Rhett rubbed his neck "Do you understand why I was a bat in the first place?"

Shiloh looked at him, "Too be all cute." She said with a smile on her face,

Rhett sighed "Not exactly" he said softly

Shiloh looked at him, "Well then refresh my memory please." She said, waiting

Rhett sighed and looked down at his hand "Well… when I bit you to take a small amount of blood it… enhanced our bond in a sort of way" he said and sighed "I already loved you and cared about you but when you allowed me to use you blood it sort of… kicked my instincts into gear in a way" he said "It is a bit difficult to understand for some people but when that happened it made my instincts want to protect you and so when you were upset and left my head and instincts were fighting one another one said that it was ok you just needed time and we could talk it through while the other wanted to chase after you and bring you back where you were safe and no longer in distress" he took a shaky breath "This caused me to be a bit out of control hence the bat thing"

Shiloh nodded as he explained remembering hearing it, "Oh." She said, looking at him.

Rhett sighed "I don't blame you if you are upset or want me to go away" he said quietly

Shiloh tackled him in a hug, "No leaving me." She said looking up at him, "But I want to see your bat side again." She said with a smile

Shiloh nodded, "Sure." She said then went back to playing with Kaida.
