I didn't bother commenting any further on Ford as he practically pouted at the fact of being picked up like a child out after curfew technically he was i knew if he kept it up D'arc would eventually step in. Going back to being pretty much silent aside from the few comments i casted to the leader himself or jokes i shot out in attempt to keep the mood somewhat lighten. I followed his verbal directions rather glad he did in fact tag along other wise i'd likely get lost in this maze of a trail you'd figure especially with the threats lurking the forestry they'd have more blunt directions lined out for the towns people but apparently that wasn't happening any time soon. I only finally turned down the radio as we grew deeper into the land of un-civilization not wishing to draw any more attention to ourselves then necessary especially due to what happen only hours ago. Finally growing somewhat near our destination i slowed the trucks speed to cautiously look around not particularly in the mood for one of the dire beasts to ambush us for a simple mistake such as lack of attention, only nearly jerking the car to a halt and reaching over to ensure i didn't sent D'arc into the dash as i heard the echoing yell of what seemed to be a male on edge for his own reasons i casted a sideways glance to the leader before coasting the car forward, part of me wished i were over exaggerating and it was just some idiotic highschoolers ditching class but the better part knew that was very unlikely, no matter how much i wished it would be.

Nearly grabbing the monster like beast by my side as it lunged at the medics hand i only stopped myself when i saw it didn't hold on though the loud crunch of the bones did instantly rise my concern sending a burning glare into the wolfdog's skull who promptly laid its head on its paws, ignoring my murderous gaze which remained for a few moments more before i looked to Jay himself with a softer expression though having not the chance to look it over myself before he dressed it and took off leaving me once more alone with the comatose beta and unpredictable canine. giving a glance to each in turn i finally let out a heavy sigh resituating myself beneith her hold as i let my gaze switch to the door, then the direction of the confines the hunter was being kept in, hopefully rotting away in his cell begging for mercy but knowing who i sent down i knew that was unfortunately highly unlikely. thinking silently for a moment i finally looked back to sky and licked my lips hydrating the dry skin as i carefully, nearly painfully slowly raised her taking every percaustion not to injure her further despite knowing she likely couldn't feel anything. Moving her off my chest and shoulder i quickly stretched the joint with a grunt 'love you sky, but i can't feel half my body anymore" i mumbled with a light smirk before i swung my legs off the bed, standing before her loyal companion as i staired down at it with a heavy sigh "you're in charge till i get back" I muttered knowing it was very unlikely it could understand anything i said but also very determined if it - like me would be anything but quite had it sensed anything off. With that i stretched once more only hissing harshly as the stiff joint popped in protest and walked out of the room, now empty coffee cup in hand as i made my way to the kitchen starting another cup, walking past the basement door and towards that of the weaponry one as it brewed i made a mental plan to find some non-bloodied clothes in the spare bedroom knowing i typically kept a set or two here anyway. About to begin the dreaded climb up the stairs i stopped as something caught my attention causing my head to snap in the direction of the closet i just passed - the floor creaked. Narrowing my gaze confusedly i turned completely towards the mildly small room jaw clenched as i stared at it for several moments waiting to see if whatever fragile being would come out on its own before letting out a low growl and stalking towards it not wasting any time to swing the door open boldly about to lunge at the first being i saw, somehow gaining the control to hold my attack back as my gaze widden slightly at what exactly i was met with - emmy?. Staring down at the apparently hiding girl i rose a brow momentarily with a tilted head "Emmy, what the hell are you doing in here?" I asked with a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose before crossing my arms over my chest.. what was wrong with these people? suddenly i think i understand why sky was so uptight all the time..

