[/quote]Lyric walked up to Autumn and began examining the burns on his arms and cheek. She noted the clear discoloration coming from them. She had some medical training due to having paired with a nurse after the meteor. Unfortunately, she had been killed a few months after they had paired up. Lyra had taken it hard and often blamed herself for it. However, not being alone definitely made the loss easier. "Alright good news. It appears to only be a second degree burn and there isn't any pus coming from it so it isn't infected. However, I still need to clean this and it's going to hurt." she warned and held up the disinfectant spray. Lyric looked over to Erion, wondering if she could continue. It was obvious that Autumn was nervous and she wasn't sure if cleaning a burn right off the bat was the best introduction. "It really does need to be cleaned though. I'm assuming you got these from the acid storm?" she asked and chuckled. "I don't think it left anyone unaffected. She slipped off her thin jacket to reveal a shirt with several holes in it and a few nasty burns on her shoulders. Lyra had hoped that finding a common ground would do some good and ease the tension. Lyric slipped her jacket back over her shoulders and held up the spray. "May I?"

Erion followed shyly and watched from the side wall as Lyric tried to fix up Autumn. She wasn't entirely confident in her medical abilities and let Lyric take the lead on the issue. She glanced around the old shack and noted it was in decent shape for shelter even after the acid storm. The wood seemed stable and the outside coating must have taken most of the acidic damage. She glanced outside and could see the sun setting against the horizon, the light filtering through the clouds and dying with the setting sun. She figured it wouldn't be safe much longer walking around outside since dark was no more than a hour away. This was slightly troubling as wandering an unknown territory in the dark could lead to disaster, but so could sharing a shelter with a stranger. The second option was much more appealing though.

Echo listened to the two men fight a while longer, eyeing Rory warily. The various scents that she gave off only made Echo more uncomfortable around her. She seemed ready to eat any one of them, something that Echo was not fond of. When Lenny began to walk away, she shot Gray another look. She was angry and also betrayed that had had basically chosen this stranger over their safety. Slowly, she turned away and walked after Lenny, keeping an ear on Rory in case she decided to pursue them. The sound of her boots crunching on the dead leaves filled the quiet air. It was growing even darker and Echo switched on her night vision. Another perk of being a panther shifter. Echo looked back to see if Amell was following them. She didn't know him well enough to make a guess on where he stood. However, it made sense that he would choose the safety over himself and his sibling versus this vampire lady. Echo was still slightly shocked that Gray had opted to trust her so quick. However, she also knew that people were nasty. She had been hurt emotionally enough times in her past to know that people would almost always choose themselves and their own interests over others. As they reached the safehouse, Echo shifted to her panther form and climbed onto the roof of the shelter. She didn't feel like seeing anyone at the moment and would much rather sit in silence. The cat laid down and rested her large head in her paws, watching the dark landscape around her. Suddenly, the scent of a dead animal filled her sensitive nose. Echo's fur bristled and she guessed it was probably Rory's doing. At least it was a dead animal and not a dead person though. The panther walked towards the edge of the roof where the scent was the strongest and soon found the stranger. There wasn't any use hiding her presence. This woman was annoyingly in tune with her surroundings.

Cinder listened to Quinn and nodded. "I guess. I haven't really learned to use it well enough to help defend myself though. Once someone figures out it's an illusion, it's bad news for me." she said quietly and managed to glance at Quinn. When the girl commented that they were almost there, Cinder almost sighed with relief. At least once we get there, I won't have to worry about getting eaten by anything tonight. she thought and glanced up at the sky again. It seemed like the darkness was creeping even faster, enveloping everything into its deadly shadow. Cinder was almost certain that monsters were waiting within the darkness, ready to strike as soon as the sun dipped below the horizon. She wondered how long Quinn would allow them to stay. Going from one to three people was a large jump. Especially if Quinn was planning on sharing supplies. The more Cinder thought about it, the more Cinder realized just how generous Quinn was being to allow them to stay with her. It was a huge act of kindness, something Cinder hadn't seen in a long time.

Ellie tensed at the mention of gangs. "Wait, what gangs?" She asked. She hadn't ever run upon gangs, groups sure, she'd raided some of them, but never gangs. Those two were very different things. If there were gangs then the amount of danger Ellie had just put the both of them in was more than she could have imagined. And Erion? She was the gentler of the twins and she was in the cities which was the most dangerous, but Erion had insisted to go looting there. Ellie forgot how to breathe for a few seconds and her mind hazed slightly before she came back to reality. As Nyx continued speaking her panic dwindled and her irritation grew. She didn't need to be babysat by some bow and arrow guy. She also knew how to take care of herself. Ellie was ready to spew a few nasty words at the archer when Alyssa spoke and thank the guy. She bit her tongue and held back her vile words for Alyssa's sake, but her irritation didn't leave. Ellie glanced over and notice how she sidled up against her so they were barely an inch apart. She started walking and grabbed Alyssa's hand and pulled her along, with Nyx following with his fire. Her touch lingered longer than it should have on Alyssa's hand before it returned back to her side. She shot a glance at the two of them, a gentle gaze on her friend and a scowl on Nyx. "Wow, who gave you your medical degree." She jeered at his mention of needing to fix her wounds. She wasn't stupid, she knew how to clean her own wounds. "So, Nyx, are you all be your lonesome too? Just trying to find some damsels in distress?" She mocked and arched a brow. She'd play nice, but she needed some form of entertainment. Ellie wanted to see how far she could push his buttons since she had to team with him.
