“I’m so cold.” She whispered and held the blanket tighter around her and the infant. “What should we call her. We can’t call her ‘it’. She’s not a shape shifting clown.”

Alessa wrapped her arms around Cara, trying to warm her up. "You can name her," she said, looking at the child.

“Alessa. I named her after my favorite person.” She whispered and snuggled into her.

"Alessandra, then," she said. "Or Lessa. Or Less. We don't want to get confused," she said, smiling. She kissed Cara's cheek and held her close.

“Lessa, I like it.” She grinned and looked at the infant. “She kinda looks like you babe.”

Alessa shook her head, smiling. "No, she'd cuter than me," she said, looking at the child. "I'm no where near cute. She must look more like you, then, because you're the cutest person I know," she teased, kissing the tip of Cara's nose.

Alessa blushed at that. She knew, of course, that the child didn't look like her since they weren't related.

“You’re my favorite person in the whole world.” She whispered and kissed the tip of Alessa’s nose.

Alessa smiled, and she kissed Cara. "Well, you're the only person that I genuinely like, so..."

“I agree with that.” She smiled and bounced the child when she started crying.
