Storybooke Academy (Open & Accepting!)

Welcome to Storybooke Academy, the school for the sons, daughters and others of popular fairytale characters! While they study here, each student will share a dormitory with three other students, and learn about what it takes to take up the mantle of their parents' stories. Learning about proper poise and grace, how to use each of their individual magic powers and skills, and much more, students will very quickly settle in and feel as though they belong. And then, after graduating, they'll begin living out their stories, just as their parents did before them. Princesses will be rescued, and villains will be defeated, and within the next ten to twenty years, the cycle will repeat itself.
But not everyone is entirely happy with this arrangement. For some students, they start to decide that they don't want to follow their story. They want to change their ending, whether it's to give themselves a happier ending, or to change who they're destined to be with, or they simply feel as though anyone should be able to choose their destiny. As a result, the school starts to divide into two sides - Destiny and Defy.
So which side are you on? And how much will it affect you and your friendships?

Rules
- No Mary Sues/Gary Stus/God modding.
- As per usual, all of Tess' rules apply (it should go without saying, but there's always someone...)
- PM me to reserve - they last for 24 hours, though you may request an extension. Otherwise, it's first-come, first-served (if a complete character form is posted...).
- I reserve the right to not allow someone to join (whether it's because I don't think they'll be committed, or something else).
- Please only join if you're going to actually be active and not forget about the roleplay after joining.
- Roleplay post lengths must be 5-6 sentences, at the least. No one- or two-liners.
- Characters must be in the range of 15-18.
- No romantic relations between a character that is 18 and a character younger than 17.
- No romantic relations between your own characters.
- Please have diversity with your characters. This includes ethnicity, gender, sexuality, body type, etc. etc. (if you have a problem with this, then I kindly ask that you don't join).

It is the first day back after Winter break - the Enchanted Lake is frozen over, and there is a thick later of snow everywhere.

"I have returned!" Elliot announced, pushing open the doors to the entrance hall with a flourish. Behind him were a few card soldiers, who were carrying his luggage for him, to take up to his dormitory. He grinned brightly, looking around the entrance hall at everyone else who had already arrived - though his smile was not warm, and was more cocky. Goodness, he could not wait until he was king. Until then, he was just going to have to make sure everyone else was preparing themselves and bowing down to him. He knew the majority of them - save for any of the Wonderlandians - wouldn't even be his subjects, but it was good practice for the future. He turned towards the card soldiers, directing them to his dormitory, telling them which room was his, then he started looking around the entrance hall, for someone to approach and talk to.

All in all, it was a fairly average day for Dylan. Nothing special. He'd spent the break, as he usually did, remaining at the school. Sure, everyone else was returning, but he wasn't really interested in seeing everyone just yet. Because he knew that most everyone would talk about their families and homelife... he really didn't want to deal with that right now. It always hurt to think about family, but he was still firmly set in his opinion that everyone had a destiny for a reason, and it was to be followed. It wasn't an odd thought... right? Dylan let out a slow breath, to steady himself. Then, he stepped onto the froze-over Enchanted Lake - which was somewhat hidden in the forest, which was near to the Storybooke Academy - and skated across it for a few meters, then he changed direction. It was almost like ballet dancing, which he was deeply talented in, only across ice (and he was pretty talented at ice skating anyway). Dylan hummed under his breath, as he continued ice skating.

Nickolai shivered slightly as he walked up the front steps of Storybooke Academy, a thick coat wrapped around himself to keep out the cold. He hated the cold, and couldn't wait for Spring and Summer to arrive. He knew that his story would take place around the festive season in the future, but he was against having to follow his destiny anyway. What was wrong with letting people choose their destinies? It wasn't as if the tales would be forgotten, especially as there were still people who spoke about their ancestors fondly. Nickolai stepped through the open door, carrying his luggage with him, ready to go up to his dormitory to unpack. But first, he felt like looking for someone to catch up with. He hadn't had the chance to really talk to anyone over the winter break, since he had been trying to keep himself warm, and his father had been trying to convince him that he needed to follow his destiny, especially as he had a very good one, considering how some of the other destinies were meant to end.

Vixella entered the school looking around for her best friend, she feared that she had arrived too early until she heard his announcement of his arrival. The gothic sleeping beauty curled her darkly colored lips into a smile, she approached the boy the heels of her boots clicking as she walked over to him, she pushed a strand of her behind her shoulder; she tossed her arm over his shoulder as she had came up behind him. "If it isn't the royal pain in the heart himself." Vixella mocked jokingly to her friend.

