A Dark Personality

Kiranta has a soul that is filled with anger, hatred and frustration. He doesn’t know why he is always so angry with the world all of the time but knows that that is just the way he is and will always be. He does wish that he was more like his sister who has the ability to love and care for others that he can not even begin to understand. His anger and frustration usually will get Kiranta into an argument or a fight over something so small and insignificant that normally to anyone else it wouldn't be worth fighting, but for him it feels right and for a short time he will feel happiness. He knows it isn’t normal for one to feel happiness from someone's else's negative emotions but he has no control over it which scares him. He never is sure if he is a monster or just someone that needs help.

Our Song: Resonance - Soul Eater Intro, English version sung by Caleb Hyles

Kiranta's Song: Animal I have become by Three Days Grace

Companion: Nisha(night) the Raven

A Responsibility

Postby Stitch~ » Mon Jun 18, 2018 2:21 pm

Ever since I could remember, it has been my job to take care of Asha. Now what kid wants the responsibility of taking care of their blind sister? I will answer that for you. No one. Watching her try to maneuver the den was pitiful and everything she did was clumsy. It wasn’t fair that I got stuck taking care of her. Not like I could blame our parents for walking out on us. They didn’t want the responsibility either.
I watched her stumble on everything: rocks, logs, tree roots. She couldn’t go anywhere without falling. And of course she was so stubborn to let me do anything for her. No Kiranta. I can do it. Pfft. Yeah right. Just what I want, my blind sister chopping up veggies to make a stew.
I watched her now, trying to gather berries and roots for whatever she was going to make for us tonight. I watched her try to feel her way around the trees and noticed a large log laying in her path. I didn’t have to move it. She falls enough so what is one more time. But I sighed and carefully tugged it out of her way. She brushed right past, almost close enough to touch him, and had no idea that her brother had just saved her from a fall.
Watching my sister was certainly annoying. Having to make sure that she actually picked edible berries, or the right herbs. More than once I had found toxic berries on the table to be put into the dinner and had to switch them out. Of course, I never told her, she seemed to like feeling as if she was doing something useful. Sure it was irritating and annoying and aggravating, but I also enjoyed seeing her smile.
Now it still wasn’t fair. I couldn’t live a normal life. I had to be around for his sister all the time. But sometimes her smile made it just a little bit better.

The Crooked Crown

Kiranta pushed the sharp knife away from his sister’s paws with his tail as she search the counter for her bowl of dinner. She finally grasped the bowl and sat near him. Neither spoke a word to each other as they ate and Kiranta looked out through the trees. He sighed and Asha sunk away a bit, knowing that he wanted desperately to go out with the girl he had met earlier today.
“You should go.” Asha spoke softly, feeling terrible for being the one holding her brother back from enjoying his life, “I will be fine for a night.”
“Really? You mean it?” Kiranta couldn’t hide the excitement in his voice and Asha had to struggle not to show the stab of pain it caused her.
“Yes. Go.” Asha said and Kiranta jumped up, putting his bowl on the counter and rushing out.
Asha remained sitting where she was, slumped over slightly, upset to hear just how much she had trapped him. She stood to put their bowls away and started on the trip to the river to wash the dishes.

