starting the trial

"thank you all for coming out to this trial. this is the trial of aren and cecilia who both are charged with treason to the crown. we will start off with an opening argument from both sides then followed by questioning and presenting evidence," erin started off. you knew it will be a long day with just that statement. "can the prosecutor start with the opening argument?"

the prosecutor naomi stood up and faced the jury. she cleared her throat before starting, "aren asked one of the witnesses loki to give her a potion that would allow her to escape easily. however, she stopped by cecilia's shop and convinced cecilia to run away with her. aren and cecilia both planned and attempted to escape together. both being caught near the market place.

aren and cecilia realized what they both did was treason to the crown; however, they still went through with their actions. i will present you jury members with evidence that will provide you with irrefutable evidence. each witness will provide the evidence of it all." naomi walked back to her seat as erin gave the trial attorney sharkbait to make her opening argument.

she walked over to where you were seated with the jury. she started it hesitantly, "aren and cecilia both planned to escape together when they fell in love. they acted out of love toward each other. would you do the same if you were in there shoes? they just wanted to be together. you would of too in their situations." sharkbait returned to her seat, next to cecilia and aren.

after that, erin said, "_______ will be starting." who will start first?

aether approached the stand and took the oath. "did everything in that tape was scripted or not? were you forced to do this?"

aether soon answered, "it wasn't scripted at all. it wasn't forced, and i did it to help with this case." the audio tape played provided evidence of the planning and aether was dismissed.

questioning boris

boris approached the stand and took the oath. "when did you first become aware of the situation?" naomi asked.

"i was informed by the potion maker loki and my general. i didn't believe it but kept it in the back of my mind," boris answered.

"what was the confrontation like?"

"i confronted her, but she refused to answer questions. when i asked her about the plan, she stopped doing what she was and yelled at me. she threw threats and even imprisoning me. nothing else happened after that," boris answered. "she cruelly answered questions after i asked any questions."

"explain what happened during the chase," naomi stated.

"i was alerted of when she left without altering anyone. i was worried about everything and mounted my horse quickly. racing through the streets, i was alerted to look for her. the crowd parted as who i thought were thieves and faced after them. it was hard to weave thoroughbred crowd with a few guards behind me. as i tackled them both to the ground, i realized it was aren and cecilia. we had them arrested shortly afterwards," boris answered. he was then dismissed after that.

questioning loki

loki approached the stand and took the path when asked. naomi approached the stand and asked him, "how many encounters did you have with aren?"

"just two," loki replied.

"can you tell us the main one, the one involving the potion?"

"she bumped into me on the street causing me to fall on to one of my pack members, most fragile one and the oldest. the poor elderly member had his legs broken on impact, lucky nothing else happened, and she just looked down at us with nothing to say besides, 'are you the potion maker?'

"yes but i'm not open to brewing potions right now," answered then got up and picked up my pack member to head to the vet.

she stopped me in my tracks by yanking on my tail and yelling at me, 'you better brew me a potion to change my appearance. i need to sneak into somewhere to run off with someone.'
'what are you talking about? i brew no such potions,' i confusedly replied. 'i don't even have the ingredients for it.'

i was walking away when she slipped one final detail. 'it will be treason to the crown of you fail to do as i demand because i am a princess of a bordering nation,' she threatened. now, i had to do it because of her title and royal blood. i had to take my pack member to the vet later because of her!

she trailed behind me and outside of my pack who was around me. it was annoying to have someone so heartless like her following behind me. as soon as we got to my potion shop, she rushed in and made herself at home then started to pester and demand me to make the potion even through i couldn't make it. 'how about an invisibility potion instead?' i asked.

she glared at me and i could just see her saying that it would treason to the crown before her evening saying anything, 'that will be treason to the crowd.' i also knew that it if they are caught then i'll be imprisoned for helping her, so i made a mental note to tell the kingdom about what happened later.

openning up my potion book to the page on disguise potions, i followed it as much as possible until i couldn't get any more of the ingredients. i waited a bit before i added something to make it the disguise of the first kalon she sees after drink the potion, aka she'll end up being me. i have it to her then she threw a gold coin at me in a rude manner. she chugged the drink then it started to put a "cloak" around her, meaning that it would be a hologram around her that hides her appearance, and shifted her into me. 'have a nice day,' i mumbled. she walked out of the shop as soon as i contacted the bordering kingdom. they asked for proof of it and i sent over the recording i took through my security cameras. they then said that they needed more proof than me and what she plans on using it for."

naomi turn her attention to the jury before saying, "to prove what loki said was right, here's video evidence of this encounter." a video started to play in front of you and was exactly what loki said had happened. she the n asked loki a final question, "explain the last one."

