Charcoal paused at the door belly full of jitters. She took deep breaths, hoping to keep it together. Here goes nothing... She blew out a final time before cautiously cracking open the door, inching slowly inside. "Hello?" She internally cursed her voice for trilling so.

Tellin looked up curiously as the doors opened and a black mare trotted in, clearly nervous by the way her voice trembled. He waved a claw casually, welcoming her. 'Hey there. It's cool to come in, I won't bite.' He was watching her with curiosity, wondering what sort of books she'd come in for.
Tulip poked her head around the shelf, looking at Tellin. 'Did you say something, Tell?'
'Nah, just someone coming in.'

"Oh!" Charcoal balked slightly almost passing him. "Hello. Um...are you in charge?" She looked at him in awe, having never met a hippogriff before. Glancing away she took in a sweep of the library. It was everything she hoped for. "I'm here to join. As a worker part of full time." Charcoal Dust blurted, turning back to him. Smooth.

He just grinned at her awed look - many looked at him that way, so he was used to it. 'I see, I see. Well, let me get my sister over, she knows where it's all kept.' Pushing himself up fully, he trotted over to Tulip, around the shelves. 'Hey Tuli, got a mare in wanting to join?'
'Oh! Okay, awesome!' Tulip deposited the books on Tellin, passing him the list and calling over her shoulder about where they go. Then, she went behind the desk and pulled out a form for the mare to write her details on. 'What's your name?'

"Charcoal Dust." Her heart leapt in joy. Immediate sign up. Today was a lucky day. And with two hippogriffs even! Her smile grew across her entire face radiating pure happiness. "I've had past experience of that helps." Charcoal blurted. That probably didn't mean anything. She wracked her mind for anything else. "I can recite the Dewey Decimal System to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'?" The dark unicorn tapped her hooves together unsure of how to proceed or stop babbling.

'Alright, Charcoal.' Tulip couldn't help chuckling a little - this mare was clearly extremely happy. 'Oh, you know the Dewey Decimal System? Thank goodness - a lot of those who come in here or work here don't seem to know it! You'd never believe the amount of work I have to do each day to get those books back.' Quickly scribbling something down on some paper and placing it under the desk, she listened with interest. 'What sort of past experience do you have?'

"My mom used to work at a bookstore, and for awhile I volunteered at the Local and School Libraries." She anxiously pushed her wire glasses farther up her muzzle. "I can work part of full time. Erm...I don't exactly have a huge social life yet." Charcoal felt pretty sheepish telling her this. It was totally unnecessary.

The first rule says you can't have an Alicorn:

1. No Alicorns! Slightly overpowered to be honest. If you have a alicorn OC change it temporarily to something else for the roleplay.

But if you changed them to a unicorn or a pegasus or something I'm sure it'd be fine! The owner of the Roleplay hasn't actually been online in nearly a month so this is just us as the players running it now.
(If people wanted, I could remake it and we could continue there? But if not, that's cool, I don't mind either lol)

'Good, good, experience is always useful.' Tulip nodded seriously, before crinkling her face into a smile. 'With how many creatures come and go here, I'm sure you'll find some groups to hang out with!'
She looked up as Tellin came back around the corner, list in his claw and free of books. 'I've sorted them on the shelves now, so...'
'Ah, cool! This is Charcoal Dust, she wants to sign up so I'm just going through it with her.'
'Did you introduce yourself?'
Tulip froze, flushing a little. 'Eheh, no...'
Shaking his head, Tellin turned to the mare. 'My name is Tellin, and this is my sister, Tulip. Nice to meet you.' He regarded her curiously now that he could properly see her.

Charcoal Dust blushed slightly at his inspection. She didn't deal well with scrutinizing stares, especially if they were male. Thankfully her dark coat hid any facial coloration. "Oh it's completely my fault Tulip. I should've said something sooner. It's such an honor to meet you both!" She was pretty sure that their names were easy to remember. Thank goodness they were uncommon. Uncommon names were easier to remember. Charcoal Dust mentally prepared herself to learn the library's ways. "I'm pretty excited to have made it this far honestly." She laughed uneasily.