The seventeen-year-old sat bolt upright, but had almost no time to react as the door was flung open and she found the newly-assigned Alpha staring her down in apparent confusion. The subconscious relief that it wasn’t some werewolf hunter intent on the kill was barely noticeable in her sudden, unreasonable, panic. “I wasn’t eavesdropping!” She blurted, far from her usual sassy nature. “I was, uh, organising!” She patted a pile of shoeboxes labelled in a language she didn’t understand and grinned winningly as she quickly placed the photo album she’d stolen borrowed on top.
“See?”
Even to a human nose, she’d have reeked of guilt. She wasn’t sure why she was so nervous. Adam was no threat to her, even if she didn’t know him all that well. Maybe it was the uncertainty of how he’d react to find the young hunter had been creeping around, listening through the walls that drove her to shrink back into the soft folds of a navy parka hung on the wall. It smelt of Skylar. Something that should have been reassuring – in a weird way, it always was – but just set her further on edge yet. Skylar was, for the moment, as good as dead.
Unsure of how she should react, but still trying to play it cool, she leaned casually against one wall and widened the smile.
"Uh, nice weather today."

This old man was stealing her lines. She backed up as the man broke into what looked like, to her, a minor breakdown. Like nobody had seen that one coming. And then, out of the blue, her enhanced ears picked up on something.
"Emerry! Shhh!"
She'd heard it. She knew she'd heard it.
"You hear that?"
She was half-blood. Her hearing wasn't as good as Emery's, whether the man was old and tired or not. And she certainly wasn't as trained and experienced as him, either. But she'd heard an engine rattle and she could smell the exhaust. There was no way he hadn't, right?
Even if he hadn't, the sudden urge to grab the duffel and run was overwhelming. As cowardly as Blair could be, the urge to run before the threat had even appeared was unusual.
"Tell me you heard that. There's no way you didn't."

"Keep going. Whatever it is, this takes priority. Understood?"
He hadn't noticed that his good arm had strayed to his gun until he finally raised it in a signal for Kat to stop.
"Coast it to a halt, Kat. Carefully."
Despite the warm afternoon sun, the trees here were dark. Really, really dark.
He didn't need to be able to see. He was well trained, to the extreme. But he'd been terrifled of the dark as a kid, and it was stll disconcerting even now, even if it never hindered him. Whatever had ever been hiding in the dark, he could deal with.
Until theyhad been asigned to this case. With no specialist training and a convoy of weaponry and specialised equipment designed on speculation and guesswork.
He gritted his teeth and, breathing deeply ad he laid eys on the last car of the convoy. Jin was nowhere to be seen.
And that scream still echoed in his ears.

Whereas the Alphas had chosen to be accessible to their subjects, Skylar’s priority for the last six years had been the exact opposite. Her house had still ended up as the pack headquarters, despite her best efforts, though, and although Jason could certainly appreciate how much easier Skylar’s property was to defend – from the strategic sense, the place could be fortified in the blink of an eye - it made getting to and from the house a real pain in the butt.
Literally.
Following another painful jolt as the off-roader crawled over another mountain-of-a-bump, he finally eased the large vehicle off of the forest floor and onto the dirt track that lead back toward civilisation. Only another gruelling twenty minutes from there.
When he finally pulled up into one of the hospital’s staff bays and clambered down, he had barely five minutes until he was due to clock in. So he hurriedly swiped his key card across the sensor by the door and jogged past the reception desk, barely stopping in his much-abbreviated routine until he was finally wandering down the main ER corridor towards the ambulance center, regaling a colleague with an in-depth description of exactly how tired he was when another staff member poked their head around the door and waved him down.
“You guys heading out?”
“Yeah, Larry. No calls yet, but it’s drinking season. Somebody’s going to something stupid sooner or later, right?” Jason tried to look nonchalant. Failed.
“Yeah, well, keep an eye out.”
“Nah, we know all about the rab-“
“No, you guys didn’t hear? Had a couple of Fed agents in here. Pretty high spec looking ones, too. All shot up. One of their guys died in the early hours of this morning. Seriously, Carol hasn’t told you guys?”
Carol, the staff gossip, had done no such thing. A shame, because Jason’s heart was beating fast now.
“Feds? Like, CIA? Here? You sure?”
“Yeah, man. Some fed bigwigs.”
He’d have replied if his coworker hadn't grabbed his arm and tugged him along, muttering something about a call-out until they were out of earshot. Harry Winchester. Always paranoid, to the max. ”Careful, man. Don’t get involved. We’re not supposed to know.” Jay didn’t reply. He didn’t know whether the new development was good or bad. He did know that he had to tell Skyl- Adam. And fast.
So. We’ve got Feds on our tails. Great.