"i glanced out of my window while getting some water. i took a slip then about spit it out in shock when i saw her and cecilia running away from guards on horseback trying to get them. i watched as aren's escort gallop up to them as the crowd split to let him and his horses through. it was brought up to cut them off and he slid off of the saddle and tackled them both to the ground," loki answered.

"as you heard, they both tried to run away but failed," naomi said. "multiple kalons in that area in the time and witness say that they saw the event happen."

"loki, you are dismissed, " erin said. loki exited the stand and went back to his seat.

questioning nabirye

nabirye came up to the stand with grace and took the oath. "how home life was for her, and how is she behind closed doors?"

"she was given the best upbringing that anyone could have. spoiled from a young age for her beauty, she was given lavish gifts from our parents. she barely had to lift a finger for anything. she'll never be someone who will care for others due to being spoiled, " she answered. "she cruelly ordered servants around. she laughs at cruel things a d refused to do anything to help out kingdom. she will do anything to please herself without caring for others including the kingdom."

"what did this do to your kingdom?" naomi asked.

"aren's action made a scar on my kingdom that will never heal. she made the kingdom question my family if senses just like her. many are refusing to pay taxes unless we show them what goes on in the castle and it's under constant watch. the kingdom is being divided because of her," she answered.

"as you heard, aren is one to use others for her own gain without caring for others," naomi stated. nabirye was then dismissed after that.

questioning aren and cecilia

"before i am done with this, i'll like to question both aren and cecilia," naomi said. "aren, come to the stand." aren went up and took the oath. naomi then asked her, "do you disregard any of the previous stated facts about you and your role in the case from all witnesses?"

"everything is false and misleading claims about the case," aren lied. after

"lies more like you lied there, miss aren," naomi said. aren was soon dismissed after. "now, time for you, cecilia. please come to the stand."

cecilia went up and took the oath. "do you disregard any of the previous stated facts about you and your role in the case from all witnesses?"

"everything stated was fact. nothing was a lie," cecilia stated. her words were shaky.

"why did you do it?" naomi questioned.

"i was blinded by love for her and did whatever it would take. that means i did anything just to be with her. however, today i have no such feelings towards her anymore due to how she is," cecilia confessed.

naomi nodded and cecilia was dismissed.

averna walked up to the stand and took the oath. sharkbait soon asked, "how is cecilia around you?"

"she is one of the most sweetest kalon you'll ever be around. the classic goodie two shoes that would never harm a fly. i'm not going to hide the fact that she has flaws. cecilia would sometimes blindly agree to stuff blindly and lose herself with that blindness. when she is annoyed, she will lose her temper and that is just rare. she never lets things to be on her chestnut long and often confess things that are on her chest," she stated.

"did she know that she was a princess engaged to someone?" she questioned.

"no, not at all. she saw aren as this hooded kalon who was looking for fabric. she talked to her about it and fell in love without realizing that she was arranged to marry the prince of this kingdom. when they planned to run away together, cecilia told me that aren was running away with her so that they could move to a forested place. she didn't even realize it until the chase happened," she said.

"as you see, that cecilia did even know anything and would not do anything to harm another, " sharkbait said. "can you tell us what else she told you?"

"she told me the plan. she was to run away with aren into the forgotten desert. they would just live out there and not worry about anything," she replied. sharkbait looked stunned as she asked the wrong question.

aether approached stand and took the oath. "how is aren around you?"

"well, she's quite sweet and would do anything to please others. she will be like how nabirye described her, but that's rare, " aether said. sharkbait rolled her eues, not convincing when she did that.

"as you see, aren was one to be sweet and would hardly control someone," shark hair concluded. aether was soon dismissed.