It wasn’t until morning that Kiranta returned, “Asha! I am back!”
Silence greeted him and he looked around, wondering if his sister was sulking somewhere because of last night. He search the whole den but his sister was nowhere to be found. He rushed to the cave entrance and cried as loud as he could, “ASHA.”
Nothing. Kiranta could feel his heart sinking as he set out to look for her. He searched her favorite clearing, the places where she foraged, even her favorite perch next to the pond. No sign of her. It wasn’t until he was walking along the river that he saw her.
Image
She was laying half in the water, soaked and lifeless. Tears filled his eyes as he sank to the ground next to her.
“Asha? No… please Asha….” His tears fell as he tried to wake her but it was useless. She had been gone for a while now.
He held his sister and sobbed into her, all his defenses melting away and leaving an emotionally broken viscet. As the tears fell, he begged, “Please….. Not Asha….. She was too good….. Please….. Give her back. Don’t take her….. I will do anything….. Just not Asha…..”
A viscet heard his cries and peered at him through the shadows of the trees, “Anything, you say?” Kiranta looked up shocked as the voice spoke and a viscet stepped out of the woods. He bowed his head a bit at the heartbroken boy. “Now tell me child. To save this dear poor soul. What would you do? Give up your own?”
Kiranta looked down at Asha and nodded, “It’s my fault she is gone anyways. I am the one that deserves it. Not her.”
The viscet tilted his head, “But she is broken. Perhaps she is better off where she is now.”
Kiranta snarled, “She isn’t broken. Yes she was blind but she was a better viscet than anyone else I know. Yes she couldn’t see but that made her kinder than ever as she never cared what you looked like or what you were! She helped everyone equally.” Kiranta felt his anger filling him and the stranger smiled.
“So. Your soul for hers?”
Kiranta nodded.
Asha suddenly stirred in his arms and he looked at her shocked, “Asha?”
“Kiranta?” Asha opened her eyes and touched her brother’s arm, “What happened?”
“You died…. You died Asha….. But I saved you…” Kiranta began crying again.
“You silly boy….. That was a foolish thing of you to do.” Asha scolded weakly and Kiranta had to laugh a little. His sister’s first thing to do was scold him for saving her. She truly was back.
He looked up at the stranger who was leaning back against a tree, “Ready for your part of the deal, boy?”
Kiranta suddenly felt afraid and held Asha tightly, “Please. I need to take care of her though.”
The stranger shrugged, “You will be able to. I’m not that heartless. You will be able to return to her each day to help care for her. However, during the night, you will work for me.”
“Work?” Kiranta helped Asha stand and the stranger nodded.
“Oh. Excuse me. I never introduced myself. Im Hades.” The viscet reached out his paw to the boy, “Congrats boy. You now work for the god of death.”

A Dept Repaid

Kiranta worked well under Hades, his hot temper and cold manner made it easy for him to deal with the constant death around him. He worked as one of the angels of death that Hades had. Although Kiranta was fast becoming Hades’ favorite. Kiranta’s job was to gather the stray souls that lingered on earth and bring them back for their judgement. While Kiranta was good at the work, he didn’t particularly enjoy it. Chasing after weeping souls and fighting ones who were determined to remain wasn’t what he considered he would be doing with his life. However he didn’t regret his decision, for every morning he would return to Asha and see her, living as normally as she could. He liked to think he was repaying his debt to her, for being self-centered and not seeing how unselfish she was with everything, including her own life.

My Dark Friend

Kiranta growled in frustration as he walked out of the depths of the underworld into a forest, on his way back to his den with his sister waiting inside. He was tired and feeling worse then he had in a long time. The work that Hades had been requesting has been tougher than normal and has taken a toll even on his dark soul. He had been in charge of collecting souls from a group of children that had unfortunately run into one of Hades demons that had escaped from the underworld. He never knew that collecting souls could cause his heart and body so much pain and anguish.

As he walked along a well worn path in the woods he stopped as he heard an animal calling and screaming out in pain somewhere in the woods near him. He couldn’t take it, after all of the pained souls that he had been dealing with lately, he could not stand to hear anything else suffering. He ran towards the sound, as he got closer t the sound the louder the anguished scream got and the more concerned he got for the creature making the noise. Once he was almost upon the creature he slowed down and walked slowly up to where it was making sure there was nothing that was going to harm him. As he got closer he saw that it was something as black and dark as the night and completely entangled in a thick net.

Kiranta shook his head it was only a raven, nothing more. It had gotten entangled in a hunters net and could not free itself. He had gotten all worked up over a silly raven stuck in a net, what was wrong with him, had the job really been getting to him that much that he was getting concerned over silly birds in the forest. Kiranta shook his head once more and began to walk away from the loud bird on the ground but as we walked a ways away and the sound began to fade once more he looked back. He could still hear the bird struggling, smell its fear and hear its cries, he growled and walked back to the bird. He walked up to the terrified creature and sighed, what was he doing? He took one sharp claw and freed the raven from its death as the angel of death looked down on it.
Image