Mark stood quietly as Danny spoke his peace, rather aggressively. He couldn't blame the younger man, as Mark himself was having to keep himself in check for the most part. With the other wolf's question of if Danny was armed, he'd like to believe whoever shoved the hunter in the cage would have searched him thoroughly but it was best not to assume. Hunters weren't without their own cunning of sorts after-all. This was confirmed as the man, now known as Aspat, was still armed. Mark huffed in frustration and shook his head, whoever put him in here missed something it seemed. "Hand it over." The man stated simply as he stepped closer to the cell, arms still crossed over his chest. Mark wasn't interested in holding out his hand and getting potentially slashed by a silver bladed weapon covered in poison. If a firearm was involved he suspected Aspat would have already used it, or at the very least kept it a secret. "You've got one chance here with us. You either let us fix you up without trying anything, or you do try something and you don't get any help." Mark was speaking rather flat or without emotion, stating fact was the easiest solution here. Meanwhile in the back of his mind Mark was trying to remember where he'd heard the name Hawking before.

Aspat wasn't as trusting of Mark as he was of Danny. Something about Danny made him feel safe. Maybe it was the smell of him. Not the scent he would have smelt as a human bit a new scent. An honesty radiated off him and it made him feel safe. Mark smelt distrusting and he reeked of anger. Aspat didn't know what at or why but he presumed it was his very existence.

Aspat pulled a small silver knife from a strap on his ankle, a small gun from his waistband and another, larger knife from his waistband. He looked Mark in the eye for a small moment before looking down and sheepishly holding the weapons out to Danny with his good hand. He was scared. He wasn't often scared but he was. His mind was racing, his hand throbbing. He was in a strange place, in some kind of cell and he was scared.

Emery paused when she told him to shush. He looked at her. He wasn't going to tell at her but he wanted to and then he heard it. That familiar rumble and churn of an engine. The acrid smell of exhaust and the rattle of the pipe it came from. He suddenly became afraid. They'd sure as Hell heard him.
"Yeah...I smell it. I hear it." He responded, looking at her. "Run." He instructed her, tossing her a handkerchief to cover her hands. He pushed the bag towards her. "Go."

As the forest soon after came to a dead silence aside from the roaring of our engen let my gaze focus more and more in the direction the distressed yell came from but also ensured i was hearing D'arcs orders only actually responded as i saw what little light there was bouncng off the metallic gun in his hand out of the corner of my eye, giving a light nod. Doing as he said and slowly bringing the truck to a rolling stop my own gun now out of the safety of my boot and in the door of the truck, out of sight to outsiders but easily in reach for me. Hands resting on the steering wheel as i shut off the headlights i looked around the otherwise seemingly vacant surroundings and let out a heavy breath, gaze soon trailing to Jin's abandon car momentarily closing my eyes at the non-evident appearance of our team member as i looked once more to our leader observing his firearm outstretched before running a hand through my hair "Whats the game plan sir?" I finally called out across the trucks cabin glancing out the window quickly once more as a bird fluttered by and back to him before adding with a click of my tongue "With all due respect sir, i'd much prefer not making another trip to the hospital" I pointed out, nodding towards his already injured arm which was substined in a situation seemingly identical to this one, only ensuring my earpiece was still connected to ford's incase he did in fact need something before falling silent once more.

