Everyone could describe Oublié as a doll: wide eyes, gentle features, a lilting voice with a whisper of compassion and childish wonder. Dolls are not real, however, and cannot feel the same way that the mortal human could. Her childish eyes are not as bovine as one's own little daughter, not as sculpted as a porcaline keepsake on one's shelf. She is a child with an adult's knowledge, a high intelligence and a capacity for a terrible violence. Watching with unwavering eyes and a grin as if made of razors, she is a cunning force of gluttony and greed. A beautiful angel with the wings of a bat.

cool fun facts;

has a big ol' issue of memory loss. doesn't remember anything really before the age of eight. spent a lot of time in the northern seas, spending a lot of time near england, france, and the Scandinavian countries.

❝hornblower worked as hard to conceal his human weaknesses as some men worked to conceal ignoble birth.❞ methodical, intelligent, feisty- all keywords to describe edward's personality. he is the one to think before jumping into action, mind working a mile a minute. he keeps himself and his ship to a strict working order. thinking logically and not caring as much for the enemy's feelings, he has tried to push down his human emotions for the benefit of his brethren. however, on a quiet night, the young man can be seen with a book in hand and a rare smile on his face.
his emotions hardly slip from their tightly-restrained hold, only until he is comfortable around a person. [also: innocent, doe-eyed, kinder then needed.]

history;

his birth father was a captain of a navy ship- he was known as william bush and was the ruler of the atlantic. he came and visited his only son and wife often, telling of his ocean voyages and praising his son on his growth. william joined the navy after him, he quickly rose through the ranks of midshipman and then to lieutenant, one of the youngest in his field.
Being assigned to the ship HMS Hartline, he took to the seas. however, disaster struck when the captain and the other lieutenants before him in rank fell ill and soon went into the depths of the sea. formed as the acting-captain, the young edward tried his best before there was a particularly nasty fight with a Spanish frigate. with few survivors and having to abandon his ship, he was court marshaled and accused of murdering his captain and fellow crewmates.

cool fun facts;

knows french, english, and spanish fluidly. due to his father, he joined the navy and has a love of the seas. however, he is also a fan of writing (wanted to be a writer before his love of the sea). he loves to sing and loves Shakespeare. seems innocent, but carries too much guilt to be so.

edit: does anyone else think this is bull bc,,, it was literally in a rp and in the rules it said "a heterosexual relationship between bi/pan/ace/etc characters is fine, but no heterosexual characters are welcome here. i don't have to explain myself, but if you're dying for a reason, feel free to generate one."




so I get their point- it completely bugs the- well y'know -out of me when people exclude lgbtqia characters from a roleplay, I believe that every sexuality should be accepted into a roleplay, which is why I allow all of them in my roleplays. what I don't agree with is them being petty about it, you don't fight fire with fire, you be the bigger person and throw water on the whole thing so people can see how what sexuality a character is doesn't change anything. since it is their roleplay they can do whatever they want though, and if they believe that excluding a sexuality is the right thing to do, let them. I just think they're setting a bad example.

for a girl with such a friendly name, love isn't too kind. she fits into the tribe perfectly with her ruthless and
barbaric personality. if everyone is going to label you a monster why not play the role? mocking the weakest
and riling up the short-tempered few, love just adores stirring up trouble within the group. this pretty-faced
mermaid is afraid of nothing and enjoys teaching her fellow sisters that there is no mercy for even those she
considers her family. two-faced, manipulative, and rude; it is no wonder the more sensitive girls of the tribe
have a strong dislike for this vixen, which love doesn't mind one bit. love's main concern lays with those who
are just as menacing as she is. being a show-off she often tries to impress the maidens who are more wicked
than she is, attempting to get their affection by sacrificing the friendship of those she views as beneath her.
what love needs is for someone to put her in her place, to pop her ego and reveal the shadow lurking below
that is dying to be noticed. in order to thrive in such a cruel world, love changed her personality to suit the
environment she lives in, becoming villainous so that she wouldn't get hurt in the future. maybe if love had
found a different tribe things would have been different, either way, she isn't the most pleasant mermaid. text
