I'm not 100% on constellations, but I have to think that's not a random assortment of stars. lol It's gotta be a constellation. XD

it looks like the top half at least of Orion, or it could be the Crater constellation it is a little blurry

They're based off cattle, I believe. :3
From what it seems they might be dairy cows, the brown one being a Jersey and the black/white one a Holstein, possibly.

great minds thinking alike, i was just trying to look to see if any of them resembled what was on this pups shoulder, lol! xD

I want to say that it's the Cancer zodiac constellation, but it's kind of missing a star for it to really be that one, maybe.

Then again those faint stars are a bit harder for me to see well, lol!

I dunno, kinda looks like the start of Sagittarius to me based off this:



It would account for the dim star to the right of the bottom brightest star. It does still have growing to do, so it could be that it's just starting to form the constellation. Who knows xD

What were the event start dates of the past? I saw it posted earlier but I don't want to browse through 1000 post with the words "July event dates". Its just to give me an idea when it starts.

when does the summer event start? c:

There is no set date for the event to start each year, and users aren't told the exact date beforehand, though the news site may post a reminder that it will start soon.
Last year we had these fun announcements pop up one by one on the day before the event:

(Sadly now deleted from the site. One post from the 14th is still there, though!)

The past summer event dates were as follows:
2011: July 18 - August 6
2012: July 14 - July 24
2013: July 23 - August 6
2014: July 25 - August 15
2015: July 25 - August 9
2016: July 15 - July 30

With the exception of 2011 and 2013, all of the starting days were Fridays and Saturdays.

And then last year was the 22nd, a Saturday

Well there is talk that, since its the 10th anniversary, it is most likely the event will be extra special. So I wouldn't be too surprised if its late so long as it is good. I just hope its not too long of a wait. Its killing me wanting to know what its about!

And, Aaron✦, thank you for the repost. I will see if I can save it somewhere for easy referencing. I always forget the start dates (and even the month lol)!
