Welcome to the Island for Dogs.

At first, the island was organised as a private get away place
for service dogs, who's owners believed they needed a break.
This included police dogs, fire-fighters, guide dogs, security
dogs, and more. However, after a few years of great popularity,
the island became open to all sorts of dogs. Everyone is welcome
to stay here. The island is for dogs only, the only humans on the
island are the workers who provide for the dogs.

This luxurious island has a five star hotel with excellent service,
a hotel, multiple swimming pools, a private beach and even
sports and entertainment services.

This is a place dogs go to have fun and live life to the fullest. Any
thing can happen. Dogs may fall in love, or create enemies. Some
are here to create an impressive reputation for themselves, while
some may not even want to be here at all. There are many opport-
unities on the Island for Dogs.

❀ all cs rules apply - pretty self-explanatory!
❀ 3 sentences per character, per post - this is a low semi-literature
roleplay, meaning you require a minimum of 3 sentences per character
every time you post. This is not super strict, so if you have writer's block,
dont worry! Grammar and punctuation is important but I understand that
mistakes happen, so again, don't worry about it too much!
❀ no character limit - make as many characters as you wish! Just make
sure you can handle them all. Make your characters interesting and
unique! It would be no fun if we have 20 female german shepherds
who were all ex-police dogs. Have fun with breeds, personalities,
and back stories! Even genders are encouraged, but not necessary.
❀ LGBT+ friendly roleplay - if you do not agree with this rule, simply
do not join.
❀ post forms on the discussion thread - discussion thread will be linked
here. Post all forms, OOC talk and reservations there! Any
one who posts something other than roleplay on this thread will

❀ the resort ❀
The dogs are allowed to stay in a luxurious resort, which consists of
many facilities to cater for their needs. First of all, you have the
hotel where all the dogs are staying in. The ground floor contains
the lobby, where all the dogs check in and receive a tag that is
attached to their collar. This tag is scanned by the employees so
that the dog can be identified. Any of the dog's belongings are
taken up their room. There are three types of rooms in the
hotel: medium standard, high standard (look out onto the
beach), and suites. The better the room, the more expensive it is.

Outside the hotel, there is a large swimming pool with a tiki bar
nearby. This pool is public and open to everyone staying at the
hotel. There is also an indoor swimming pool.

Next to the hotel stands a miniature mall. Here, the dogs have a
selection of various cafes and restaurants where they can eat. This
includes an Italian restaurant, a steak house, a fast food restaurant,
a seafood restaurant and multiple coffee shops. There are also food
stands selling things like hot dogs and refreshing drinks. On the other
side of the mall, there are also clothing and accessory shops, toy shops,
jewelry stores, and souvenir shops. Finally, there is a cinema and a
theater where some dogs might spend their evenings. There is also a
decorative fountain in the middle.

❀ the beach ❀
the beach is located only a few minutes walk from the resort. It has
white, soft sand and warm waters. At different parts of the island the
waves are more or less intense, so the waves appeal to both regular
swimmers and surfers. The beach has showers included, along with
another tiki bar where drinks and snacks are served. The beach is a
common place for get togethers and some dogs like to organise beach
parties and events. Sometimes, you might spot dolphins and if you're
lucky, you might get to ride one.

Island for Dogs tries to cater to dogs of all backgrounds and interests.
Because of this, there are many sport facilities on the island. This
includes an agility course, a racecourse, flyball course, and many
more. The island also has multiple clubs organised for dogs to
join freely, including the showing club, hunting club, pup's club,
and many more. These clubs organise competitions, events, and
practise their specialty or are just for fun.

You may start however you wish. You dog may be arriving at the hotel just now, or have already been here for a while.

Braxton is organising a beach party in the evening. All dogs are invited and it's an opportunity for them to meet and interact. After the beach party he is inviting some dogs to return to his suite to continue the party there.

