It varies, Don't really have a set tone.

I love it, forbidden romance is really fun to write about. Its a bit underused, There should be more forbidden loves lol. I have a TwigHeart and ThistleFang, also my only forbidden couple (in my clan).

Yes to both . BramblingPaw does some bad things, like really bad things. ThriftRunner becomes really sad.

Oh my gosh. So for those of you who've been getting my periodic updates on the status of Oakheart the traitor, ya'll know that I just wrapped up a major plot in which a certain killer attempted to take over the clan by literally killing off support. Now, there's a brief lull of grief and kinda-happiness but I'm going to move onto another source of death and destruction pretty soon.

How do you write your clan posts? What is the tone of your writing? Ex: is it serious? Joyful? Morbid? Formal? Informal? Pessimistic?
*shrugs* I don't really know how I'd pin my tone.

I think that FRs can be played well if you don't use it just as a method for more kits or if that was your original intention, then to at least build up the relationship as well. Rebellions and coups can also be good (see above plot point) but there needs to be a reason behind it.

Yup! It involves one of the three main causes of death in Forestclan and FRs. Also, Applestar will literally lose a life from a heart attack.

hAH, i can list a few plot ideas right now ,,

i.) plumshade is planning to murder wiltedstar so she can take over graveclan and make drastic, horrid changes (i.e., assigned mates, controlled prey consumption, controlled kit births, exiling quite a few cats, etc.). she's pregnant, also, with heavypad's kits; she practically hates him, but she's going to try and coerce him into killing wiltedstar for her so she doesn't have to do her own dirty work ;u; but i'm not revealing any more than that; whether or not she succeeds will remain unknown, but if you've been keeping up with my posts you might have a teeny tiny idea of what might happen :">
ii.) wiltedstar is totally not fawning over geckosplash, who is definitely not ogling him, as well. nope
iii.) uhh hh sneak peek into the post that i haven't written yet, but expect hornetpaw to make fun of sorrelpaw bc he's so much older and isn't a warrior yet. poor bby. he's trying his best.

uhhhh, i try to write for a few of my cats in each post, so it changes depending on who i'm writing for; wiltedstar is curt and cold, chamomilewhisker is proper and mature, barleystep is happy-go-lucky, plumshade is ambitious. it depends!

rebellionrebellionrebellionrebellion y e s, i don't think it's overused, but i'm writing my own now, and it's really hard to come up with a plot for that's not repetitive of other clans. forbidden romance can be overused, but it depends on why you're having the fb romance; if it's just for kits, it doesn't really fit in with the storyline, but if it's a great mateship and the cats are rlly compatible, i love it ;">

i love ,,, ,s omuch , ,, i literally spend my entire day refreshing my bookmarks page waiting for my replies. it's something i enjoy a lot, and i soon hope to have an additional writing thread to write little things about my cats. :">

@the question about how long it takes to write my posts;; uhhhh an hour, usually. if i have to do something, it might be a few days before i can get back to writing it, but an hour and a half is probably a decent time estimate.

Well currently there are three subplots in Clayclan, one which is going to be running for much longer than the other two. There’s the question of who will end up deputy as Resinstar is an indesicive baby, a subplot revolving around Driftstep being on the run from a rouge group that Crocusgaze was supposedly a part of, and of course, the main plot revolving around the question of why each clayclan cat is haunted by a similar Beechclan cat. Why aren’t these dead cats in starclan? What caused their deaths? Will the same fate befall Clayclan?

Despite the kind of grim plot line I swear Clayclan is supposed to be largely fluffy with underlying spooky and atmospheric tones.