The sudden apperant desperate attempt to cover up her tracks caused my head to tilt upward towards the ceiling and another sigh to escape my throat as i momentarily closed my eyes and looked back down at the teenager hiding like a child secretly playing in their mothers make up arms still folded across my chest and jaw partly clenched, not in anger of course but honestly exhausted and quite frankly worried about the packs safety. I could protect them, i knew i could but at what cost? the fact i hadn't heard anything from the medic and former beta wasn't helping ease these concerns. Shaking away my rambling thoughts and turning back to the childish situation at hand i watched her a moment more and reached down, helping her up with a slightly amused scoff "Emmy, its not a crime to be curious." I explained calmly as i led her out of the closet, shutting the door behind her with a roll of my eyes before turning to face her "That said, don't do it again. If you want to know something, ask me or for gods sake anyone else. Just stay out of the closets, understood?' I continued with a still gentle yet firmer tone before catching the time out of the corner of my eye, it'd been hours since we brought the hunter back and it had been eerily silent from that direction, i'd go down and see what was going on soon. Clicking my tongue as i turned my attention towards the girl once more i observed her for a moment more before motioning for her to follow and walking into the kitchen "So, talk to me what did you hear? what is it you want to know that lead you into your 'organizing" frenzy?" I called over my shoulder, using the air quotations around Organizing as i began brewing another cup of coffee and leaning against the counter handing her one of the freshly brewed cups as i awaited her answer.

xxxxThe medic was pleased with the reaction, his eyes glimmering at this new sensation that was rolling off of the newly-turned werewolf. It truly wasn't often that the medic got 'hostile', especially towards his patients. Danny cast a sidelong glance over towards Mark, a gentle expression nonetheless. He eyed Aspat carefully, watching the weapons appear from various places. There was the faintest of smiles across the man's face as he stepped forward and took the weapons from Aspat, placing them down on the ground with care. "Don't worry, there won't be any reason for you to need them right now. You'll get them back later, I promise." he promised gently, giving Aspat a slow nod. At this point he was confident enough to slowly start to unhinge the cell's lock, eyeing Mark and Aspat equally. Soon enough, the door to the cage was being slowly pushed open and Danny was taking a tentative step inside of the cage. The medic looked at Aspat, cringing mentally at the metallic smell of blood everywhere; the fresh scent. It was way too much for his own comfort.
xxxxDanny held the bandages in his hand lightly, eyes focused on Aspat. "Where's your deepest wound, do you think? Are you bleeding still?... Mark, could you possibly hand me the peroxide, please?" he started speaking, turning his head around to look at Mark briefly before he was back onto Aspat. The man adjusted his glasses carefully, squinting at Aspat with a sense of worry. All he could smell was blood and it was really, really messing with his emotions deep down. He meant what he had said earlier about Aspat being in the pack whether he liked it or not; he could tell that the man had been bitten, it probably wouldn't be long before his scent started shifting. Hell, it might've already began under all of the other rancid scents. At the moment, Danny truly couldn't tell what was going on with the transformation changes. "It might hurt a bit, cleaning them and everything, but I swear I'm not intentionally trying to hurt you. Remember that it's alright to show emotions."

It was frustrating to see the man pull out not one, not two, but three weapons. This made it seem like whoever had placed him in there hadn't searched him at all, putting anyone who came down here in danger. Mark watched the hunter carefully, eyeing for any movement that even looked like a danger. For whatever reason the young man held out the weapons in Danny's direction, despite Mark being the one who'd been ready to take them. He was tempted to but in and take them instead but he hesitated to do anything that might change the current calm situation. Mark was supposed to be down there to make sure the medic was not only able to do his job but remained safe in doing so, but for now he simply held his ground, watching cautiously for anything he didn't like. It didn't matter that he could smell the fear radiating from Aspat, he was a caged animal and that made him dangerous, especially with his training. He could lash out at any point through the fear, Mark knew not to mistake it for compliance.

Though he wasn't a fan of Danny promising the prisoner he'd get his weapons back, even if he might have been lying to keep Aspat calm or comfortable. Honestly he suspected Danny didn't make promises lightly and fully intended to arm the man once again, which Mark wasn't about to let happen. He watched the medic step inside the cage, silently wishing he'd let the hunter come out to them instead. Nonetheless he moved to follow him inside, only pausing at the fellow wolf's request for peroxide. Turning his head he searched the objects they'd brought with his eyes before reaching down to collect the bottle. "Here you go doc." Mark said, arm reaching to Aspat's left side with bottle in hand to take whenever he wanted. "So Hawking," Mark started, deviating from the current conversation quite a bit. "You or your family play a part in Gregory Steel's death?" He hadn't been given the chance to ask anyone details on what had been going on lately, especially what happened to their Alpha. All Mark knew was the man had been killed and werewolf hunters were at the top of the list, and the Hawking's had been badgering the pack for a long time. He could both interrogate the hunter as well as try and get the answers he's seeking. Mark kept his eyes on Aspat, not letting them fall towards Danny knowing the medic wouldn't be fond of this decision.

