Lexa chuckled, following behind Curtis. She hadn't really eaten candy much before, so she didn't know what kinds she liked or which kinds she didn't. "You really like them, don't you?" she joked, chuckling. She watched him, standing back a bit.

"Yes, candy is amazing." Curtis stood up and held his stomach a bit. Though he was not over weight, he was a little chubby. "That's where this came from." He laughed, and turned back to filling his bag with peanut clusters. "I'll get a variety of things, so we can share overnight or whatever. Do you want to watch the sunset again? Or just go back to our room?"

Lexa laughed at his joke, and smiled. "I'd like to watch the sunset, please. It's really beautiful by the ocean," she said.

Curtis nodded with a large grin. "Okay, awesome. Lemme grab a few more things, we'll pay, then check out some other shops before heading to the beach later." He scurried around the candy shop like a little kid. Grabbing lots more chocolates, gummys, etc. He went up to pay. Then he put all the candy into a fabric grocery bag he had brought along. "Alright, ready?" He asked. Curtis put his hand out as an offer, and waited for her decision before walking. Outside the shop, Chubbs sat contently by the door. Letting little kids pet him and hug him.

Lexa smiled at him and took his hand. She smiled at the little kids who were petting Chubbs. "Hi there," she said in a friendly voice, smiling warmly at them.

A few of the kids scattered and giggled, as if they had been caught doing something bad. One little girl stayed. She looked up at Lexa. "You have beautiful hair!" She giggled. "Are you a princess? And is he your prince?" Curtis blushed at the question, and decided to let Lexa answer the questions. "And is this doggie your noble steed??" She giggled at herself and hugged Chubbs tightly.

Lexa laughed. "Thank you! So do you, darling," she said, smiling at her. "No, I think you are a princess. Aren't you?" she asked, crouched down to be at her level. "I think you are super pretty. You must be a princess," she told her, smiling.

"No!" the girl squeaked. "I am Knight Lilith! I slay dragons and bring them home for dinner!" She smiled and stood proudly, puffing up her chest to make herself appear bigger. Curtis smiled. "You look so strong, I definitely wouldn't wanna get in a battle with you!" He looked at Lexa, then the girl. "Where are your parents, Lilith?" She blushed. "I don't know. I'm a little lost..." She looked down at her feet, and shuffled them shyly.

"Last time I saw them, they were in the candy shop. But that was a LONG time ago." She sighed. "I'm not sure what to do. I know I'm not scared, though." She again stood up proudly. "This is going to be like, a cool quest." Lilith said happily. "My mom is short. Well, dad is short too. Both have black hair. Dad has glasses, and mom doesn't. Uhm. I also have a baby brother. His name is Keith." Curtis nodded, jotting notes in his head.
