I almost gave you a litten, because my brain only read the fire part of the "Would you like a fire type, grass type, or water type"

Red just takes the starter. "Uhh, hi." He says to the Rowlet. He decides to nickname it Minty.

By the way, just a question, can you nickname your Pokémon like in the game? If you can, then im nicknaming it Minty.

A little girl answers the door. Seeing the pokeballs your waist, she yells "Daddy! Someone's here with your pokeballs!" and runs away.

A gruff looking man comes around the corner wearing a girly apron. Seeing you, he says, "I take it Nurse Joy sent you? Great. Come inside, I've got to finish making lunch and then I'll give you your reward." and then turns around to go back to whatever he was cooking.

Erin pushed her glasses up, nervously opening the pokeball that
contained the Piplup. She opened the pokeball anxiously, fumbling
with the button on the front. As the pokeball opened the new trainer
smiled. From the front a light appeared, forming into the shape of
a Piplup. The little pokemon yawned. "I'm Erin, nice to meet you Piplup,"
she said nervously. The Penguin pokemon gave her a look, studying
her like a book. "Pip." he said cautiously, giving her another glance.
Then the pokemon blinked doubtfully at her. Erin stretched her smile.
The Piplup jumped up and started to walk towards the closed door.
Erin reluctantly followed. "Shouldn't I be the one taking you places?"
The girl asked. She had expected together to know the penguin
pokemon first, (who was now sitting impatiently by the door) but
it seemed that this pokemon had been waiting to go on an adventure
already, but first it wanted something else. "Pip Pip." The pokemon
insisted. Erin nodded. "So before we go outside you want a nickname?"
The penguin pokemon nodded, knocking over a bottle of Fresh Water
off a table by using Pound on the table leg. "Emperor?" He shook
his head. "Aqua?" In frustration, the Piplup pretended to pour
water onto the floor, before making swishing movements with his
flippers. "River?" Erin thought hard. "Avon!" Her new pokemon partner
Avon clapped in delight. With that issue sorted, she opened the door
to the world outside where new adventures were on the breeze.
