Does anyone know/have a link to the stuff that's being said in the background of Fake Love? It's not in the official lyrics and they're probably not important (they're probably just echoes/exclamations). I'm just curious lol

Like right after both the intro and the repeat of the intro (before the first chorus and the first bridge thingy), it sounds like "I'm so afraid of I'm so sick of I'm so afraid of" (said in English, if I got it right) in the background, and then it happens again before the second bridge thingy. This is probably the most interesting thing in this post since it's not a straight echo of the official lyrics (nowhere in the translations of the lyrics does it mention anything about being afraid even though it could fit)

And in RM's second section, there's... something being said in the background in the first two lines of that versebut I can't figure it out lol and it's driving me up the wall because I can't turn on monoaudio when I listen with headphones plugged in to my laptop, and whatever's being said in the background: left ear first line, right ear second line lol

And in the original MV, after the cutscene (I know no terminology plz excuse me), after the music starts up again and before the second bridge thingy, someone's singing what sounds like "no no no way, no no no way, no no no waaaay" to my American English ears

(... speaking of the original MV, do I just have bad memory or did the original MV always have that cut-in of Jin(?)'s face at 4:29? Maybe it's just my memory since the last time I watched it was before I got better at identifying everyone a few weeks ago. But I watched the original MV a ton because it fascinated me* and I don't remember a cut-in of anyone's face then?

* I finally looked up BTS in late May and the original Fake Love MV was on the front page so I decided to give it a listen and a watch. That's how I became a fan/got hooked whoops)

@nickjr: hopefully I'm hearing things correctly and can help !! I usually look for hidden vocal versions of the songs (this is a good one for fake love) to help me figure things out <:

to answer the first part, I think rm is saying something like 'it's all fake love, I'm so sick of _ _ fake love, yo'. the two underscores are the trickiest part to hear when the music intensifies, but I think it might be something like 'all this' or 'this this'? unfortunately, it's also being filtered out in the hidden vocal version along with the main lyrics >:

for the second part, it's really hard to hear it over the music, but sounds like rm is saying something like 'oh yeah' ??? then when it goes back to both ears, that last 'oh no' is really clear. but this one is kind of hard to hear so I could be wrong LOL. I have no idea if it might be something in korean that I just don't understand, though,,,,,

and the third part,,,,,I'm not exactly sure which part you're talking about since I can't hear anything similar in the mv, although jungkook does have some adlibs in there around those lines which can be heard both in the mv and in the hidden vocal version! from what I can hear, he's singing 'love you so bad' and 'baaaaaad' a couple of times.

as for the last part about jin's cut in, I honestly couldn't say,,,,,it seems so familiar, but I'm ?? not ??? sure ???? if they did change it, this wouldn't be the first time a k-pop group has updated a music or dance video - I remember devil by super junior's performance video being changed because heechul made a mistake that the video editors hadn't noticed before uploading it. I'll look around and see if anyone happened to download / reupload the video when it first came out to see if there were any changes made!

... and lol I thought the quiet background "fake love" shouts in the chorus were just hoots or something -snorts- Now I know where that part of the fanchant thing I've heard came from LOL

first part:
Ooh, I'm still not used to their accents when they speak English, so without some of the harder consonants being clear in "it's all fake love" I'm hearing "I'm so 'fraid of," but "it's all fake love" definitely makes more sense

Now that I'm listening more closely... The blanks could be "this" but pronounced with two units like how they pronounce "fake" in the chorus? so "I'm so sick of this fake love" with "this" pronounced like "thi-suh" (but "fake" pronounced with just one unit, not like in the chorus)

second part:
Now that I have something to listen for, I can hear "oh yeah" and "oh no" in the left and right ears, yeah! Interesting:
"Why you sad? I don't know, I don't know (oh yeah)
Smile, say 'I love you' (oh no)"
That fits lol

third part:
It's probably just an interjection or exclamation or something (I mean I'm hearing "no way" haha), but I don't know Korean so I could be way off-base. Here's the section in the original MV:
start - 4:05 when the water in Jimin's room is rushing out (preceded by an "ooh" one octave/one fifth higher than the starting note of whatever is being sung)
end - 4:10 when we see (and hear...) Hoseok curling up (as an aside, I don't think I'll ever get over what they replaced that scene with in the extended version--if it weren't for the giant "Snickers" branding, that scene would've looked like it came straight out of a horror movie I swear)

last part:
Ooh okay. I feel like the quick shot right after Jin's cut-in (viewing the brighter version of the group dance but from a distance and at an angle) is also new... -twitches-

To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Jin's hair during Fire/Save Me era. However I just looked at a few recent fansite photos of him and he doesn't look too bad. I guess it may just be the styling back then? The parting and such.

Or maybe it's just that I have strange tastes. (Liking "coconut head" bowlcuts, strongly disliking Jimin's black-with-orange-highlights hair in the Fake Love MV...)
