The Grelifcent Dictionary

Postby KathrynKat » Thu May 10, 2018 6:18 pm

Please no posting here ever, as this is where I'll be placing info on the species with their own posts, and more organized being I'll always want to add info to the species!

The Agency
The Agency Captures, trains, tames, breeds, sell, adopt out, and auction off Grelifcents! These magnificent creatures are like a guardian most of the time. The Majority of Grelifcent are very friendly, and would protect their own kind and owner(s). Some may even protect friendly neighbors and friends of their owner.

Back Story

Backstory:
It is said that long ago there was a horse named Regal, a mighty Appaloosa Stallion. He was the largest of his herd, being about 6 feet in height ad weighing around 1,000 pounds. Despite how large and menacing this male seemed, he was quite kind and was known for his wisdom. The herd was threatened by many predators, the biggest threat being the grey wolf pack not far from where the herd nested. Regal tried his best to calm the hungry predators, but they could not be persuaded. Finally, the wolves tricked the large stallion into coming with them to talk out an agreement. Even though he was a strong horse, he was taken down and feasted on by the wolves. This angered the herd, causing them to attack and slaughter every last wolf. That is when Elita, the mate of Regal, told her fellow members of the herd to return to where they once rested. The herd was too angered by the death of their valued stallion, and with this in mind, went on a slaughtering spree. They killed every wolf that crossed their path, innocent or not. Before Elita died when attempting to stop the horses, she laid a curse on the grounds they walked. Sickness soon consumed the angered horses. After the last horse died, Regal rose from the dead. His body had changed, the skin rotted away from his face, fur blooming around his neck and legs. This was the birth of the Witherings.

Other Details of the Grelifcent

Postby KathrynKat » Thu May 10, 2018 6:31 pm

The body
As you could tell these creatures have a equine like body, with a lion like mane, lionish like tail, a horse skull head, and have some other fluff. The Hooves, Eyes, and tuffs on the ears are most of the time the same bright color. It is possible for 2nd gens+ to have mismatched colored hooves of their parents. It is a rare case for the ears to just match the base coat color rather than the same as hooves/eyes. It is the same for eyes and hooves not being the same color.
These creatures stand up to 12-16HH. It is possible but very rare to find any above or below 12-16HH.

Evil & Good;
Yes, indeed there is such a thing as Evil & Good. Each Grelifcent will be rated by their kindness starting from Good to Evil.
They're absolutely the max of Good at 1, then Pure Evil at 10. You'll find a chart.
Most Grelifcent will be friendly to their owner, owner's friends, owner's family, and any children. They're nice towards most creatures unless they appear as a threat. Some may be nice towards neighbors doesn't seem to be a threat, while there be some who may not care about them but will not hard them.

Understanding the Grelifcent;
They make come of a bit creepy or scary, but they're like a guardian the majority of the time. They live in herds and it is required you adopted more than 1 or stabled it with some other Grelifcents. Their behavior is different that of a horse. Their herd behaviors are different, and do not dominate others. They will however challenge each other in some shape or form that does not include harming one another. (Unless an evil one that is willing to attack it's own kind.)

It shouldn't be to difficult to welcome a new Grelifcent to a herd. However it is still recommended they not be on the same side of the fence. It is okay to be in a smaller pen in the pasture, or pastures side by side.

Gender Ratio;
Regular Artists/Breeding Artists
10% Stallion | 90% Mare

KathrynKat/Species Owner
30% Stallion | 70% Mare

Age Details
Grelifcents are ammune to death by age. They live for however long they can survive which usually for a very long time or almost forever. Some Grelifcents are known to be passed down to the Children/Grand Children to continue to the care of the Grelifcent.
They can die from predators, but they have the power of taking the soul/life of a predator. Very very rare cases killed by another Grelifcent. Which normally would be by a Rank 10.

Height;
12-16HH
x

Diet;
Feed off of Souls of those who become of threat, unless evil and steals soul from innocent other creatures. It is very rare
for a Grelifcent to harm or feed off of another Grelifcent. Not even all Evil will steal the soul of another Grelifcent.

The Skull;
Their skulls are tough as regular bones. They can however be chips, cracked, and dented. If one has gotten into fights, been attacked by a predator or anything they may get scratches on their skull or worse and it's permanent damage.
It's MUCH preferred to just use rope or something soft as a bit. A metal bit could damage the skull, and may even cause head aches.
If you use metal bits or cause them a headache of banging on their skull their temper may change.

