the weekends had always been more than serene for navaeh. they were always peaceful, and less
hectic since she didn't need to worry about going to school or having to go to work right after, and
than complete homework late at night. not even to mention she still had a horse she needed to care
for and exercise. her weekdays were usual full with chores and responsible, so it was always hard to
just stop and be young. though, saturdays and sundays always left her with some free-time. even if
it was just an hour or so, she'd take it. the only bad thing about the weekends is it was harder to see
her bestfriend: marcus. their parents practically hated each other, even though they were still neighbors.
navaeh wasn't really sure on the exact reason why, all she knew is that her parents "warned" her of their
son, marcus. saying how much of a troublemaker he was and to stay away from boys like him, especially
him. like any other teenager, she ignored them and ended up befriending the boy next-door. behind
their backs of course, the two would hang out pretty often. she'd be lying if she said she didn't share
deeper feelings for him.

escaping away from her parents and her small countryside home, navaeh went out into the woods that
were in her backyard. she often went adventuring in then, whether by herself or even sometimes on
horseback. she had lived this home since she was born, so she knew the area like the back of her hand.
it was always peaceful, and always brought some kind of peace of mind to her. this evening, navaeh
strayed out into them by foot. it was a tad chilly so she wore a pair of skinny jeans, a grey sweatshirt
that hugged her, and some vans. she didn't have much makeup on, and merely wore her blonde hair
up into a messy bun, her glasses sitting on top the bridge of her button nose. she didn't quite have a
destination or anything, just came out here to enjoy the cool breezes and sunset that would soon be
occurring. if she could, she would text marcus and ask him to come meet her. unfortunately though,
his parents wouldn't allow any kind of technology into their household. she hadn't ever really met his
parents, but from the way he talked about them - they sounded crazy. her parents weren't too bad,
but they could be pretty overbearing at times.

the best she could hope for is that he saw her walking out to the forest. since they did live next to each
other, they both had woods behind their houses. they also happened to have windows in both their
rooms that faced each other, so sometimes they would talk to each other via their windows. it was funny
really - it was like some kind of modern romeo and juliet. the best part though is that they were eighteen
years old, which was suppose to mean adult-hood. which meant much more freedom from their parents
and homes. hearing rushing water, navaeh ducked under some brush from a tree. she pushed the over-
hang away from her, approaching a small stream. smiling, the small girl made her way closer to the
rushing water and took a seat on a boulder that sat beside the glistening stream.
