"There's a couple of rules, though," said Melody holding up three fingers. "One, no killing people. Or injuring them. These folks only make enough to put food on the table, and they don't need death or an injured family member on their shoulders. Two, don't steal from anybody except the rich merchant types, or nobles, if you don't think you'll get caught. And three, if you see any of the crew, tell them to get back her smartlike, because the tide won't wait forever."

The corner of Liam's mouth quirked into a grim as he put an arm around Ingo's shoulders and hugged her tight, trying to be as not-awkward as possible. It was okay, though, as everybody needs a hug once in a while. Even pirates and blacksmiths.

Rodney looked at her, "I don't know if I can do it, I mean, I've never done anything as exciting as that before and people will know I'm a pirate from my voice," Rodney said, beginning to see down-sides to this plan, he wanted Melody to come with him so that he would feel a bit better and he would know that he would at least be slightly more safe.

Ingo smiled, he was being too kind to her. That one hug made her feel slightly better about life and herself in general. She had needed that, she had need it for a good long time.

"Oh," said Liam, simply. He didn't know what else to say- there had been so much death today already. He would have put an arm around the girl's shoulders to comfort her, but it would have been too awkward. "Um..." He struggled for something to say. "When will you be leaving port, do you know?"

"Oh, I think I will," said Sonja, handing the bread back to Sinbad. "You, I believe. For one thing, this isn't my house. I'll help fix the roof, too, but we can't be seen here. Somebody will think we're robbing the place-" the young woman glanced around, appraising. "Not that there's anything worth stealing."

Sinbad looked at her. He looked around himself and she was right. There wasn't anything to steal but the house itself. He looked back at her. "Then what will we do?"

"Well," said Sonja, gesturing at the rubble of thatch, "We could start by cleaning this place up a bit. Thatch is cheap enough, and easy to put on- we can buy and replace it later. After we've cleaned up the mess."

"By your voice?" asked Melody, incredulous. Then she laughed. "Kid, you've got lots to learn. That's alright, though- you'll be getting a lesson or two from one of the greatest actresses of all time. For that was, of course, what she considered herself to be. The girl cleared her throat, then lowered her voice just a notch and took on Rodney's accent. "Don't worry, matey. A voice is a voice- it can be changed easy enough."

Liam grinned, and tweaked the end o Ingo's nose in a friendly way. "Now, what do you say to lunch? My treat."

Sinbad nodded. "Yes ma'am." He started to clean up.

Rodney smiled, he was warming to this girl already. Rodney was not the greatest of actors but he did like to put on a show, he had never tried changing his accent before but was now keen to give it a go. He remebered how the well-off people from the navy had spoken, he tried to immitate it, with a degree of success, "So you mean that even if those disgraceful little urchins that call themselves pirates can act? Oh whatever next!" he said in a somewhat posh but still sailor style tone. He collapsed into laughter, he was having fun and he hadn't gone anywhere.

Ingo smiled, "Thank you so much," she said.

Sonja grinned at the young man and began helping as well, gathering the broken thatch into a pile and trying to avoid lifting heavy chunks of mortar. She didn't want to seem weak, but she also didn't want to break her ribs again by lifting things that were too heavy. They were still just healing from the day before.

Melody laughed as well, almost falling to the deck, but gave a quiet posh little cough and held a hand to her mouth in a motion of shock. "Oh, how absolutely awful! My dear Rodney, I certainly hope you haven't been socializing with those dirty little pirate types!"

Sinbad picked up what he could and headed outside with them. He set them down and headed back inside to continue helping her. At least she didn't slit my throat or anything. He thought and offered to take was she had. "Here."

"Thanks," said Sonja with a nod, handing him the bundle of thatch she had picked up. There wasn't much else she could say- this wasn't her house, after all.

Sinbad bowed his head. "You're welcome." He took it out and came back to her. "That it?" He asked, looking at her and around.
