Pokerus infects a user that is online. It is like a X2 day but for that user only.
The more clicks you give that user the higher chance you have of catching it next.
You can see the pokerus host in the top left corner.

Rightear told me- go to your party page and make sure you have an empty slot in your party.
Than click the red button that says DO NOT CLICK.
You click the red X after it says You just had to do it....
Then you have the event in your party!
