xName // Kiyotaka Ishimaru
SHSL // Moral Compass
Origin // Trigger Happy Havoc
Age // Nineteen years old
Gender // Male, he/him pronouns
Sexuality // Homosexual
Height // 5'9" = 176 cm
Weight // 146 lbs = 66 kg
Hair // Black & spiky
Eyes // Red & intense
Likes // Traditionalism, good manners, overworking, kendō; martial arts based on Japanese sword-fighting
Dislikes // Wasting time, laziness and neglect, anyone who publicly proclaim themselves as "genius" or tries to find the easy way out without making any kind of effort, those who disrespect the law
Bio // Kiyotaka is a hard-boiled perfectionist who chooses work over play every time. He has a strong respect for rules and order, and makes it his personal mission to ensure everyone follows them and doesn't get left out; much to their annoyance. Due to his natural calling for justice, he often assumes leadership in the group he's in and is likely the first one to offer solutions to problems those around him are having. He genuinely cares for everyone's well-being, and tries his best to maintain it while not always understanding their worries.
Following the tragedy that was his grandfather, Taka has sworn his life to clear out his family name, and secluded himself from your regular teenager shenanigans to focus on his studies. Due to this he is, without sugar-coating it, an emotional wreck that doesn't understand the basics of a casual conversation and therefore can come off quite awkward and rude when you try to socialize with him. Most prominent example being literally shouting in place of his normal speaking voice, only to state "I'm not shouting!!" if it gets pointed out.
Despite being the type to give enthusiastic confidence speeches to his all of his companions, Taka doesn't exactly follow his own advises. More than once has he been bullied for his emotional breakdowns and overflowing naivety, this having crushed his self-esteem to the ground - not that he would show his doubt to anyone. He doesn't expect anyone to call him an acquaintance more less a friend, but if they did show they cared, he'd initially have a hard time believing them. And probably burst into tears while progressing it. But in time he'd grow to love them unconditionally, and would have their back any time. No exceptions.

accepted!
alrighty, so we can go ahead and start now if everybody’s ready. I don’t really know when I’ll be able to get my first post up cuz I’m a bit busy with school at the moment and the rest of my schedule is pretty unpredictable for the next few days or so. but I’ll try my best.
anywho, to get into the topic of our first motive; would you guys want to discuss the first motive as a whole or are you fine with me to just go ahead and decide on my own? I have a lot of ideas for motives and I’d love to get your opinions on them but also maybe hear some ideas of your own?
also here are the rest of the pairs;

Kaito and Byakuya? Ouch, that's gonna be rough
Totally fine with any motives ^^ I don't have an idea of my own (yet), so I'm fine with anything you guys decide on. So excited to start!!
Also, I'm really sorry for neglecting to mention this earlier, but due to some circumstances, my final exams have been postponed to next week. So, I will be less active next week ^^

I'm ready to start whenever!
Molotov, I saw some of the possible motives you listed on the front page and I kinda like the idea of no one being able to sleep until someone's been murdered
I also like the idea of students being handcuffed together, that sounds like it would be interesting lol, but it'd be kinda hard to commit murder and get away with it...

@ ShimmerSolarPets no worries, schools much more important, thanks for letting me know ^^
@ Blumenkranz, yeah I’ve been pretty fond to the idea of them not being able to sleep i think it could deem to be a pretty fun motive. ^^ as for the handcuffed motive I've been iffy about it for that specific reason, it would be practically impossible to murder someone without it being completely obvious that the culprit would most likely be the person the victim was handcuffed to, buuuut it could make for an interesting double murder case? since the same blackened can't murder more than two people, they could kill their handcuff partner, and kill someone else in their sleep. this would help place suspicion on someone else, too. although I still have my doubts about that one..
here are some more motives I’ve come up with; ((feel free to give me your opinions on these motives, the quicker we decide on the first motive the quicker we can get this roleplay started))
- the blackened could choose someone to share their fate after the trial has concluded. like If they graduated, they could pick someone to graduate with them! buuut if they fail, they could choose someone to get punished with them! It would mess with the psychology of the class trial, where helping to catch the killer might make them choose to take you with them if they get caught, and trying to HELP might make them choose to take you with them if you graduate. — suddenly! nobody's help is trustworthy! aaaa!
- each student would receive a note at random. each note will claim to hint at the students past experience through their previous killling games, such as “student A was killed by student B,” “this student died,” “student A had a relationship with student B” or “this student murdered someone.” the idea behind this is that you don't know whether to accept if they're true or not (and some of them won’t be). obviously this will raise suspicion and distrust between students.
- (I’ve already mentioned this but) no one is allowed to sleep until a murder, anyone caught sleeping will promptly be woken up by a loud noise through the intercom. cue the mlg airhorns
- until a murder has occurred the temperature will continuously get hotter and hotter and/or colder and colder at some rate every hour until a murder. the temperature will eventually get so unbelievably hot/cold that it could potentially become deadly.
- until a murder has occurred, the male and female students will be separated, each only allowed to go to certain halves of the island. (they can still eat and sleep normally, tho.) i think it could create an interesting situation when the murder happened, where male or female students could NOT have committed the murder because of where it happened.
- (this is more of a joke but..) until a murder occurs "What's new pussycat" will play on loop over the PA system and gradually get louder and louder, the continuation of this annoying song will drive the students absolutely crazy and be funny as hell. lol

I really like the second motive on that list, though it would probably be better suited to a later murder as it has an impact on story development as well (but I still think it would be interesting to incorporate at some point)
all of them are pretty good tho, them not being able to sleep until a murder is committed is definitely a strong one esp. because everyone would start to lose their mind due to sleep deprivation
I also thought of a modification to being handcuffed to another student that I thought I'd throw out there? I think it could work if, say, they were handcuffed to another student during the day, then separated at nighttime. of course they'd have to be re-attached each morning, which would make it a bit more complicated, but the psychological impact would still be present (especially if you're handcuffed to like korekiyo or byakuya jeez) and that way there would be an opening for a murder to occur.