The sun gently warmed the setter's fur as she padded into the vast hotel doors. The cold marble floor felt refreshing under her paws, and the wide open space was unusual to her. She came from a rather small house, and other than the airport, she was never inside a building this size. Her house back home is just a cottage, with sheep and fields all around with mountain peaks touching the sky in the distance. This? This was completely different. Either way, she promised herself she would try to enjoy it, it was a break she deserved.

As she walked up to the main desk, a young woman with a slick pony tail attached a tag onto her collar which she then scanned. An ID, of sorts. She received a quick pat on the head before her luggage was taken away and Maya was free to do as she pleases. So many things to do, and yet she had no idea where to start. The scent of chlorine hit her nose from the nearby swimming pool, and sure, why not start there? She picked up her pace and as the pool began to come into view, she began to jog and eventually run before leaping and landing into the water with an impressive splash.

Brax has already been at the island for a few days. He arrived early in the morning and spend most of his days sitting in his personal hot tub in his suite, or attempting to court ladies at the beach. While some showed interest, he still hasn't found one he was particularly interested in. However, perhaps this could change at the party? The party was mostly his idea, and he got some help organising it from a few other high end dogs. This was his night, it was his time to shine.

The large cane corso jumped and landed his front paws on top of the dresser, where a shiny golden chain hung from a hook. With one swift motion, it went over his head and slid down his silky neck. Checking his appearance a few more times in the mirror before departing, he made his way out of his room and headed towards the elevator. He needed to get some supplies for the party later, such as food and a variety of treats and drinks.

As he reached the ground floor, he caught an eye of an Irish setter which just arrived. She smelled of the country and farm animals, clearly a farm dog. He huffed, how do these kinds of dogs end up on this island anyway? He payed no attention to her and continued on his way out of the hotel.

The warm ocean water splashed around the golden retriever, as he pranced around in the shallow waters. The waves were gentle and brushed against his legs. His mouth was salty from the ocean water, and eyes cold and slightly burning. He didn't care, however, as he has never quite been at the beach before. This is what he was missing out on! He didn't miss his crummy apartment that much. If anything, this made him want to return to the life of a stray even more. No dusty rooms, and adventure any way you go.

Maverick paced briskly into the large, cool opening of the hotel's main lobby. The marbled floor was gorgeously stretched from wall to wall and offered a chilling touch to his paws as he stepped toward the main desk. A young, kind woman offered him a small tag that she eventually latched onto his collar. His golden eyes traced the walls behind the desk and eventually his head was lifting slowly and almost turned vertical as he stared up at the tall ceilings that were laced with delicate, detailed trim at every surface. This is definitely not the farm, now is it? His thoughts had escaped him, but after coming back into focus he heard the clicking of his suitcases being rolled away toward an elevator. A human guided the rolling, real-leather trimmed luggage into the beeping elevator and swept them up into the air toward his room. He remained in the lobby with hopes and desires to meet other dogs who had received the luxury of being sent to this paradise.

Shelby looked around the lobby, uncertainty making her fur stand up. She wagged her tail as a human behind a counter came around and attached a tag to her collar. Shelby sniffed the air, and smelled one of her favourite scents. Chlorine! Pool! She dashed off towards the scent, her claws clacking on the floor. She emerged into sunlight, and saw an Irish Setter already swimming in the pool. Ignoring the other dog, Shelby crouched down, waited a few moments, then sped towards the water, making an impressively long jump, and landing with a less impressive splash.

North entered the lobby of the hotel, and was immediately cowed by the sheer size of it. Her home on the farm had been nothing like this, and she'd had her owner on the plane ride over here. But now, she was alone. A brown and white male dog was already there, but North ignored him, turning purposefully away. As a human approached her, North took a step back, tail low. The human made soothing noises, and rubbed North's sweet spot under her chin as she attached some type of tag to North's collar. She backed away as soon as the human stood up again, and another human took her bags and headed up the staircase.
