carly smiled excitedly. "follow me." she said happily. she started walking to the stables behind her house, getting a helmet for lana along the way.

lana nodded and followed carly. looking at the helmet in her hands, she carefully put it on trying not to mess up her twin braids.

carly got her own helmet and put it on while she walked into the stables. she got the horse lana would be riding out first, the horses name was chestnut and he was one of the most well trained horses there. "that's chestnut. you'll be riding him." carly told lana before getting her horse, scout out. she put the tack on both of the horses and then turned to lana. "you need help getting on? all you need to do is step onto the buckle and swing your legs on either side of the horse."

lana took a second to just admire the horse. he was beautiful- more beautiful than lana imagined. she had seen a horse at least twice, but nowhere near as close as this one was to her. “what? oh..” lana looked at the equipment on the horses back. she bit her lip a little bit, hoping she wouldn’t be embarrassing herself too much, and climbed onto the horse.

carly watched as she climbed on, making sure lana didn't hurt herself. carly smiled once she got on the horse "you did it!" she said happily and climbed onto her horse.

lana blushed slightly. “yeah, i guess i did.”

carly smiled at her and walked her horse to the exit of the stables. "don't be scared, all he'll do is follow me. it's what he's trained to do."

lana was startled when she felt the horse moving beneath her. she tightened her grip on the reigns. she chuckled at carly, hoping her face wasn’t too red.

carly smiled at her when she saw her blushing. she rode out of the stables, just trotting with the horse and went on the pathway to the treehouse. when they got there she smiled back at lana. "that wasn't that bad, now was it?"

still not feeling risky enough to loosen her grip, lana looked up ahead at the trail they were going on. looking up at carly, she let out a soft smile. “no.. actually it was kind of fun.” she said truthfully. other than her being absolutely terrified of falling right about now.