As much as I adore forbidden romances (and I have a specific four with a special place in my heart) and I feel that they can help build plots and characterization in a way few other interactions can, I do feel that they are a tad overused. It could just be the fact that I have a relatively small clan but I feel like if a high percentage of cats have out of clan relations it ruins the drama of it all. That being said back in Beechclan I had 4 lovely forbidden romances. There was one between Asptail by medicine cat and Cinderblaze of Soulclan which had a lot of impact on Asptail and his family, another between asptail’s anxious sister Barkknot and an evil tom named Tanglestep from Aspenclan with lots of dramatic potential, the purest lesbians Momomoon and cranky Honeyfur, and finally Webwing and Smoothpetal which was planned to cause a load of angst with it’s love triangle.

As an original member from BF (before fanclub) when we roleplayed our gatherings on the main thread, I’m definitely invested in both the community and the concept. I love the events where we try to win cats and I really really want to bring back the hungergames to win cats a herbs/food, even though it would be hard to do with such a large group now.

How long does it usually take you to write a post?
Usually it shouldn't take more than a week at most for me to get a post up. But these days, my muse has abandoned me ^^'

It used to be about how self-proclaimed "warrior code fanatic" Stormfang tried to attempt a coup against Leafstar when greencough struck the Clan. It all stemmed from the fact that Brightstream, SeaClan's first deputy, had fallen in love with a warrior of another Clan, Vinescratch of SkyClan. When SkyClan disbanded, SeaClan took him in, annoying Stormfang further, and finally he nearly killed Vinescratch, sending him running to SwiftClan, injured heavily. Stormfang then murdered Fogkit, who eavesdropped on his plans, and finally, Brightstream herself during a conveniently-placed prophecy-related war against the crows who had taken over the Pine Grove, their main source of non-fish prey.

Now, everything has settled down after the situation ended with Stormfang + followers' exile and Ravenwish's execution (he killed more than his boss Stormfang, being responsible for the deaths of a warrior, apprentice, queen, and kit, for a grand total of four cats), but there's trouble in SeaClan. Again. Leafstar is losing faith in StarClan, believing that his ancestors merely used him and the Clan to achieve "peace", not caring for how much casualties it may bring. His current deputy, Carrotfur (who is also Leafstar's son), is now tasked with the daunting task of "reigniting" the dying faith in his father.

Mine tends to be in third person, limited these days, dividing into a certain character's pov. There are times I just go in third person, ominiscient, though. My tone tends to be on the emotional side, people tell me. I like using words that invoke certain feelings, and I try to describe things as much as I can, given on level of muse.

Forbidden romances and rebellions are a little on the overused side on CaC, in my personal opinion. But most aren't very developed. The relationship between Brightstream and Vinescratch, when Vine was in SkyClan, wasn't so much detailed on CaC proper, mostly just talking between me and SkyClan's owner, imp (when they had SkyClan, that is), but they were very committed to each other and loved and cared for each other deeply. Right now, Softdawn, a blind permaqueen, is mates with Adoniscloud of GustClan, and it's mostly done through the interactions between their children in Gatherings, as two (Gullpaw and Gannetpaw) reside in their father's Clan, while the other two (Boompaw and Jadepaw) reside with Softdawn and SeaClan. It's not as detailed as I'd like, but Chamrosh and I try to talk over things a lot soooo XD you'll see if we get any developments on these two (':

It’s currently revolved around Zhiquta learning more of her past and her lineage of great leaders. She discovered in my latest post that she is the daughter of Jaggedstar, founder and leader of my former clan, Duskclan. She is also related to Shadestar, leader of Sullenclan. She will delve deeper into her past to find more about her roots while growing her own deep in the Zila Excidium clan.

it often revolves around the mood of that post! i usually write it to fit the emotion.

Overused. I feel like I would like them more if they were more developed but I still do like to participate in the odd forbidden romance.

Uh well... Emberstorm has some alliance thing going on involving other cats... It's meant to case some kinda fight but I don't feel like killing anyone off :,3 Although I've thought of one death and something else if things go the way I want it...

I try to be serious sometimes but I'm not very good at writing. And other times it's more playful and things. So I don't know really ;w;
