Recently, I've noticed that both of them are about equal in terms of being able to trade them off. However, I've noticed a lot more trades for the UR Apple in comparison to the UR Purple.

The purple horse either goes for fair trade or underpay (up to a mid September less then a fair price) - although mostly underpay. It depends on the people you trade with, however. ^^ I would encourage you (if you were trying to trade it off) to take a bit more time when trading the horse to ensure you get a fair price!
