Does anyone have a CB musky egg they'd be willing to trade? I could try to breed something for you if you'd like? I can't find one anywhere!

I'll try to help you find one (or anyone else who is struggling), but I'm currently egg locked so it may be a day or two before I can start looking!!

Well CBs tend to be harder to get. Some dragons are really hard to find in the caves, like golds and silvers which makes them worth a lot. Lineaged dragons are worth less in most cases since it’s easier to get them. You can just breed and breed until you get the dragon you want, and there will be many other dragons with a similar lineage as the one you just bred. It’s different with CBs where you actually have to hunt for them in the caves, where they appear pretty randomly, and hope no one gets it before you do when the egg you’re looking for actually pops up. Or, if you’re trying to trade for a rare CB egg, you might need to look for or breed a number of other dragons, depending on what the other person wants.

As for lineages, patterns are considered nice. Checkers, spirals, and stairsteps are the most common patterns. This is an example of a messy lineage. Even though it’s a prize dragon, it’s really not worth much because of how messy the lineage is. Also, lower generations are usually worth more, though there are exceptions.

Messy lineages don’t look as nice as cleaner, patterned lineages, so the demand is lower. A CB gold could easily go for a 2G prize or maybe even a Neglected Dragon (which are notoriously hard to get), but a lineaged gold probably wouldn’t go for anything like that, even if the lineage is nice. I like the CBs more cause I can start my own lineages with them instead of trying to continue a line someone else started.

You’ll also be able to offer more when it comes to trading. I’ve been able to do IOUs for 2G silvers or golds from one of my CBs as an offer for something else I want.

Most people just freeze their messy lineaged dragons. Some people even trade rates for groups of messy Hatchis just for freezing, but few people would freeze a CB, especially if it’s a rare one.

People also like to have nice lineages and CBs because it's really easy to get messy lineages. If all you want is a gold, you can get a messy one pretty easily for free. After a bit, the game becomes boring because you have everything you want. Lineage projects and stuff like that keep the game interesting for a lot of people.
