Molly turned her head toward the unfamiliar voice. She was caught by surprise by the border collie. "Uh..hello. I'm just trying to get free. My owner seems to have left me out here." She replied shaking her head to remove the collar that was now holding her ears down. It was getting uncomfortable for Molly now especially since the collar wasn't supposed to slip off of her head.

🕇He smiled warmly as he waved his tail lightly in an attempt to appear friendly. "Need help?" He said as he padded closer. He examined the collar, trying to find a way to slip it off without harming her. He could use his powers, but he didn't want her to see. Maybe he could do it without her noticing. "Okay, hold your head down." He said in a calm voice as he stood behind her, eyeing her collar. He focused hard, using his telekinesis to slowly open up the collar. He gave it a few tugs to pretend he was struggling with it. He didn't completely open the collar, but he loosened it enough. "That should do it, try and slip through." He yipped as he took a step back.

As Orph faded into view with holy light and outstretched wings, she descended to the grass under the pale sky. She did not wish to return to Earth, for it was littered with distractions and ways she could be led away from God's word. But she knew what she had to do, and she was assigned soldier for a reason. Dismissing her wings and reverting to her normal form, she immediately threw her head in the air to smell it. She wasn't close to any negative energy as of now, but she could certainly sense a shred of fear in the atmosphere. It was morning, the time for humans to get out and start the day. And that meant that everyone was vulnerable. Setting off in the direction of the city where the most activity was going on, Orph took a deep breath, admittedly a little nervous. But she had her faith, and the faith of the humans around her. Smells of another dog and even a familiar angel were in the air, and she smiled a little before leaving Orion to his duties. The white dog took graceful strides in the direction of the battlefield, mentally preparing herself to fight.

Autumn was out walking with her master to the post office, a fairly young man in his late 30's. Both of them were very on-edge this morning, but they absolutely had to go out today. She couldn't understand what her master wanted, but she did know that it involved something that he always called "mail." And it must've been terribly important human business if he wanted to risk going outside. They both gave each other comfort, and it was not easy to go outside without the other. Which is why she had mixed feelings about going out for walks. On one paw, she had to be there for him. Something's up and she would feel horrible if he was left alone out here. But on the other, it was scary! Something's wrong in this creepy old city, she just knew it. The long walk there was tense and awkward, but they eventually made it to the post office. Before they could make it inside, Master stopped her. "Sit. Good girl." he said, one of the phrases of the human language she understood. Master unhooked her leash for a brief moment, wrapping it around a street lamp just a pace or two away. He placed the hook in the loop and pulled the leash to tighten the tie before hooking her collar yet again. "I'll be back, but it'll be a bit. There's a line." Master ruffled her head affectionately before walking inside. After looking around to make sure no one would take his dog, of course. Even behind the glass doors, he kept his wary gaze on her for about a minute. His attention did eventually return to his mysterious human business, and Autumn nervously looked out among the shallow sea of people and dogs while mumbling. "Please be quick.."

Kaa was roaming the alleyways of the city with actual thought, gnashing his jaws in anticipation of having something between them. His charred chain rattled softly as he jogged across the pavement. He kept turning around the corner of any building, scouring the area where he could find a mortal that was secluded and away from the protection of those wretched crosses and.. salt. He was greatly startled to be face-to-face with a human who turned the corner. A tiny dog smile crept across his muzzle, hoping that he could at least possess him as a disguise from the other men. Kaa was about to close in for a possession, but the man seemed to catch on to his trick almost immediately. "Ach!" he exclaimed, fumbling through his shirt pocket before pulling out a necklace. "S-shoo! Back! Back-- no, back!" The man took a step foreword while waving the cross necklace around mere inches from his face. Kaa bared his teeth and hopped backwards. His pitch black eyes showed nothing but hatred and ferocity towards the stupid human. "No! No, no, no!" he barked in wild frustration, turning the other way and disappearing in the shadows.

"Chained up, hm, housedog?" she snickered as she sat down before her, eyeing up the female. She glanced over at the pole before looking back at her awaiting a response.

