Juniper watched in happiness as the once limp, exhausted Cutiefly, was now buzzing around the room, full of newfound energy after being healed. Reaching out a finger for Nike to land on, she reached into her bag to pull out its pokeball when all of a sudden, a large crack! resounded around the care center. Rhea stomped closer, and Nike buzzed around Junipers satchel, as though knowing what was about to happen. Juniper pulled back the cover of her satchel, to see two small eyes peering up at her from the top half of a cracked egg. The baby Pokémon used its small stubs to climb out of what was left of its egg, and let out a small: “Togepi!”, instantly identifying itself to Juniper. She put a hand on her mouth, surprised it had hatched so quickly, but glad it had. After a quick thank you to Nurse Joy, she pokeballed Nike, and bought a new Pokeball for Togepi. Rhea refused to enter her pokeball, and instead climbed into her satchel, and let her arms and head hang out the top of it. It was time for Juniper to resume her journey, along with her two new Pokémon.

As you leave, you notice a shady person hanging out around the pokemon center.
Uh oh, they seem to have spotted you.
It's a team rocket grunt, and it looks like they want to fight you

As Juniper rounded the corner to exit the Pokémon center, and enter a path surrounded by forest, a person jumped out from the shadows. The emblem on their chest made it easy for Juniper to identify them: Team Rocket. A notorious group of people, who were always up to some scheme, though they were hardly ever successful. Juniper was going to try and take the pacifist route, brushing the girl off, and continuing on her path. Unbeknownst to Juniper though, Rhea had another plan, she jumped out from her spot in the satchel, and took an intimidating stance in front of the Team Rocket Grunt. Noticing the empty spot in her bag, Juniper spun around, and waited for what the grunt would do next.

The grunt looked at the Rhea before laughing.
"Such a small pokemon, you'll be an easy thing to take."
She grabs a pokeball from her belt and sends out a Raticate
"Raticate, use bite!" She commands, sending her pokemon to fight the Totodile

Rhea stumbled back as the Raticates jaws collided with the totodiles arm. When the totodile tried to shake the other Pokémon off, it seemed to latch on even more. “Rhea, use hydro pump to get it off!” Juniper yelled, thrusting a fist upwards in a cheering motion.

Rhea stumbled back as the Raticates jaws collided with the totodiles arm. When the totodile tried to shake the other Pokémon off, it seemed to latch on even more. “Rhea, use hydro pump to get it off!” Juniper yelled, thrusting a fist upwards in a cheering motion.

The hydro pump not only knocked the Ratticate off of Rhea, but it also made the foe faint.
"Uggh, this isn't worth my time." The Grunt said, returning her pokemon to its pokeball and then walking away.

It seems like she dropped a pokeball as she left. I wonder what kind of pokemon could be inside?

After the Grunt had left, Juniper ran over to where Rhea sat, worry etching the trainers face. Relief filled her when she was greeted with a cheerful “Totodile!” instead of a near fainting Pokémon. Junipers hand met Rheas clawed paw in an almost high five as she spoke: “Good job! Now, lets get some rest.” The Sky was beginning to darken, which Juniper had just begun to realize was happening. Her mood fell as she realized how little she’d done in a day she’d spent years looking forward to, but still, there was always tomorrow. As Juniper was turning to walk down her original route, something sparkling caught her eye. Her eyes widened as she realized it was a pokeball, an occupied one at that. The Grunt must have dropped it when she ran off, but when Juniper glanced around, she was already gone. Ultimately, the trainer decided to retrieve it. The Pokémon would have a better life without team rocket, that was for sure. Before Juniper went on her way, she decided to check what was inside. She turned the pokeball around to face the ground, and pressed the button.

“Of course!” Nurse Joy smiled, taking your pokemon. She quickly healed them and handed them back. Nurse Joy thought for a moment, looking at you. “Could you maybe do me a favor?”

With a press of a button, a Shiny Litleo popped out of the pokeball.
It looked at you curiously before rubbing against your leg, hoping for you to pet it.

”Hey Little Guy,” Juniper smiled at the small cub, a feeling of sadness tugging at her gut for him. “That Grunt doesn’t deserve you if she’s just going to leave you here, and not even realize it..” She murmured, as she picked up the Litleo in her arms, still stroking his small little tuft of hair, which she was fully aware could ignite into flames if not careful. “Say, Little Litleo, Would you like to join my team?” She blinked at him, eager for his answer.
