015, 2013, 2011, and 2012, all the other years with a summer vacation announced something ahead of time. Today is a Thursday with no upcoming news. There *might* be a news post tonight or they'll just surprise us early. I also didn't see the site go down at all, or maybe Nick just did it when I was asleep. It makes sense to temporarily upgrade to a faster server around events, due to all of the users online and such.

Also, I had a dream where Avian and Totoro's vacation was ruined due to a terrible glitch in the database. It was cool to see glitch themed pets and items.

I wish it could be candy themed, but we already did that.. One thing we haven't done, however, is Pride themed.. I know that would never happen, since this site has way too many anti-lgbt people, but it's still a nice thought.

Realistically, I'm hoping for anything bright and colorful, with maybe a sort of mystical feel to it? Or just a straight up beach theme- although that's been done before too.

I dunno. Either way, I'm just really excited and hope I don't somehow miss the beginning of it.

The majority of our group chat was talking about being excited for the summer event, and one of my friends and I said at the same time a safari/jungle themed.

I've been thinking about this more, and what if we're in a plane, and it crashes and we end up in a jungle and have to get out???
I kinda hope for a jungle because the artwork and some more nature themed pets/creatures would be so cool. Not to talk about scenery items, ohmygOD

Anyways I can NOT wait for the summer event!!!!

I kind if was hoping for an African theme because I really want to see giraffes, hyenas, hippos, and elephants.

I think a cave themed event would be cool. We would explore different caves; maybe get lost. The pets could look like they are made out of rock, gems and metals.

Anyway, whatever the theme is, I hope the event finishes before August or at least the beginning of August. Otherwise I'm going to miss the majority of it like last year. My family likes to go on vacation the same time Totoro and Avian do. And that means no internet.

I so want like a Paleontologist kinda event where we dig up dinosaur bones and turn them in for dinosaur themed/ Fossil themed pets <3

I would love to see a time travel event! maybe like a sky event or something with clouds because we have an underwater event or artic snowy adventure!
