Biography: Mike’s mother died during childbirth, leaving his father to raise him alone. Mike’s father writes terrible historical fiction novels, barely bringing home enough cash for the two of them to live on. Mike loves his father, despite their less-than-perfect living situation, and tries to help out by selling some of his paintings. He volunteers at the local library on weekends.
