Rigel was walking somewhere, but there was no certain destination for him. He had nothing to do, so he found himself wandering from the main building. Sounds of conversation drifted to his ears as he passed the garden, but he directed his attention elsewhere and continued on. Rigel had joined the band of humanoids not too long before. He still couldn't believe he was one himself; it was crazy to think about. He wanted to go back home, but he knew it wouldn't be safe there for him ever again. Rigel knelt down and placed a hand on the pavement, willing the color the change. He watched as the color of his fingers and hand quickly adjusted to the grey beneath. Although he was frightened of his newfound power, another part of him was incredibly intrigued. Even though many never paid any attention to him anyway, he could actually conceal himself if he wanted. Rigel stood, shoved his hands into his pockets, and resumed his strolling. He had a lot to get used to.

He nodded slowly and figured that at least there were some kids out there that enjoyed physical movement. Most of them preferred to sit back and sleep all day. He wished he could experience such a feeling but unfortunately he had slept for too long one time and woke up thirty years too late.
He sighed and thought for a moment as the little man talked about school
"You have been in school before?" he asked, curious to learn more about the other's past. He was careful, however, to remember not to bring up any sort of bad memories or anything that would trigger something. Most humanoids in the group had PTSD and hated talking about their histories. It made sense, horrible things like that would hurt someone so young so badly
"What was it like? Were there any people you liked in school?"
His tone was calm as they continued to walk, and it seemed that he was only trying to casually converse rather than pry.

He glanced down at his jacket and realized the other was right. Really it wasn't comfortable at all and he was only being polite so that they wouldn't go anywhere Grayson didn't want to go. He stopped and nodded slightly before shrugging, and turning back a little
"Alright zen.. ve vill head back to my flat. I'll invite you in for cookies if you vant, I made extra by accident last veek und nobody has been around to eat any.."
A guilty pleasure of his.. he loved baking sometimes. Even for no reason he just enjoyed having cookies or cake at his disposal. After a long day of work filled with false leads and emptiness he loved coming back home to stuff himself full of sugar. Even though it probably wasn't good for his body.
I mean how else would you want to die
"Come.. I'll lead ze vay."
He turned back around and smiled while heading back for his apartment

She continued on and remembered the scourge that roamed the streets. She feared those who were different and didn't want anyone to get hurt. Though she sympathized with the humanoids and hoped they would be okay
She felt a gust of cold winds and shuddered, wishing the weather would just warm up already. Things like this were unpredictable and she hoped that in time she'd be able to walk around without her fur jacket.
A sudden gust of wind pushed her forwards out of nowhere, she squeaked in surprise and tumbled straight into a man who was also walking on the street. She struggled to stand upright and also get off him as she made soft noises and moved her fisted hand in a circle around her chest.
She was apologizing silently with her hands and she hoped he read asl, else there would be no other way to communicate.
She looked unhappy and was upset she had run into him, hoping he was okay and not one of those humanoids
One could never be too careful, she took a step back and realized she had lost her phone in the mix, and glanced around for it on the ground

Rigel let out a yelp as he was shoved to the ground out of nowhere. He hissed as pain shot up his left arm and turned to find his assailant. It was a girl, and she was frantically moving her hand in a weird way against her chest, he observed with raised eyebrows. "Do you mind?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. How and why she toppled onto him was beyond him. He was hoping for a quiet, peaceful stroll, and now he had to deal with someone. The girl's eyebrows were furrowed and a frown showed on her features. She seemed to be looking for something. Rigel spotted a phone lying a short distance away and reached for it, then cautiously stood and held it out for her. He cocked his head. The girl had been making low noises, but she wasn't speaking. What's up with her?

"C'mon now Salem, you can't lag behind or else someone might mistake you for food!" Lilith called back to the jet black goose who was squawking and flapping it's wings behind her, looking as though it was doing some sort of funny dance to show off his luxurious black wings to everyone around him. The girl rolled her eyes and started to laugh. "I'm sure everyone already understands that your feathers are beautiful, now come here." Lilith stopped and turned toward the goose. She bent over and lifted the him into her arms. Salem's left foot was crippled, which made him walk in a funny way sometimes... But that didn't stop him from enjoying his life to it's fullest. Lilith looked around the area, and eventually decided to sit down on a bench in front of the large building. She started ruffling Salem's feathers.

As he always did, Koda kept to himself as he wandered around the outside of the building. He was looking for a good place to sit down and draw, feeling his hands itch to be doing something. She noticed he didn't read her at all, which was a huge problem. Now he was upset and she had no way to verbally tell him she was sorry. Though when he found her phone, she sighed and took it while physically thanking him.
She opened up an app real quickly on her phone and typed something in before a robotic voice spoke from her phone's speakers
"I am sorry for running into you. It was a complete accident."
This voice was not hers, or anyone elses. If she didn't feel like speaking she would only type it in and let the robot speak for her
She hoped the man was okay and she typed in another sentence or two
"Thank you for finding my phone. I do not have the ability to speak. I apologize for the inconvenience."

"Oh..." Rigel mentally scolded himself for his cold demeanor. "No problem," he responded when she thanked him. So, Rigel thought to himself, she's unable to speak. He wondered about what might be the cause, but he kept that to himself. No need to intrude after just meeting her. He settled his hands back into his jacket pockets. If she can't speak, that must mean... "Was that sign language, then? What you were doing with your hand?" Rigel asked, hoping to get a better understanding of what happened.

Jazmine sighed with relief as Karim caught up to her. "Sorry about that, my bad." She apologised quickly, then grabbed the other by the wrist. She pulled him along the large sidewalk, until they reached a busy dollar store. Jaz only glanced back at Karim once, uncertainty in her blue eyes, before she led him inside.
