"We're both new too." Iris shook his hand and glanced at Shane to do so as well. After a moment, Shane shook Alex's hand by gripping it tightly and letting go. Right, no people skills; neither did she but she was more polite than that! Iris elbowed Shane in the ribs again, signaling for him to stop his grumpy act. She listened to the speech silently and then turned back to Alex, "Wanna come with us?" Shane leaned over to Iris and muttered "I'm going to use the bathroom, Don't do anything stupid, kay?" They both smiled, he always said that whenever he left her alone. After Shane was gone, Iris apologized. "Sorry, he can be a bit...intimidating."

Shane splashed water on his face, trying to calm himself down a little. He finally realized that someone else in the bathroom with him. This startled him and he whipped his head to the side to locate the person. Shane immediately felt a little embarrassed but didn't say anything. He just stood there for a moment until he grabbed paper towels as well, wiping his face off.

Aren grumbled looking in the mirror. He dropped his bag off his shoulders and struggled to take off his hoodie as it got stuck to his shirt from the water. "So much for a first day.." He finally took off the hoodie and gave up drying it. He moved onto drying his shirt and pants, as he slightly jumped when he realized he wasnt the only one in the bathroom the second he heard the noise of paper towels. He stayed silent not knowing whether to talk or just pretend to avoid the other student. Either way it was an awkward situation.

"Thanks, i Honestly wouldnt even know how I would get Aren from the bathroom." She added and waved bye to Yuelia. Dakota grabbed her backpack over her shoulders and started walking out of the auditorium and out to the hallways. "Do you think the dorms will be big?" He said thinking of the many ideas that ran through his mind. "Do you think they have.. brownies?" He asked quietly. "Wouldnt we have to unpack as well? Mark looked over seeing others leaving already. He left to the hallway, getting lost by looking at the ground avoiding eye contact with anyone. Keeping his hoodie up covering the ears. He finally looked up seeing two others. In that moment he had no idea where he had gone. He only followed his footsteps to wherever. As he saw them they were using ASL to speak or passing some notes through a notebook. He quietly went over trying to remember how to use ASL. He tapped on the girls shoulder seeing as the boy had wings. "*Hi, This is quite awkward but do you know where I can find*" Mark stopped there thinking what the sign was for booklet. He bit his lip and took out his phone and started texting in it. He flipped his phone over so they could both see. "Where I can find the holographic booklet everyone seems to have?" The text said as he looked to them. He was shy to speak so he didn't.

Hawthorne may have been a bit apathetic at times, but he wasn't a heartless guy. He noticed Ash's wince as he talked about his sister
and the sadness in his voice. The captain's expression softened just a bit as he quietly listened to Ash. " I'm so sorry for that," He said, understanding in his voice, but not pity, " It sounds like she still needs to learn how to control her anger- controlling her power should come easily after that." He said, giving a small reassuring smile, " But, I know she'll be able to do it. It might take a little time, but she'll come around." The history teacher glanced at his watch, inwardly groaning as he saw that they had missed at least the first part of the orientation. But, this is more important Hawthorne told himself, turning his full attention back to Ash. " I don't know what I can to do to help your sister, but I'm always willing to help if I can. " He offered, though he doubted if Raven would accept his assistance.

Truthfully, he had no idea which way they should go, but at least going somewhere would get them closer to finding a teacher than standing here in the hallway was. He didn't want her to accidentally be startled by the newcomer. Eden was pleasantly surprised as Mark began signing; it seemed that there were a few people here that understood ASL or at least could sign a little. Quickly reading over the text, he looked confused for a moment. Holographic booklets? He wondered. * Sorry, I don't have one of those* He signed, though he was unsure if Mark understood, so he gave a small shrug and looked to Angelika. Maybe she knew something about these booklets?

As they start going left, Angie makes sure to keep her head turned towards Eden, so she can see what he says. It would be much easier if she could walk forward and hear people! Eden signs an answer to her molting question, and starts to ramble about allergies. The poor soul must not be entirely used to people, if he's that concerned about others. She's about to reply, when he waves. Something taps her on her shoulder, and she is entirely happy that Eden waved. Otherwise, the person that tapped her might have been elbowed in the stomach. She turns, and he starts to sign. His usage of it must be pretty small, because he gives up halfway through a sentence and starts to type on his phone. When he turns it around, he continues to ask about holographs. Angelika gives a confusing look to the two of them, and Eden signed to him about not understanding. She sighs, then turns back to the new guy. Knowing Eden can hear her, she doesn't bother signing. "Hey, I'm Angelika. This is Eden. We were signing because I am deaf, and he is mute. I can read your lips if you can't sign, but I appreciate the effort. I can translate Eden for you, or he can write it out. What is this holographic booklet? We're lost, and trying to find the auditorium for orientation. Can you help us?"

If you missed the orientation they said to meet at the main office I believe.*" He used sign because he knew his English wasnt good. It wouldnt be as clear and thus harder to understand for them. He flipped his phone back to him and exited the notepad window with translations. "*my English isn't as good*" he signed and with that he gave off a shy smile to both of them.

Raven shrugs, "as long as we're together I'd be fun?" she says walking the rest of the way to the cafeteria, "no way we would have missed the cafeteria I'd be able to smell it," she says pausing for a minute in realization of how weird that sounds, "enhanced senses," she adds simply setting her bag down at a table and looking around the large cafeteria taking in the tables and chairs set up in a neat but chaotic order, in some strange way it brought her a sense of peace.