Cassidy walked onto the campus with a sly grin of evil appearing on his lips as he looked around to cause a little trouble, he looked over at a group of students and with a snap he had a shadow of a wild beast scaring them causing the group to run screaming; he laughed hard when they ran screaming. Cassidy ran his fingers through his hair as he entered the school, on his wat through he occasionally caused people to trip over some vines he made appear and then disappear; snickering to himself whenever they went to look at what they tripped over. It made him happy to be back causing mischief again.

It had been snow and ice which had taken his brother and sister, blown their souls away into the endless wind and left only him remaining. Asher hated winter, and he knew his mother did too. Despite how she tried to welcome him when he came home to visit, there was always an absence about her during this season, a disengagement from her surroundings. Yet he knew she would miss him deeply if he didn't come back to see her during the winter break. It was probably the time she needed his company most, yet it was also the time when he felt that his company was the least effective. With a sigh, he paused for a moment to stare up at the grandeur of the school - for many, it inspired awe, but Asher had never been particularly entranced by such things. He trotted past a few other kids who had already arrived, most hindered by dragging overstuffed luggage alongside themselves. Asher hadn't taken anything with him when he left, as he spent very little of his vacation time in his human state, so he breezed past his fellow students on their way to the entrance. Once he was inside, he continued to coldly stride past everyone else and made a beeline for his dorm.

The winter season was a joyous time for most, but for Piper in particular, there was always an undertone of latent anger in it. She was of a bloodline that, in many ways, celebrated callous destruction, and most bursts of positivity were injected with some sort of cry for vengeance. The Rat Princess herself engaged in the festive tradition of stealing gingerbread from bakery displays, usually in sprees. Even now, she had an assortment of cookies in cling wrap in her handbag. It was the only sweet thing she'd ever found herself really enjoying, and in fact even thinking about it made her crave some. Since her supply was quite abundant, Piper was willing to halt her journey towards the front door in order to fish an unfortunate gingerbread man out of the cling wrap in her handbag. Her accompaniment, a small troop of rats with sheeny fur and groomed whiskers, expressed their impatience by twitching their ears. Piper shoved the vaguely human-shaped cookie into her mouth legs-first, then continued on her way. Her little 'animal friends' were obliged to stay until she'd gotten fully unpacked, and she could sympathize with their desire to get it over with as quickly as possible - but they were also obliged to obey her without question, so that sympathy was only so strong.

Elodie waved goodbye to her parents as their royal carriage began to roll away. She was wrapped in a white fur cloak that almost blended into her skin tone, thankful it kept out the frigid temperature of the outdoors. Her servants walked in stride with her as she walked toward the entrance of the looming academy, carrying her luggage in their arms. Elodie made sure to smile at each of them, as well as any passing students she saw along her path, whether or not she knew anything of them all that well. She must be good to get her happy ending after all, her mother had said so herself mutilple times, all in that warbling tone that embodied her mother so well.Thankfully, Elodie had not inherited such a pitchy voice.

Eventually, she stepped into the entrance hall of the school, and directed her servants up to her dormitory, telling them to simply drop off her luggage and leave. They all nodded and hurried away, taking her long fur cloak with them to stow away into her closet. After a quick glance around the hall, Elodie quickly recognized her dormmate, the very cocky Elliot Hearts standing and chatting with a girl. She strode over to his spot and greeted him with a slight curtsy, smiling. "Why hello Elliot, how's Wonderland been treating you?"

Dynasty travelled through the forest outside the large mansion of a school. She frowned as crowds of children went inside, back to be told what to do and what not to do. She huffed and rolled her eyes "Like measly sheep." she mumbled to herself as she sat down, her back leaning against a large oak tree, its shadow dominating over her small body. With a subtle, innocent wave of her hand, the shadow folded into a solid form of a little baby sheep. She chuckled to herself and marvelled her powers. The lamb bleeped and then trotted around Dynasty, shadow mist waved around the pitch black creature. She smile to it and lightly patted the shadow sheets forehead and it nuzzled into her hand.

Justin lugged his bags through the hall of the school. He huffed and threw them over his shoulder for easier comfort. As he strolled through he watched the scenes that unfolded around him. So many seemingly familiar faces that Justin may have shared occasional conversations to but never fully developed a relationship with. He saw whom he recognised at the Queen of Hearts descendant. He raised a brow and a subtle smirk twisted on his expression. He then continued to is dorm, he smiled when he recognised a name that was to be in his dorm "Kitty Katt eh?" he mumbled to himself and continued to dorm five. As he opened the door he was struck by a girl there, with rats all around her. Justin raised a brow as he placed down his bags "What a lovely sight indeed, yes a lovely sight indeed! I don't believe we have met? Names Justin Hatter! Descendant of the mad man himself!" Justin reached out his hand to shake it with the rat womans
