The movie seems good, is there any other information on it? I don't think it would be completely faithful to the books and some things may be left out, but it should be fun.

I'm sort of indifferent to the movie, it would finally solve the design
confusions (like Scourge's collar, Dovewing's eye color, Squirrelflight's entire design in general,
etc.) but like what a few other people have said, unless they're going a make a movie for each
book, which is extremely unlikely, many things are going to be taken out.

For an example I imagine Spottedleaf and Firepaw's "relationship" will probably be
removed entirely because of the questionable things it would imply,
it technically doesn't further the plot, and that newcomers who
have never read the series probably wont know whether Fireheart still
wants to be with her or has completely moved on to Sandstorm. (And honestly
that's something even the fandom was somewhat confused about in the first arch.)

I’m reading Tigerheart’s Shadow and just. . . I can’t do it. I hate that book so much. It takes me tops four days to get through a Warrior book, but it’s almost been two weeks now. I don’t like journey books, so it took me a while to get to the guardian cats part. I don’t mind them, but every chapter just seems to be repeating the same thing over and over. Plus I hate the whole “you need to be like a Clan” angle. I would like to have seen Tigerheart learn a lesson that being kind and healing (something that these cats shove down your throat is that they heal) can sometimes be more effective than fighting. But so far it seems that Tigerheart must show these cats that being a Clan (instead of themselves) and fighting will work. I haven’t finished it, so maybe something changes. I certainly hope so. Also, Shadowkit? I thought you weren’t supposed to name kits after the Clans. Maybe I was wrong? I took a little hiatus from the series.

Also I hate the name Twigbranch. What even.

But I do like her relationship with Finpaw. Finpaw is so pure all on his own anyways <3

Plus Tree is my dude. I just imagine him being all chill and nonchalant about everything.

And that scene where Fernsong offered to take care of the kits warmed my heart. I think it’s good that Warriors is showing apprection for stay-at-home or single fathers. Even if they aren’t doing that on purpose, it’s still a nice new angle.

Also Fuzzball!!! I want to snuggle him he is so pure

Sorry for the huge post. I just got back into Warriors and I have so much to talk about!

I mean, there was things it did pretty well. I liked that Tigerheart had to help the guardian cats so he could learn how to be an effective leader (even though Tawnypelt deserves it way more, in my personal opinion). I also loved Spire and Blaze. The book also did a good job portraying DovexTiger, even if they argued a lot, and bless their lil kits <3

It just isn’t something I’m willing to read through again. For me, the faults far outweighed the good.

i love the worldbuilding in tigerheart's shadow, but i hate tigerheart and dovewing. the book had a lot of good characters otherwise. i didn't like tigerheart becoming leader; tawnypelt is such a better choice!

Agreed. They asked Tawnypelt if she would be willing to lead ShadowClan, and then crushed all my hope when Tigerheart came back. Ugh. She deserves it so much

I haven't read Tigerheart's Shadow since despite how much I hear
about how interesting the new cats are I honestly can't handle his and especially Dovewing's
character for a whole book. I wasn't even aware Tawnypelt could've been leader; aughh,
that bothers me, she's one of my favorite characters.

The whole Shadowkit thing is really weird to me as well, as far as I know the prefix
Shadow technically isn't banned canonically, I think it's more of a rule the fans
unanimously made up, but I feel there's good reason for why. Correct me if I'm
wrong though.

I haven't read the book myself, but I have seen a gist of what the book is about. Hearing that Tigerheart became leader made me roll my eyes. Why do the Erins keep trying to make "Tigerstar except he's actually good" characters? We had Brambleclaw/star and he was good. But then they tried doing it with Lionblaze and now Tigerheart. The Erins need to let Tigerstar go; we get it, he was evil. But we're tired of hearing about him.

I mean, I don’t think it was ever an actual rule. We had Runningwind in the first book. But I just feel it’s odd. I also have the same problem the prefix/suffix “moon”. I can’t even really describe it, I guess I just feel like it’s disrespectful? I don’t know. It just never really sat well with me for some reason.

Yep, and now we have Lightkit to carry on the tradition as she looks like Tigerheart. Brambleclaw was a good character. He had to deal with being judged and overcome it. He had to prove that he wasn’t his father, and I liked it. We also had Hawkfrost, an almost Tigerstar clone, who did turn out to be evil, so we had a contrast between a cat who went down the same path as his father and one who overcame it. But I agree so much with letting Tigerstar go. We’ve already heard “is another Tigerstar gonna be good?” in the books.
