first of all ,, hi to all the new people and not so new people.

second of all i wrote out some poems for a school project if anyone wants to read em. there are five total and are about generalized anxiety ,, ocd ,, ptsd ,, social anxiety ,, and panic disorder.

Those are really cool! They're relatable, and feel like a handy, succinct way of explaining how each of the disorders feels, and the toll they take. Good luck with them at school!

I'm disappointed in myself. All I've been able to write is replies to role-plays, whilst my projects are sitting on my laptop just... gathering dust. I want to be productive, but motivation is so fickle. Do any of you have advice for this?

I'm going through the same. Break away from your main project, try finding writing prompts online and just play with them a little bit, find your writing style again. Then go back to your main. x

I'm disappointed in myself. All I've been able to write is replies to role-plays, whilst my projects are sitting on my laptop just... gathering dust. I want to be productive, but motivation is so fickle. Do any of you have advice for this?

It's okay if you can't write for a while. I used to get this way with art, so what I'd do is just draw when I wanted to, and not force myself to draw. Eventually, I'd get back into it and start drawing frequently again and I was able to work on my projects.

Maybe you just need a break. Try writing when you want to, and doing calming things/letting your mind rest when you don't. If you feel the need to be productive, try cleaning or rearranging something. Do something besides writing that will still keep you preoccupied and leave you feeling satisfied with yourself. Give it a week or wait until you feel motivated again. And just remember that you'll end up happier with work that you enjoyed writing than something you forced yourself to write.
