Close to average for a male, at 30 inches to the shoulder and 90 pounds. Or, at least a male in this area. His fur is a mix of light muted and dark browns, the dark brown almost hitting black. A very interesting pattern as well, though he wouldn't know anything about it. His eyes are a pale ghostly blue-white, with no distinction between pupil and iris.

Personality: Quiet to the point that outsiders and newcomers don't even know that he can talk. Even his movements are silent, if he isn't running into things. So his personality isn't well known either. He tends to stick to himself and try to stay out of everyone's way. Very nervous at times, especially in places he has never been before or after bad storms or season changes that would alter the landscape. But for the most part he's calm, sitting off to the side with a relaxed expression. He seems to want to be helpful, will point wolves in the direction of prey that he smells, hears, or feels the movement of through the ground. Since he lacks sight, he had to get creative with how he finds food or locates danger. He can't do much to hunt what he finds, nor can he really fight back against an aggressor. But he can tell where they are at all times, so evading them (in an area he knows well) is fairly easy. When you can get him to speak, though, he seems rather like he wished he hadn't ran from his attackers. That he was no longer there to be a burden on everyone around him. Prone to wonder off alone because of this, often considering walking off until the ground is no longer familiar and letting his worthless hide starve to death. So it's probably best that you don't ask him about his blindness or anything else associated with it...

History: Vagabond was born blind, and it took a long while for his mother to explain to him that everyone else could see things that he could not, and that that was why he was the only one constantly running into his siblings and practically every bush and tree in the area. His parents were part of this tribe, and he knows no other world than this one. His mother was old when he was born, so she wasn't around for much of his life, and his father was never known. So after her passing he sort of fell through the cracks. His siblings quickly moved on or don't speak to him much. What else could they really do? Any moment a danger he couldn't see would claim his life, or he'd fall off a cliff or get brain damage from running full throttle right into a tree. So he grew up essentially alone, surrounded by strangers. But he accepted this, as he does everything in his life. Not bitter with them or the gods for making him blind. And there he has been ever Since, drifting around the pack territory like a ghost. Surviving, but not really alive.

may seem useless but due to his adaptation,
and the fact that he was born deaf, he has
grown used to the feel of the earth around

Hey, sorry to bug everyone, but I just thought I should tell the group that I apologize for being a little nonexistent over the past few days. Life just got crazy hectic on me.

Also, as of today, my schedule is suddenly packed. From today until 7/14 I will have limited time to get on and try to catch up on posts. Then from 7/14 until 7/21, I will not be able to post at all -- I am going camping for the week and will not have any service. Lastly, from 7/21 until 7/29, my posting will once again be limited, as I am going to the beach for that week. So I will probably be back at the end of July and beginning of August. I will try to post right before I leave, and I will try to post as much as possible, but I just wanted to let everyone know just in case I stop replying.

If you would like to move on without my characters, I understand, but if you can hold out a week or a few days, I could possibly post a paragraph or two reply. If you're desperate for a reply, feel free to message me and I'll get a short one up as soon as I see the message. Thank you guys for the patience and again I apologize for disappearing.

And I do like your thoughts on Folkvar and Vagabond getting along over that shared issue. Maybe he'd go to Folkvar somewhat often for spiritual guidance. He's gonna hit dark times (no pun intended) that might take a lot of guidance to pull him out of.
