Marshall is a very ambitious scholar who is dedicated to his literature. He constantly pores over many texts that he's read too many times, always trying to find more meaning and then of course he goes and writes about it. He writes about a lot of things, and at this point, he can't stop himself. He is quite a serious person, although he is always curious for knowledge, sometimes his passive nature stops him from going too far with it. He does prefer less company and is definitely not great in crowds, at all. He is an easily stressed, easily worried mess but for very good reasons, or so he claims. He really doesn't like fighting or violence, and he will embarrassedly admit to his phobia of blood. Marshall does try his best, but he always prefers to be surrounded by the familiarity of his study.

Marshall doesn't know anything about where he came from, and honestly, he'd rather keep it that way. Left at the doorstep of his adoptive father and taken in he was given a great life, and someone to look up to. He always strived to be like his father and pushed himself to achieve his passion. The vast knowledge he read about, and then went on to write about, earned him recognition. Soon enough, despite his young age, he was in service to the king as a proper scholar.

the blind- aria ≛
marshall admires aria's determination and
is happy to share his knowledge with her.
however, he feels like sometimes he
disappoints her and he finds it very
intimidating. he'll then start stumbling
over his words awkwardly, which just
makes his nerves worse.

the bold- riona ≛
riona is one of the most imtimidating of
the sisters, but he can't really hate her.
despite her training for battle he knows
she doesn't have too much of a choice as
heir to the throne. he's decided to keep
his opinion on her neutral for now, as he
knows little about her.

marshall doesn't know how to handle her
and is wary of pushing her too far. he's
heard of her prank pulling and would prefer
not to experience it, and her
disappearing acts stress him out so
he's a little distant with her.

the smart- saoirse ★
marshall absolutely loves it whenever
she asks him questions about his work
or what he's reading. having someone
familiar with a lot of the texts he reads
and share his curiosity for knowledge is
wonderful. often when he's written something
new he'll share it with saoirse because he
values her opinion.

the beauty- sophia ★
marshall enjoys sophia's gentle nature in
contrast to her sisters. although he's a little
sad in her disinterest in reading he finds
her fascinating. she has a very comforting
presence and he can relate to her dislike
of violence.

the soldier- nicodemus ✪
marshall is not a fan of nico's aggressive
nature and actions. he is very cautious
around him and is scared of what he can
do. he at least appreciates nico's dedication
to his job, despite his own objections
towards the job itself.

the sailor- miren ✪
he's a pirate. he's potentially violent. and
he's a little too easygoing for marshall's
tastes. he doesn't see all that much to like
and trust about miren really. his presence
stresses him out.

the healer- tobias ★
one of the few people marshall is actually
calm around. he can ramble to tobias, who
will simply sit and listen and he appreciates
the company when they both need a break
from their jobs. their passive natures
mean no conflict between the two.

the hunter- rayne ≛
marshall isn't too sure about rayne,
he's a bit of a mystery and he seem
to favour the outdoors. he will admit
he's a little curious about the guy but
probably wouldn't approach him
unprompted.

That fateful day, Morgan Craft had just come in from sea after a successful business
trip to distant shores. While taking inventory of his imported goods as they were unloaded,
he noticed a sound coming from somewhere nearby. It was the crying of a child, a baby
calling for its parents. Investigating the sound, the man came across the young boy he
would come to name Miren in a finely woven basket. In that basket was a letter, likely
from his true parents, that requested that whoever should find the child should raise
him as their own. He was special, they wrote, a child born of the sea. Morgan had lost
his wife the year before, and they had so wanted a child to brighten their lives before
her untimely passing. Afterwards, the man had given up hope of having his own family,
but here now was his chance to raise a son to follow in his footsteps. He would not pass
up such a golden opportunity.

As time passed, it became quite apparent that young Miren was well-suited to life out
at sea. He needed to be, for his father spent most of his time sailing to distant shores
for business. As there was no other family to care for him, Miren was bound to be taken
along on these trips. However, business soon began to falter, more competition arising
than Morgan had been prepared to face. One fateful mistake would spell the end of the
Craft's previously booming business. Morgan still needed to sell their recently imported
items, but they had received an apparent boon in the form of a deal that would set the
business above the competition. He was all too swift to take this chance, and it would
cost him dearly. Miren went out with the crew, his adopted father staying behind to
deal with their imports directly. The pirates that descended were swift and merciless,
taking only a few men prisoner and disposing of the rest. Of those prisoners, only
Miren would avoid the fate of walking the plank.

