Two Days Prier
Heels clapped against the hardwood floor as the semi-short, young woman passed through other Angels in the hall. Her posture could be considered perfect. As a child of Angel Royalty, before being able to speak, you are taught to walk correctly. This determines your place and how you present yourself to others. Looking weak was not acceptable there. If this was caused to be an issue, you would immediately be disowned. Anyhow, the girl had been summoned to her Mother, Marianne Meyers. She was the Queen of the Angels. There was a large wooden door painted white at the end of the hall. It didn't take to long for her to reach it. Along the door there was designs carved over it. Beautiful carvings indeed. Stories. All the walls and doors had hidden stories. This one was her favorite. It was a story of a girl. 'Mother Nature' you could say. The girl would leave everything and anyone... just to be with nature. There was a brutal battle between the girl and her people... before the girl simply quit. She sorrowed her loss in the nature surrounding her. The girl would soon die in the story... and reincarnate into a tree. This tree would help whoever needed it, but only the ones who believed nature was just as important as love.
"Alicia Meyers. Hurry up for goodness sake!" "I'm coming Mother!" Alicia rushed inside the large room, her dress being caught against the doorknob. It ripped though she simply grabbed the broken piece of silk and scurried to her Mother's side. "There you are. What were you doing?" "Thinking. About the story." "Of course you were. You never think about anything else important." Her Mother narrowed her eyes with a furrowed brow. She was never pleased with her daughter. "I have news for you. I expect you to take it seriously." "Of course, Mother." "Mhm. A good princess-" "A good princess always listens yes, yes I know." Alicia took a deep breath of boredom.
"Ahah... Well, King Aero has been looking for a Queen. You know this, correct?" Her Mother walked carefully with a sway, heading to her desk. She sat down with ease and pulled out a paper and pen, glancing up to her daughter for an answer. "Yes. I know." Alicia stepped forward to listen closer. Her curiosity always took over her self awareness. She needed to work on that quite a bit. "Well, I am in hope that you can be her. His soon-to-be Queen. We need to bring peace between us two, and this might as well do it. I'm going to write a letter to him. Alright?"
"Pardon me, Mother. I don't understand. Aren't we trying to win the war? Why have we been fighting all these years then?" Alicia was utterly horrified somewhat. She did not want to marry any King, especially if they were from hell.
"I don't care what your opinion is. If he agrees, it's going to happen." Her Mother began to write, and Alicia grumbled with pure anger. "Oh you always control my life. I never get to make decisions, do I?" She stormed out of the room before her Mother could respond with a sure to be rude response.
Present Day; Morning
Alicia woke from the sunlight shining through the window. It was a beautiful stained glass which reflected rainbows across her room. She got out and ready, putting on her traditional outfit that she'd wear any day and everyday. Probably for the rest of her life. A maid walked inside and folded her blankets and set up her pillows before smiling to the Princess. "Oh dear! You must be excited, yes?"
"Excited? For what?" Alicia questioned, watching her maid do her job with a bright smile. Oh how she wished the workers there could... frown. Not one worker frowned around her. Alicia hated this.
"To meet King Aero of course."
"Meet him?! When?"
"You will be leaving today, no? Your parents did not aware you of this information?"
"No.. I did not know he had accepted the deal." Alicia furrowed her brow and crossed her arms. For the first time, her posture was slumped.
"Well, you must be on your way!" Her maid took Alicia's hand kindly before leading her out of the room and down the long halls of the corridors. Oh goodness. What did Alicia's Mother get her into?
