Raven nods, "I understand that, being foreign is hard.. especially in the states." She stares down at the ground for a minute before up again as they neared the auditorium her face flushing from pink to red when she feels his arm slide around her and his head on her shoulder, the feeling sent happy shivers through her she didn't quite understand how to act on except to smile and rest her head on his for a brief moment. "I still haven't been able to get my 'accent' to die down a bit which makes it weird speaking to Americans," She walks into the auditorium then with Jay by her side. Just then as if on cue with what she was saying she got the feeling she always did in crowded places like this like everyone's eyes were on her. Raven felt the two feelings that were always present with her welled up inside of her, fear and hatred causing her to tense up. She keeps close to Jay he made her feel things she hand't in longer than she cared to admit happiness and comfort. Raven tried to ignore the feelings welling up inside her part of why her and her brother ended up in the school because they couldn't, no matter how hard they tired control them, or at least not her. Ash had always thought she had mastered them because she kept the emotions that triggered the shifting with her at all times and they became so close to her they weren't a trigger anymore, but she had let those feelings slip let herself feel happy, comforted, and not alone. Fear strikes her harder now afraid of what might happen now her bodys giving off ripples kind of like muscle spasms as she fights what she knows is coming. Raven knew what she had done she had betrayed those feelings like she might have a best friend and now she was going to pay for it, she didn't know what or who it would be this time if she did but she didn't want to find out. The only things she had ever shifted to was animals and she didn't think there was much else but again she didn't want to find out. Raven strikes up a new topic trying to hide the fear drowning her and hoping he didn't feel the now more violent spasms through her body, "S-so w-what," she pauses to get herself somewhat under control, "So what are you in for? I mean I know we all have a song or something like that but apparently we get some kind of.. a-ability with it." she shakes her head slightly slipping into a seat on the far right of the auditorium patting the spot next to her for him to sit, "n-never mind forget I asked." if his was anything like hers she knew he might not want to talk about it especially with the disasters certain powers could cause.

He looked up at the roof of the auditorium, and then around him. He hadn't noticed but the auditorium had been filled out, his body shaking slightly from nerves. His nerves spiked as he bit down on his bottom lip, as he felt a hand on his arm. He got a calming look from Dakota who nodded her head. He wasnt used to being around so many people. He didn't like crowds either. His shaking stopped and he brought his attention to the stage.

She only saw this once, when they were on a video call and he was suddenly surrounded by a crowd and the call ended there with his face looking frightened.

"Its slightly funny when your walking on the sidewalk and you hear people talking about you, thinking you dont know the language." He chuckled. "I find your accent quite attracti- " he cut himself off realizing what he was going to say. "Nice quite nice" he continued shyly. Jay felt Raven's tension and atmosphere change as soon as they entered the auditorium full of people. He brought his hand down to hers and held her hand. With a comforting smile across his face, his eyes just slightly closing because of the smile. He followed behind her and sat down beside her. "Well when you put it like that, it makes it sound like we're in prison" he chuckled. "I can summon swords out of my hands, and gain some speed" He said while looking at Raven. He had already started liking her more than a friend and he liked the feeling. He looked around at the amount of people, he didn't expect to see so many others. Then again this was a school, there was supposed to be alot of people. "You can ask me anything~" Jayson said looking at Raven with a bright smile before bringing his hand to hold onto hers. Her hand was smaller than his, and he thought that was cute.

Raven nods flushing at the mention of her accent being attractive, forgetting the moment of panic when his hand settles on hers she grips it tightly still fighting the spasms, "That's cool" she looks down at the carpet flooring of the auditorium extremely overwhelmed by all the emotions consuming her at the moment, she was destroyed but all at the same time more put together and didn't know how to comprehend all of it. Raven leans her head onto Jays shoulder finding comfort in his hand and the warmth she could feel from him, "I-i guess it could be like a prison I'm not sure," she pauses "t-this is my first year my brothers been here a half a year before this, so I don't know," she offers a weak smile, "it could be like some kind of boot camp," she knew her voice was coming out flat almost cowardly instead of the playful rebellious tone she had wanted on the words, "it must be nice having a weapon at all times," she says mulling over her powers, she had claw and fang but was that really such a good thing? What if she were to lose control turn into a beat like those horror movie were-beasts. Raven nods to his comment about being able to ask him anything, "Thank you, you can ask me anything as well, I owe you that." She offers a small smile looking over the growing crowd, "I didn't think there would be this many people," she lets out a nervous laugh, "but then again thats part of the reason I don't really attend these things."

Silence filled Aren's head as he looked to the stage, wanting for this orientation to end as quickly as possible and then head to the supposedly classes or dorms. He had to get used to being around alot of people. He nodded slowly at Ashes question and looked down to the floor, biting his lip and letting his hair fall over his eyes. He looked at Dakota when she messed up his hair, and pouted before returning back to looking at the floor keeping his head down.

