Once he was alone, he let his shoulders relax as he hung his head a bit. It was frustrating to know a cougar had killed a packmate and he hadn't been able to save them. It made him feel like a failure and he couldn't help but doubt himself a bit. His brother had always been his father's favorite so he had received the training to lead instead of him. He had managed to eavesdrop on a few lessons as a pup but he still felt inadequate at times. Giving his head a furious shake, he let out a soft growl.

"Jumping back at the snap, he shook his head at her. "No. I am not going to hurt your or leave you alone. You are badly injured. I can't let an injured and pregnant female leave with a good conscious. Look, my pack will help you heal back up. If you still want to leave after you are better, I won't stop you. We will let you leave with no problems." He hoped that would work as there was no way she could survive on her own.

Slowly heading towards the rabbit, she watched it intently. She couldn't let it get away as the pack was hungry. It wasn't much but it would help a little. As she drew nearer, she saw its ear twitch before it tensed up. The rabbit lifted his head and she knew it sensed her. Taking off, she ran at it as it tried to dart away. Its paws didn't gain traction fast enough and she managed to grab it with her teeth. Growling, she gave a swift shake of her head and it went limp.

Ivy stood up, she saw Ruby standing in front of her.
Leave now! Ruby growled.
or what? You think you can make me? Ivy snarled.
lets take this somewhere more privet Ruby growled.
scared your packmates will see your true colours? Ivy mocked following Ruby to behind one of the dens where sound wouldn’t travel to the others.
I hate, hate, hate you Ruby snarled.
Ivy rolled her eyes and flicked her tail dismissively, Ruby jumped at her but Storm came out of nowhere and got in front of Ivy, then Ruby collided with Storm her mouth still open, Ruby’s teeth barely connected with Storm’s neck before Ivy grabbed Ruby in her jaws, Ruby struggled but Ivy was stronger, she dragged her to the canyon.
You nearly killed Storm... but you won’t be so lucky the word Lucky nearly stuck in Ivy’s throat but Ivy had never cared for either of her sisters.
what are you doing? Ruby squeaked but it was too late, Ivy had dropped her into the canyon, her screams were cut off abruptly.
Ivy sighed, she had lost both sisters now but she felt strangely at peace, she came to a large puddle and washed her sister’s scent off her pelt and instructed Storm to do the same, they then returned to camp and Ivy lay down again, she had left unnoticed but wondered what would happen when they discovered Ruby’s death.

Akira sat down with the other guards and waited patiently for the meeting to start. They needed to come up with a plan, stat. She sighed and her ears lay flat against her head as she thought of Jabari's shock to Akira letting Ivy stay in camp. She didn't want to either, but she couldn't bear to risk the pup getting attacked by the cougar if it was still out there. She steeled her nerves and called over to Jabari, "Hey Jabari! All the guards are having a meeting about how to ramp up pack security if you'd like to join us."

Ari watched from the den and let out a yawn. As he rested on his side his ears perked up at a sudden noise. He was instructed by the adults to stay within the den, but he wanted to know what the noise was. Although the pup wasn't curious in nature, he decided to check it out. His ears swiveled to where the noise originated from and he leaped to his paws, slowly walking towards it. He deducted that there was something in the underbrush. Certainly nothing big, for that would've made more noise. The pup stuck his nose close to the ground and took in a deep breath, analyzing all of the different smells. Suddenly, he caught the sweet aroma of mouse. Quickly, he jumped into the hunting crouch and carefully calculated his pounce.

"I..." Scarlet hesitated. She turned her good eye to gaze at the border before looking back at Thorn. Her anger seemed to have evaporated, but her obvious fear did not. "But I'm not from your pack! Why would you even think of helping me, if I bought a cougar into your territory? I mean, are you that desperate for pack members? My pack never..."

Scarlet instantly bit back her lip. Her pack was gone. What was there to brag about them? Despite her weak condition, she had obviously not lost her judgemental knack. Being the daughter of an Alpha gave her much superiority over underlings like hunters, guards, and scouts. An insult she threw was usually out of good humor. But with her being in unfamiliar territory, this was the last place for some of her good humor. Despite Thorn's offer, the Scout could very easily tear her in half. Had their roles been switched, Scarlet would have already done such an action.

But their roles weren't switched. Right now, Scarlet was a weak and needy coyotess. She was pregnant, with no business being outside a cozy and safe den. Yet here she stood, bleeding and silently begging in unfamiliar territory. Her life depended on Thorn's offer, and her ability to swallow her excessive pride.

"Well..." Scarlet sighed, her ears drooping and her body slouching. "I'm afraid I don't have to much of a choice. Lead on, Scout."

**NOTE:** I think it would be a good idea for Scarlet to have more than one pup, and 2-4 would be good. But I don't really feel like playing 4 new ocs at a time. If someone would like to play one of Scarlet's pups, feel free to simply post a form for them. It's preferable if the pup's pelt had either black markings or a red tinge, as those are the colors of Scarlet and her former mate. If no one wants to play the pups, I'll just have Scarlet have one daughter.

Personality: Eve comes into the world a jolly pup, and a complete ray of sunshine. She will be a playful, fiery spirit, unknowing of what this world holds for her. She will be aspiring, much like Scarlet when she was younger, and look towards the future with bright and hopeful eyes.

But beneath all that fluffy hope and happy love, an unfillable hole remains in Eve's heart. She knows she is not of Sagebrush Pack blood, and that she never will be. The future of what could have been in the Thundering River Clan continues to haunt her: the alpha she could have been, the mate and pups she would have had, the life she would have lived. None of that would happen now.

Nevertheless, Eve still loves Sagebrush pack as much as she wishes she were in the Thundering River Clan. Sagebrush pack is her home, and her family.