Perhaps it would have been easier had Miren met the same fate as the other prisoners, for the captain of the ship that served
as his new home was cruel and unkind. The young boy, now young man, was to receive the brunt of this in the place of the crew
that did before he arrived. Still, the question of why he was spared remained in the minds of the pirates, though the captain
soon provided this. It was something off-putting about Miren that mystified his cruel master, a strange feeling that the ocean
was bowing to an old friend. For this reason alone, the boy was allowed to live so that his captain might benefit from this
presence. This would prove to be the man's downfall, for Miren found a sense of camaraderie among his shipmates that grew
with time until the day came for this band of friends to mutiny against their captain. It was a swift battle, for none could claim
to like the man. They had only feared him, had only lacked the courage to stand up against his heartlessness, until Miren gave
them this. It was for this reason that, after the death of their previous captain, the young boy would be given a new name as
he took the helm as their new captain. A name that would come to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies. Mir the Scorpion.

Sophia Jade Asiali, the young beauty. She is naturally talented with dance, singing, playing the piano, and beautiful embroidery. Her delicate fingers were built for these things. She’s not very bright. However, she’s observant and clever. One should take special care to not slip up when around little miss Sophia, she will surely take note of it. Amongst her elder sisters, who are much more brave and smart than her, Sophia stands out with her nurturing, kind, and graceful being. But with being the youngest, she could be considered a little spoiled and immature. Sophia is a confusing person, she’s stubborn yet sensitive. Trying to figure her out is like navigating through a minefield, yet, having the pleasure of knowing her is well worth it. She's super loyal. Breaking her trust is like breaking glass. Broken glass can't be fixed.

aria asiali ☀ - sophia and aria get along well or might even be close, even though aria is the eldest and sophia is the youngest. sophia likes to take care of aria: helps her choose her dresses, does her makeup and hair, makes sure that aria never misses out on anything, because deep down sophia knows that aria deserves the throne and that aria is much more than people have come to think of aria. aria is the only one that sophia trusts wholly and sophia likes to talk with aria because she always has good advice.

ríona asiali ☀/☁ - sophia and ríona aren't very close, but there is a unspoken feeling of care and love between the two. even though sophia is kind of spooked about the fact that ríona fights, sophia has a high respect for her bravery. the one thing that brings the two together as sisters is dressing up for events and balls. they share the love of dressing up and nothing could delight sophia more than choosing dresses together, doing each other's hair, and getting ready. when ríona is away, one more than one occasion, sophia feels the loss of her presence.


caoimhe asiali ☂ - i believe that caoimhe and sophia won't get along too well since they are basically opposites. where sophia is princessly and graceful, caoimhe is wild and free. sophia respects the dress and embroidery, caoimhe ruins her dresses. they even butt heads because they're both stubborn. the only time they'd get along is their mutual appreciation for nature, even though they have different ways in appreciating it.

saoirse asiali ☀ - i feel like sophia will look up to saoirse often because sophia herself has no book knowledge whatsoever.
sophia might be annoying with pestering her with curious questions at times, but that's only because sophia sometimes wishes she was intelligent like saoirse.

nicodemus isaiah harker ☁ - sophia is intimidated by nicodemus cause he's large and he's a guard, meaning handy with fighting and weapons. sophia doesn't believe in violence, which make sense why she's slightly skittish around him. but at the same time, sophia finds comfort in knowing that he protects their kingdom and admires his loyalty from afar.

miren craft ☂ - sophia probably will dislike miren at first because he's a pirate, and a captain at that. pirates typically use violence and sometimes dirty methods to get work done, hence, she has a preset disliking and disgust of pirates. sophia disapproves of violence and fighting, it scares her and she thinks it unjust. maybe later throughout the role play sophia could learn to accept him, but for now, let's just say they aren't the best of friends.

marshall seidel ☀/♥ - since sophia is not smart at all herself and doesn't like to read books, she's fascinated by marshall and his vast knowledge of things. there's one thing they both disagree on, violence, which could be something they can relate to. she might or might not have the teeniest crush on him, but let's leave it uncertain for now.

tobias asiali ☀ - sophia and tobias could be close friends. however, they will have their differences. where tobias goes out of his way to do risky things, sophia wouldn't.

rayne ☂ - to sophia, rayne is just an intimidating giant (she's small! 5'6") who can hunt really well, which kind of spooks her. she doesn't like violence, fighting, or anything to do with inflicting pain. he's cold at first, which might also make sophia feel nervous since she's a kind yet sensitive.