Despite how compliant he seemed to have become,Aspat still retained a bite. He stuck to sarcastic responses and occasionally shot out glares but it was becoming more of a matter of habit than anything else.

"Of course I'll get them back." He stated. "Whether you give them back is another question." He added a sourly.

Aspat knew he was in no situation to start fights but, right now, he couldn't help it. He was saying anything to warm themaway from him. Sure, they wanted to help but that other guy, was he called Mark, wanted something else.

"My deepest wound?" Aspat snapped harshly. "You ask where my deepest wound is and if it's still bleeding whenI'm clearly bleeding out from my wrist!" He said, holding up his plastered arm. The white plaster was stained red and cracks ran through it from where he'd broken. "But that doesn't matter, just a graze." He added woth an eyeroll.

After his outburst, Aspat fell back quiet as he looked at Danny then watched Mark get the peroxide. When Mark spoke, Aspat laughed slightly.

"My family?" He asked with a laugh. "Haven't you noticed I'm alone? Don't you think, if they were alive, that they'd have already got here, guns-blazing?" He growled and the laughing stopped. "No, I never knew my mum and my dad?" A small, angry laugh, "My dad was ripped to shreds in front of my eyes by your kind." He snarled. "I wish I'd killed him but sadly, no. I'm not the man ypure looking for." He finished and stared Mark in the eyes, his gaze full of fury.

Blair looked at the bag, then to Emery. Anybody else would have probably done something heroic. Of course. That’s what made them Crimson Sky.
But she just took a wobbly step forward and took the bag.
“Emery, be careful. Emms has lost her mom already and she can’t lose her dad, too.”
She turned to break into a run, pausing to look back over her shoulder and shoot him a slightly apologetic look. She was sorry that she wasn’t brave enough to stand and fight with him, or assist with whatever noble idea he happened to have in his head. But the day Blair fought a battle she didn’t think there was a good chance she’d win was the day hell froze over. There was nothing to gain from two deaths. At least, this way, she could get the evidence back to the pack. And hopefully, come back with people braver than she.
“I’m coming back with help, okay? Please don’t do anything stupid.”
With a grunt of fierce concentration, she tried to call up the Wolf again – and failed, the first few times – until she felt the sickening, instantaneous snapping of body tissue giving way into her feral form. Grabbing the bag by the covered handle between her powerful jaws, she bolted off at maximum speed, grateful for the fact that – whilst a coward – she was one of the fastest wolves in the pack, even before most of her pack-mates had run away. She could be there in minutes.

"Me too, Kat. Me too."
He got out in one fluid motion, despite the injury to his arm, holding the door open and leaning against the body of the car. "Plan B. We retrieve Jin, send him off to get buried with all the honours he deserves, and if on of those mutts rears their ugly heads, we incapacitate them and lug them back with us for the boys in white coats. As ordered."
Keeping his voice as low as possible, wary of unwanted ears listening in despite the fact that they were - for now - completely alone, he continued, "and if that white one shows up them we put a couple of silver knives into her beforehand or break her legs for good measure."
He sighed.
"I was hoping to just leave them to Ford while we deal with this, but looks like things will be up close and personal until that man can get here. You've got a full mag of silvers?"
He took one out of the backseat pocket, passed it to her firmly without even waiting for her to answer the question. Better safe than sorry. With a final, slightly stiffer motion, he slipped his arm out of the support, wincing as he felt the injury beginning to burn again. If he hadn't just torn those stitches, he'd eat his hat. If he could get it back off of Theodore, that was.
"I hate getting shot," he muttered, with a snarl not unlike those of his quarry.
It looked like he'd be going against doctor's orders, after all.
