Hannah shivered, closing her heavy lidded eyes letting a tear stream down her cheek. Outside the ally rain thundered down, cars seared off and people huddled under their coats and umbrellas hurring off. She let all these things die away, only her heavy breathing seemed to be heard as she fell asleep.

Skipper flattened his ears, sorrowful. Beauty got up, and walked up to the fence, pressing her nose aganist his, "Howl to her." She whispered, and turned, and ran off. Skipper sighed, and beant his head back and howled...

(Wow. I've never been to Paris...but I've been to Mexico two times. ^^)

Hannah hear the faint howl. At first, she ignored it, but she could detect Skipper soft voice, calling to her. Maybe I'm hearing things, she told herself. But she got up. She ran down the ally, down the street, she kept running until she came upon the pound. That's where she stopped, unease pricking at her heart like a thorn.

Skipper howled once again, tears streaming down his snout. He had never felt so much like an idiot ever before.

Hannah slowly crept forward, sticking her nose through the fence and looking at him with uneasy eyes. "What do you want?" She whispered; her voice was stern but soft.

Skipper looked at her, "I only want you ..." He whispered back.

Hannah looked down for a moment, the rain streeking down her fur. "I want you to." She looked up with hopeful eyes.

"Now do you want to tell me why your here, at the pound?" Hannah looked at him, concerned.