Hooves, Ear Fluff, & Eye Color
Hooves - First Generations have all 1 color of hoof. 2nd will have 1 or 2 different colors. This doesn't mean 2 colors in 1 hoof. If 3rd they may have 1-3 different colored hooves. If 4th + they may have 1-4 different colored hooves but both parents MUST have 2-4 different colored hooves and is very rare in this case as well as 3 different colored hooves no matter generation. Are NEVER or EXTREMELY RARE to have DULL colored hooves. (no colors being almost brown/gray/black.)

Ear Fluff - First Generations or all will have colored. Very rarely a Grelifcent's ear fluff may just be the base coat color.
In 2nd Generations + may by very small chance also very rare, have 2 different colored ear fluff. Even more rare case 2 different colors on 1 ear's fluff. But usually each ear's fluff is just 1 color not 2. It's possible for base coat color like white intrude the ear fluff.

Eye color - While most of the time all 3 are the same bright color, it's rare but more common for the eyes to be another color from the hooves and ear fluff. Eyes are NEVER DULL COLORED! They;re always a brighter color.

Coat Variety;
They can have markings & coloring that is unnatural to any herd animal's coat.
They can have markings that seem almost transparent, from a lighter/darker shade of the base coat. A dark pattern can appear over light markings, and a light pattern can appear over a dark marking. You'll find many that mock the coat of a horse perfectly except for the skull. Then you may find some with red/blue w/e colors on the coat rather it's markings or fading. Hair Tuffs can appear as another color as well. It is possible but not common for the base coat to be an unnatural color but not neon or very bright colors. Most are a tint of grey/white/chestnut/bay/black.

Kindness Details

Postby KathrynKat » Thu May 10, 2018 6:55 pm

Kindness Rating
From Good to Evil rating starting from 1 to 10

Herds
1 & 2 - Followers & get along well with any Grelifcent always.
3, 4, & 5 - Followers & usually get along with any level of Greligcent
6 & 7 - Are usually followers but if no 8-9 they may take lead of a herd
8-10 - The highest is the leader of the herd "most" of the time, but will top any bellow 8.

Herd Size
Kindness Level 6 & 7 - Max of 10 per herd
Kindness Level 8 - Max of 15 per herd
Kindness Level 9 & 10 - Max of 30 per herd

Purpose to Pasture Ratings
If you own smaller/medium sized Pastures it is required to go by the pasture rules.
If your Grelifcents roam a fairly large field/pasture, they should be just fine picking who they follow.
Grelifcent will not bother with another herd. As there are far more Mares than Stallions, Stallions worry less
about trying to steal a Grelifcent from another herd. However it is possible a Level 10 will try and snag a mare
and challenge another stallion for a mare they desire. Otherwise they let others choose who to follow.

Stallions can be pastured together as long as it follows the requirements. Out in the wild, or pastured, a 10 & 10 will
very unlikely ever get along.

The better the temperament of a Grelifcent the better it gets along with others.

Breeding Event Grelifcent Details!

Postby KathrynKat » Thu May 10, 2018 6:59 pm

Breeding Grelifcent Event Details

How Breeding works for Event Grelifcents
Breeding Event Grelifcents entered in an event will be selected by artists to pair themselves. Owners won't get to make requests unless announced as a "Special". This will not be a common case in these events.

Who get the foals
The artist must notify the owners of both parents, and the owners have say in what happens to the foal. They may keep it, trade it for another foal from the event, or pick for it to go up for adoption.

Event Periods
10, 15, 20 +? pairings might be done per event
These events may happen at random.

How to attend
Owning an Opening Event Grelifcent or Breeding Event Grelifcent. An announcement for the event will be made, and you may enter you Event Grelifcent.

Recovery Time
For the Events there will be no Recovery, but however a limits per event!

Gender Ratio
Gender Ratio is equal in gender released. So if there were 10 released it be 5/5.

