today is the day that i will attempt to fly across the atlantic ocean. no one has done it before, and i wish to be the first.

i've got everything set up, and "the spirit of st. louis" is revving to go. i've got enough gas for the plane, and i've got enough food and water for myself. it all just depends on how the weather fares and if i lose visual contact in the air. i have high hopes for this trip.

I feel like they'd be very quiet and sweet, the type to stop and smell the flowers. • Orazio was born on the beautiful Italian countryside, but he never got to be awe-struck by the rolling hills of Tuscany. He had been tucked safely in his mother's arms as she fled the countryside, as she fled Italy, out of fear her son would grow up in the harsh environment she had been in for so long. Orazio doesnt remember the trip of course, but the emotion his mother felt during that time has made its way into his very core.

He is a man of passion, and of dignity. A man holding much pride and power in his words; a charming manipulator accompanied only by his own quick wit and strong personality. Perhaps that emotion manifested harshly in him, and perhaps his mother had not envisioned this future for her son, but it manifested all the same.

He had clawed his way up the ladder of success with no guide. He had fought his way from the dirty New York streets he had played on as a boy, to the fast-paced world of Wallstreet where he would stand as a man; from a sucker to a stockbroker.

It wasn't clear why he'd never returned to Tuscany. Perhaps he feared his origins, as if his expectations may exceed the reality. He didn't wish to find his father. He had seen enough of the photos in his mother's small album to know that a man who caused those black of eyes was not a man worthy of his time. He didn't wish to visit Italy for any reason, at least not a personal reason... so why did his soul long for those Italian sunsets? He had the money, but he didnt quite have the courage to face what his mother tried so desperately to shield him from.
