on the eve of the outbreak, cateyln was a wide-eyed dreamer fresh out of grad school. none would have expected the econ nerd from new york to make it past the first week, but in the chaos she was forced to adapt, and adapt she did. she knows nothing of her family back home, and knows she probably won’t anytime soon, but she doesn’t like to talk about that. she’s quite a private person and cautious of becoming vulnerable. maybe it comes off as mysterious, or maybe its just her paranoia. in any case, she’s singularly focused on survival. she’s a quick learner-- became a pretty sharp shooter though she’s always had an aversion to guns-- and quick on her feet, too. she’s the one to call for supply runs; she can get in and out without a sound. with a subtle confidence and a strong grounding in her values, cat isn’t one to back down easily. still, she knows when to compromise. she's always honest with herself and with others, which tends to come off as a bit crass.