Foals
1-3 foals
1 Foal - 60% (1-60)
2 Foals - 30% (61-90)
3 Foals - 10% (91-100)

Why can't I just make my own breeding requests?
By adopting you agreed to the terms. These are for event purposes. The Grelifcent is normal just doesn't get to breed normally and has unlimited slots. Please don't complain as you didn't need to adopt the Grelifcent if you're against this event! It's that simple and the event's purpose is for the artists to come up with cool designs of what they know they can create something neat. The owners of the parents get to pick what happens to it! They can keep it or let it go up for adoption or even trade it for another foal from the event. However... There may be some Breeding Events in which Owners of Breeding Event may pick a pairing. It may even be possible to win breeding slots to use towards any or save as an item.

Regular Breeding Details

Postby KathrynKat » Thu May 10, 2018 7:38 pm

Genders
There is a Gender Ratio for a reason! To keep things more organized and more under control.
No, Mare x Mare or Stallion x Stallion Breedings will be accepted

Breeding Gender Ratio
Stallions 30% Ratio
Mares 70% Ratio

Shadow & Light Marks
Shadow Mark - Black Layer with opacity brought down
Light Mark - White Layer with opacity brought down

If the parents have Shadow/Light markings, such as stripes or paint markings.
They may or may not pass to the foal, and could take different effects and vary.
The foal may even come out with a paint coat or Stripes that are colored depending on the parents.
It is possible the foal look almost exactly like one of the parents but have shadow marks of the other
rather the other parent has shadow marks, regular stripes or regular paint markings.

Breeding Details;
Stallion - 10 Breeding Slots
Mare - 5 Breeding Slots
A Mare can have anywhere from 1-4 foals.
- 1 Foal 60% chance (1-60)
- 2 Foals 25% chance (61-85)
- 3 Foals 14% chance (86-99)
- 4 Foals 1% chance (100)

Obtaining multiples from 1 breeding doesn't count towards slots.
Each profile MUST BE DETAILED on it being from the same breeding even
if someone hit that 1% chance in obtaining 4 foals. There is a resting
rule for the Grelifcent Mares that you must not abuse!
1 Foal - 3 day recovery
2 Foals - 1 week recovery
3 Foals - 2 week recovery
4 Foals - 1 Month recovery

A Stallion may breed as soon as the foals for a current breeding is complete.
A new form is not to be made with the same Stallion, if a pairing is in progress.

Tails
Simply depends on how many both parents have.
Example; Mare 0 tails x Stallion 3 tails = 0-3 in the number generator.

Note; A foal can't breed for 1 week after created

Breeding Thread

(Rolling with Random Number Generator. I use highest % from 1 to whatever the highest number is to the least being the last numbers.)

Collecting Souls

Postby KathrynKat » Sat May 19, 2018 5:40 pm

When taking the soul/life from another animal Grelifcent.
It all depends on the rated kindness of the Grelifcent.

1-8
Will always put an animal to sleep very humanely and do not take the lives of other Grelifcents.
They'll put the animal into a sleep, and then take the life of the animal.

9 & 10
Will go out hunting for souls/lives. Usually doesn't harm any animal that shows no threat but take the life just to take it.
They may harm another Grelifcent many times before they take the life of the Grelifcent.

Hunting for the Souls
Any Grelifcent can collect souls, but may be long before any friendlier may take the souls of animals.
There will be events where you may earn a soul for a certain Grelifcent. The higher the rating, the higher chances in collecting souls.

What do souls do
There may be more details added in the future but for now they just add a glow to the Grelifcent varying on 5, 10, 15 w/e souls taken.

Items Details

Postby KathrynKat » Sat Jun 23, 2018 10:01 am

This is where I'll finally give details on how
what items work that you may have won.

I assume people have an idea how the items work,
but I want to also be sure people know they can use
them anytime. Just PM me about what you'd like to use,
and if an item to be used on the Grel and what not...

Tokens
These may be traded, used to buy and adopt,
and pretty much as long it's within the species....

Dyes
There are many given away rather as singles or a full package
or even a very rare item, which is custom colors.
These still have limits, being I'd prefer them sticking to
colors that are commonly released.
White or Black will not be included in the custom pack.
You may at anytime PM me when want to use any Dye.
You may select 3 different colors for the ear fluff, eyes, and hooves.
Hooves will always stay 1 color for first gens. You may not pick less than 4 hooves
being changed. Unless it's a Foal you may request only for 1 pair of color of hooves that
are 2/2. You may not change both colors on foals!
New color does effect breeding until bleached back to regular color(s).

