x splashspots frowned, the caring part of her taking over her judgement. "you poor thing!" she fussed, stepping closer to the she-cat to sniff at her wounds. "you must see shadestorm, jayfrost and softpaw." she muttered, turning her gaze to the young tom-kit beside her. "now, as for you, i can present you to midnightstar, but i'm not sure if he would accept you." she informed, spinning around to lead the two cats to the camp. she knew she shouldn't be leading them straight to the camp, but, how could she leave two struggling cats behind?

Since the clan cat had seen through his ruse, he stuck his tongue out at her, but quickly regretted the action and look down. Basil's eyes went wide as he blurted:

"Would it be alright if I joined? Please and thank you, I really need help....."

He walked up to the clan cat, still drawing out the p in the word help. He stuck his front right paw out and his pads were clearly cracked and bloody, which was surprising that his story actually stood up. The kid looked pretty hurt, and his eyes looked to be kinda gunked from infection. He couldn't exactly see the best. Too bad there's no such thing as cat glasses.

"If you help me I'll help you because I'm pretty strong and I'm very good at diplo-"

He paused, not knowing how to pronounce the word his mother had taught him ages ago

"Diplo...Uh, making comprises"

He blurted all of this as the clan cat led him, He was... quite the talker.

x again, splashspots had to try her best to hold back a chuckle. the kit was a charmer - and a talker! "that'll be up to midnightstar. he's our leader." she replied, eyes widening at the kit's cracked paw-pads. "we'll have the medicine cats see you both. i'm sure midnightstar wouldn't mind offering aid to you two. i'm not sure about the medicine cats, though. they've had a busy day." she warned.

And he just talked and talked and talked, Without his mom to tell him to shush up when he dissolved into run-on sentences. It was best just to drown him out and move on with business.

"Oh! the name's Basil! It's a lovely name, My mom really likes to put it on runners for the sick 'uns, Ya know, My mama was the BEST at healing and, oh I remember when flame, my uncle, got sick and- Oh gosh you really should eat somethin' for that sneeze, some oak leaf or somethin', but, back to my uncle-" Runners seemed to mean fresh kill to him.

She winced as basil kept talking. Ugh as much as I like kits, this one's making my head hurt. "Basil can you please shush?"

x the tortoiseshell and white bicolor she-cat threw an exhausted glance at swifttooth before nodding. "well, you'll be surprised. jayfrost is a little grumpy today and shadestorm is a bit of a cold one. but, she's a very great medicine cat. softpaw, bless him, is too kind for his own good. but, they'd rip you to shreds if they wanted to." she couldn't stop the small smile spreading across her muzzle as she recalled her medicine cat clanmates. "you and softpaw would get along well. opposites attract, don't they?" she stopped just outside the camp entrance, gesturing to it gently with her tail. "basil, you must be respectful and attentive in the presence of midnightstar. he's alike shadestorm. just... a little colder"' she pushed into the entrance.

He stuck his tongue out at swiftbreeze, but seemed to actually take it to heart and hush up a bit. He listened to splashspots carefully and took note of the personalities in his head. "Alrighty, I'll try my very best! I'm very good with authority."

First proper sentence of the evening, Basil, Congrats.
He seemed genuine in his attempt to calm down, although his ears kept flicking almost like he was about to start a conversation but ended it. He went over the conversation with Midnightstar in his mind, Imagining winning the leader over with his overwhelming charm and streagth and becoming deputy and killing a lot of birds and dating all the cute cats and- Ect ect

Shadestorm opened her mouth to spit back a retort, but promptly shut it. She breathed, expelling her thoughts and feelings, body deflating like a balloon. Given the agitated atmosphere and the obviously irritated Jayfrost, she decided it would be better to say nothing. Instead, she picked up the cobwebs with a small nod of thanks to Softpaw. She pressed them against Jayfrost's wounds, avoiding eye contact.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jasperpaw exclaimed, jumping to the defense of his clanmates- and Silverpaw. "How would you know whether my clanmates are loyal or not? If she attacks me, I can't take her on my own, he thought, eyes flashing in panic.

As he entered camp, His ears perked as he heard commotion from some den. "OOOO somebody's in troubblleee..." He whispered to swiftbreeze. He seemed to be walking beside her more closely. Maybe it was because he felt more kin with Swiftbreeze seeing as they would both be new comers. He also smelt prey, It smelt warm and tasty. Fish, maybe? "Oooo I'mma get some of that as soon as they get done treating these darn things..." He also whispered to female loner as he looked down at his ruddy crackled feet.