☼Colby whimpered as he heard the click of the metal around his collar. "I won't be long. Stay here," His owner said as he rubbed his head once before standing up and walking towards the door. Colby whimpered and instantly began barking, watching his master's figure disappear into the house. His barking ceased when he heard the car door slam from behind the fence. His barks were useless now, he was gone. Colby frowned as he stood up, padding in a circle as the chain tied him down. He wished that his human wouldn't chain him up, he felt he was mature enough to be left alone without it. He sighed as he flopped down onto his belly, looking up at the sky.

"Tied down, rather. Well.. technically.." she cut herself off there, failing to be snarky. "Why does it concern you?"

She tugged again this time slipping htrough the collar with ease. She wagged her tail happily and looked at the starnger thankfully. "Thanks! Oh, I forgot! My name's Molly." She said happily. ""What's yours? I don't think I've seen you before?" Molly hadn't been here very long herself but thought there weren't any other dogs near her.

Tariq clambered down from the dumpster he had been perched on. He'd been rather bored, and so he rounded the corner and trotted down the street, claws clicking against the rough concrete. His tail wagged, and he thought he was doing a pretty good job, passing for another stray. Despite the collar around his neck. That was a giveaway that he didn't belong. As he stumbled upon a crowded area, he veered quickly into an entrance the the alleyways that ran through the city. Without expecting to see anyone else, he was surprised to hear frantic barking. Curious, he headed towards the sound, picking up the pace. Maybe it was a mortal? A mortal would be good. He broke into a run, only to run smack dab into someone. Growling in frustration, he jumped up, and since they were in the shadows he couldn't see who it was. "Show yourself." He commanded, teeth bared. From over the strangers shoulder, he could see a human tucking a cross into their pocket and hurrying away.

Tyra chuckled as she scratched her side with her hind leg. "Geez, so on edge. The name's Tyra, housedog." She responded with a snicker. "I can get you out of it. You and I can go lookin' around. I'll bring you back before your human returns, cross my heart." She said, raising her paw and moving it in front of her chest to make a crossing motion. She stood up, her black coat shining in the sunlight. She glanced around the buildings of the city, pondering where she would even take her if she agreed to her offer. With how she acted, she couldn't display her powers just yet. She had to be extra cautious with this one so as to not raise suspicion in her. Hm, what do mortal dogs like to do, again? She thought to herself. Dogs like this weren't her usual targets. Typically pups or generally innocent and naive dogs were her targets, as she could show her powers and have them stare in awe and desperately want the same powers as her. But with humans nearby and her already being suspicious, she had to think of a plan B.🖉

But this was just a one time thing, she figured. Just a one time thing. Only for the sake of being able to feel a little less vulnerable here. But why was her heart so against this?

Kaa ran for a bit away from the man, but quickly stopped himself once he heard a commanding voice. Having heard this one before, he sighed. It was one of the generals. The bossy ones that always nipped the noses of those who didn't do well enough at their job. Considering his recent performance just then, he assumed this one knew of his failed attempt at a possession. Cursing quietly between breaths, he walked closer to the voice while expecting a scolding. Once the stranger was in sight, he knew who it was. It was no use scowling at or testing a general, despite his want to do so. Expressionless with open ears, he responded with the most respect he's spoken with for a while. "General?"

Tariq watched the stranger come into view, and instantly relaxed. It was one of the lower demons, Kaa. "Oh, Kaa. Its you." He said, straightening and pasting a cool expression on his face. "Cross trouble?" He guessed, peering to where the human had been moments before. What he assumed happened was that their was an attempt at possession, but the human whipped out the cross before it was too late. Tariq could read situations like that. "Gotta start being more vigilant, Kaa. We can't afford to lose yet another demon. We need everyone we can get." Good thing he was in the good mood. On his bad days he'd show no mercy, but he'd been cooped up for so long he was happy to be out and about as it was. Instinctively, he took a step further back into the shadows.

He hadn't fought a demon in what felt like forever, ever since he started his search in the suburbs. Maybe he was losing his touch? No, no. He couldn't think like that. He just had to keep looking. Glancing around, he saw something- or someone. General Zophiel, the angel of legends, was padding down the street. Gabriel figured she hadn't been in the mortal world for years, judging by the awed expression on her face. "General Zophiel." He said, approaching her, cross on his collar jingling, "What are you doing here, in the mortal realm?"
