so what cow is this cow-smoothien experts?
Mmm I am a bit stumped on this one.
There are several that it could be, and yet can't actually be, because of some pretty serious oversights if they are meant to represent that breed. And I know they're not always perfect, and usually a loose interpretation .. but still.
It's not red enough, not does it have the classic white patches of the Hereford
Not red enough to be a beef master either
Longhorns tend to be more red, and also also tend to have white patches -
most of the dun/ roany tend to start out light, and then darken (if they do) as they age.
I guess it could be a
swiss but this calf seems particularly dark to me. When I think of swiss cattle
I think more along these lines they also don't have dark noses
to be honest this reminds me of a wild cattle breed, that I should know, and would be ecstatic it if were true, but I can't think of the name tonight to save my life

If not that then what about the "chocolate milk comes from brown cows" thing. I'm not sure if it's a universal thing but as a kid a teacher would jokingly tell us chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Or it could have split outcomes?
Time and time again Saikiyo never fails to amuse me. Might be my favorite artist on the site

There's no set date yet, but it usually happens in mid to late July.

Tbh it looks just like a brown swiss to me, just a particularly dark one. It’s even only a shade or two darker than two of the cows in the picture you linked of typical brown swiss - the four of which also all have dark noses.