Bleach Dye
This simply just removes any dye that has been used on a Grel.
You may anytime use a Bleach Dye to change back to original.
The original color will be saved in the color palette in it's color in.
This may be traded, sold for tokens or other items.
There are singles and sets.

Bug Pet/Companion(s)
Just PM me what Grel you'd like some sort of bug being added.
This is an example I made Jasmine.
They won't be large, they're just for fun.
Once used and drawn, it is bound to that character.
You may trade this as a ticket or sell for tokens to another user.

+1 tail (or -1 tail)
You may use or trade or sell for tokens.
This simply just adds 1 tail to either 0, 1, 2 tailed Grels. It won't
be allowed to be used towards a 3 tailed Grel...
-1 can't be used on 3 or 4 tailed, as they're rare/very rare.
So pretty much just on a 1 or 2 tail if didn't like 2 tails or more...
or just want a bobbed tail.

Semi Custom (+_ tails tail)
These items can range from a 1 tail, 2 or 0 tails, 3 tails,
or 4 tails semi custom. You give a few requests in coat
designs you like and I'll make what I think, I could have good ideas for.

Captured Souls
When given to you as a ticket you may trade it.
If requested picking a Grel for some sort of comp or roll, it's bound.
There isn't much at the time that makes Captured Souls a big deal.
Possibly in the future, but it's not sure their power, other tan for their
glow that grows more powerful around their eyes and hooves.
Usually the more collected the brighter. Higher number kindness,
as you know are the more threat and collect many souls.
There in the future may be different types of events in obtaining these.
Some random adopts may be released with captured souls.

+1 Breeding Slot & +1 Breeding Slot (BEG)
These may be traded or used, or sold for tokens.
You may use them on your own or somebody else's Grels.
BEG = Breeding Event Grelifcents. They'll be able to
breed with any regular or event grelifcent.
PM me, and the artists of the grels to use them!

+1 "Free Bonus" for color for a Grel
You get a bonus on top of your 3, after you've already used
all 3 of your others. There are events you can win tokens from often!
This is the current one running right now
just color in when have 15 tokens, and wait for an artist to claim,
then the 15 tokens will be taken or this coupon IF you've used all 3
for that current event. You may save this for even future events of the same.
(They just run 2 months at a time to give everybody time)

War Paint
As some of you may know there are adopts who've done paints on a color in of your character.
Just like painting on the coat of a horse is possible on the Grels... sorta...
As long as it's not on the fluff of course!
That being the mane fluff, leg fluff, chest fluff, butt fluff, and tail fluff.
So just the body, legs, base of the tail, and ears (not fluff)

Small item/Medium item/Large item
These range from a size of a random semi custom made item for your Grel.
They won't be full custom (I can't draw tack & items to well yet.
This is mainly a practice for me, so... just enjoy what you get!<3)
These may stay as a ticket, but once used, and is drawn, it's bound!

Small items can range from maybe a small accessory or very simple halter.
Medium items can range from maybe a decent halter + rope, or bridle or blanket
Large item can range from saddles or more detailed bridle or blanket.

There will be more direct tickets for custom items :P

Breeding 1 or 2 Grelifcents with Mutation

Postby KathrynKat » Thu Jul 05, 2018 11:27 pm

Breeding Grelifcents with Mutations wrote:
Breeding with a regular Grel;
50% change won't pass, mutation.
25% chance will pass, small amount of mutation.
20% chance will pass, near equal or equal amount of mutation.
5% chance will pass, more mutation.

Number chart for Number Generator;
1-50
51-75
76-95
96-100

Breeding with another Grelifcent Mutant;
25% chance will have mutations of father only
25% chance will have mutations of mother only
25% chance will have mutations of both parents (a bit of both mutation)
25% chance will have mutations of both parents (equal or more of both mutation)

Number chart for Number Generator;
1-25
26-50
51-75
76-100

Do note;
Mutation aren't always bound to only one or a family tree. It's possible another Grel will carry mutation alike. It'll just look rather different, and be other locations or shapes or sizes. Foals are more likely to look more alike to the parents, while another is completely different. A Grelifcent Mutant can pair with a regular or another grel with mutation. It can be the same mutation or different.
