Smoothstone watched as Littlepaw jumpped off the rock. He hoped he didn't do anything wrong. He pushed the thought away and streached before jumping down next to Littlepaw. Looking at her with a cock of his head he said, "Well, do you want to really go hunting now?" He said with playfulness in his voice, amusment and energy flickered in his blue eyes. The sun was almost up. So they really did need to go hunting, they coulden't just come back empty-pawed.

Littlepaw smiled and nodded, "I guess we should probably bring something back." She laughed. Littlepaw sniffed at the air and couldn't pick much up except for the smell of Smoothstone on her pelt.

Smoothstone gave a small laugh and opened his jaw to let the scents flow over the roof of his jaw. "We've probely already scared away all the pray here, why don't we try a little further downstream." He suggested calmly. {Wb xp}

Littlepaw nodded and walked carefully next to Smoothstone down the bank of the small river, not wanting to accidentally slip and fall into the river again. She didn't want to have to be dried off again.

Smoothstone pricked his ears and motioned for Littlepaw to get down. He spotted the small brown creture scutteling along the leaves. With one mighty thrust of his hind paws he lept into the air and onto the small creture, killing it swiftly with a bite to the neck. He held his prey in his jaws and walked back over to Littlepaw

Littlepaw smirked, "Nice catch. Too bad it's just a mouse." She smiled, eyes glinting as she swept her tail over some leaves that had fallen near her rear end.

"Oh yeah?" He said playfully. "Lets see you do better." He smiled as he laid down in the fallen leaves. Wrapping his tail around his paws. His eyes caught a small movment by a shrub. He nodded his head towerds the bush, "There's your chance." He smiled as he looked up at Littlepaw.

Littlepaw angled her eyes at the bush and narrowed her eyes. She slunk down in the long grass and slowly moved forward. Her eyes flickered towards the rock and she jumped out onto it. The jump made the grass shake and the small creature was alerted. It jumped through the bush and started running. She crouched and leaped with strong legs, landing right behind it. She was straight on it's tail and getting closer to the borders as well. Littlepaw started to grow tired but refused to give up, specially after Smoothstone's challenge. Her muscles were screaming loud for her to stop but she was stronger. She snapped at it but it jumped to the side and she quickly followed after it. She could smell the borders and growled, hoping to catch it before crossing over. Littlepaw was panting and she glanced around. She jumped and clung to a tree, then pushed off and landed square in front of it. She discovered it to be a mouse and quickly lurched down and cracked it's neck. As she picked up the mouse she realized she could no longer smell the border.

"Whoa" Smoothstone gasped as Littlepaw burst off after the small mouse, her speed working in shift with her mussels, she looked so graceful... Smoothstone started to drift into thought when he relized that he could no longer see or hear the young she-cat. " Littlepaw!" he called as her started to race in her direction," Wait for me!" Following her scent trail, he noticed she got extremely close to the border. Oh Starclan don't tell me she ran over it! Of course, she had. Probely without even knowing it, "Littlepaw!" he called over the border.

Littlepaw was too focused on sniffing the air and trying to figure out where she was. She distantly heard her name and yelled, "Come on! We can get prey over here! I don't smell any patrols!" She dropped her mouse and started going deeper in.