Jay smiled when he felt her head rest of his shoulders. "The right thing is what school doesn't feel like prison?" He said with a soft chuckle. "Same, this is my first year here as well" he said with a smile. "Boot camps aren't fun~ Only if your good at the activities" he said leaning his head on hers, he remembered a few memories that only had embarrassing moments at a boot camp once. He couldn't even carry a rock since he wasnt as strong or big, at the same time he was only ten and puberty hadn't hit yet. Since then he grew taller and muscular. "I'd look like a crazy person if I had weapons on me all the time.. I dont really think it's useful either.. like when am I even gonna get the chance to use swords?" He said with an added soft sigh, but resumed to his happy self. "You dont owe me anything~" he said with a smile. "I mean we can always skip this place or take a nap" Jayson said with a grin. "Whenever I attend these things I somehow end up napping like half the time." Jay said while looking at his hands that held Raven's, he smiled at the sight.

Raven laughs letting some of the anxiety fade away, "thats true," she smiles at his mention of boot camp, "I take it you've been then, huh?" she looks at him her expression going to a joking sort of serious, "oohhh I don't know it could be useful if someone such as myself were to startle you in a sleepy state on your way to your dorm trying to steal you away," she chuckles, "though I hope you wouldn't feel the need to use a sword on me," there was a small twinkle in her eyes, "I'd only steal you away for naps that late at night," she looks him in the eyes for a moment before following his gaze to their hands a smile spreading onto her face as well at the sight, "your powers more useful than mine," she sighs, "I'm a shape-shifter, though from what I know I can only shift to animals andddd I have no control over it what-so-ever," her eyes go clouded with her next statement as she looks at her still rippling skin and muscles, "I've only ever been able to when I feel scared,angry, or alone." she sighs looking over the students not knowing why sh was telling Jay all of this but she trusted him, "its all I've been able to feel for so long that even the trigger of it went away, I haven't used my power since I was fifteen, I honestly don't even know if I can anymore," she offers him another small smile, "I've been able to loosen up around you though, which is odd I haven't been around anyone not sinc-," she cuts herself off quickly, "anyways I do owe you in my own way," she chuckles when he mentions sleeping during orientation, "you're welcome to take a nap if you feel the need, I don't know if I'd be able to thought.

"Both those ideas sound nice right about now" he added with a grin on his face. "A shape shifter? That's so cool though That would be preferred over swords any day to me." He said and played with her hand. "Well, you can always learn to at this place. This place has got to be good for some use dont ya think?" He said reassuringly. "Maybe you can control it when you feel happy, I'll make sure your happy" he said with a bright smile. "Plus, I'll never leave you alone now" he said with a smirk then a chuckle. "Its the start of something" he added happily with a chuckle. "If I somehow do manage to nod off, Make sure to wake me up. Since I was nervous last night I didn't get much sleep, Hence why I literally tried taking a nap on the bench. But I met you instead which is way much better and worth it" Jayson said with a smile, and continued to play with her fingers, and intertwining his fingers with hers.

Yan led herself down the hallway and stopped once she reached the doors to the auditorium. As she pushed open the doors, she turned her head and faced Amethyst. "So I don't think I've seen you here before. Are you one of the new teachers?" she asked. As Maeve watched everyone settle down, she tapped on the microphone and said cheerfully, "Alright, are we all ready now?" There were some murmurs here and there, but the room was relatively quiet to how it was before. Maeve cleared her throat, and started off with an introduction. "Well, first, I'd like to welcome all students, new and old, to Maeweather Academy! I am your principal, Ms. Reagan, and today marks the first day of the school year. Also, I expect this year to be quite enjoyable. I'd like to remind you all that this academy shouldn't be any different from your average school. We will cover all the basic principles in our curriculum, but with the addition of music enrichment. For all the new students out there - you may feel confused about why you're here in the first place. Perhaps your parents forced you, the school recommended you, or you came here of your own accord. In any case, let me just sum it all up - you are unique. You have something that most people don't have. That little song you hear all the time? It was a melody given to you on your fourteenth birthday, and it's yours to keep. But! There's more to it. Once you learn how to sing your song, you will also grow a supernatural power. For example, I can manipulate light." Maeve quickly demonstrated this by summoning a large beam of light from her palm. She has studied her song for so long now, and a stunt like this takes little to no effort. She called back the light particles and the linear beam dissipated into small bits of light. Taking hold of the microphone once more, she resumed her introduction. "This school was created for people like you, to bring you all together and to enrich your melody. Everyone here will learn how to manifest into their own ability, and by the time you all graduate, I'm sure you will become adept in controlling your music, and power." Maeve paused for a moment, allowing the audience to take in all of the words she had just said. Her speech was followed by a statement of reassurance. "Remember, this is only the first day of school, so take it easy! Though, I do expect you all to take your studies quite seriously, just know that there are teachers all around to help you." She paused for a moment, her eyes searching through the crowd. Raising her hand, she gestured towards the teachers that were in the room, as if to point them out. When her gaze landed on one of those "handbooks" that she had made before, Maeve suddenly remembered something. "Ah! Some of you may be wondering what those holographic booklets are for - those are your temporary student handbooks." she blurted. "They contain information about your schedule, campus rules, dorm assignments, and a student and staff directory. Make sure you have them, because they're quite useful." She quickly glanced at her watch and checked the time. "Well, it seems like we're running out of time. Everyone should head off to their advisory room now, room 305. Your adviser should be there to hand out your dorm keys." she said dismissively as she walked off the stage.