“ Go ahead fly, you are free to go where you want to once again.” Kiranta waited for the bird to do as he said but it simply stared at him now silent and tilted its head, its black feathers shining in the early morning light. “Come on go you are free to go now, why are you sitting here?” He was so confused by this bird, was it hurt, did it not understand it was free. He did not know what its problem was but he decided that now it was up to it to survive and turned to walk away. He all of a sudden felt sharp nails digging into his shoulder and black feathers at the edge of his vision. He turned toward to the raven now on his shoulder and smiled a true smile in a long time. “I guess this means you want to come along?” He asked the bird “Well ok then that's fine but I am warning you I have a sister and you have to be nice to her.” The raven bobbed his head in what Kiranta took as understanding. “ Well you are going to need a name.” He thought for a few minutes as he walked on the path back home, then stopped in his tracks and smiled once again. “ I got it I will call you Nisha since it meaning is night and your feathers are as black as night but just as beautiful as the night as well.” He nodded to himself pleased with the name.

That night when Kiranta got back to the den he introduced Nisha to his sister Asha. As he told Asha the story of how he had found the bird and how it decided to join him instead of flying free his excitement grew and he felt like he himself was flying free for the first time since he had made his bargain with Hades. He felt as though he had an escape from his dark job full of death and a friend to confide in when things were tough between him and his sister. He felt a closeness to the bird that was similar to the closeness that he felt towards his sister. He felt as protective to the raven as he did to Asha and wanted to make sure that they both were taken care of at all times and where protected from harm at all times.

Relationships

Postby Stitch~ » Fri Jun 22, 2018 2:46 pm

Image

Gray
Image
Gray and Kiranta have a strained relationship and it is mostly due to Kiranta being a jerk to Gray. Kiranta tends to pick on Gray for being much more sensitive than himself. He thinks that Gray is to sensitive and needs to toughen up some more. Gray however does not like what Gray says to him and can only take so much of him being a jerk, so when he has had enough of Gray he simply freezes the tip of his tail with solid ice with his ice powers and happily walks away to the now growling and very irritated Kiranta.

Prairie
Image
Kiranta loves to hears the stories from Prairie about his travels. He tends to live through the older males tales about the great things he sees and the amazing new Viscets that he meets. He hopes that one day he will be able to travel the world like he does without having to worry about his sister or his job for Hades. He also is friends with Prairies children but he tends to have a argumentative relationship with his son Fletcher.

Fletcher
Image
Fletcher and Kiranta have a bad relationship, the two are always in an argument and tend to always be mad at one another about something. It is not clear what started the initial fights between the two males but most of their conversations now are filled with growls and cold shoulders. Their other friends and family try to get the two to at least get along but so far nothing has happened, the only thing that will make sure that the two won'e be arguing is to keep them away from each other completely or out of each others ear shot.

Minato
Image
Minato is the fatherly figure in Kirantas life. Since his sister and himself grew up with no parents Minato was able to fill that role a little bit. Minato wasn't always around but when he was he helped Kiranta with his sister and some of the things he struggled with her. He helped him come up with different ideas to help her and to make his life a bit easier. Minato also was their after Asha has died and been brought back to life, he had tried to help get kiranta out of the contract with Hades but could not find anyway out.

Nani
Image
Nani's gentle soul reminds Kiranta of his sister than he tends to act in a similar way to her as he does to his sister. He can be over protective of her because of this. He gets into arguments with her about what she can and can not do all the time and it drives Nani crazy that he tries to control what she does. Although he is like an irritating big over protective brother she still cares for him deeply and knows how hard everything is for him at times and how much he struggles with being good.

Dahlia
Image
Kiranta and Dahila's relationship is interesting. Kiranta has a large crush on Dahlia but tries his very best to keep it contained and hidden from everyone, especially Dahlia. He is drawn to her not just because of her beauty but also because of the light and joy that she brings forth in him that no one else has the ability to do so. His sister Asha has the ability to balance him completely in every way but Dahlia can give him the ability to feel the light and good that everyone else does. Dahlia on the other had is not as interested in Kiranta as he is into her. It is definitely a strained friendship.
