    DANNYWEREWOLF MEDICTAGGED; Mark, Aspat

xxxxThat was a blow to the chest. Danny had to genuinely pause for a moment before slowly looking back at Mark. Mark had been the previous Beta, hadn't he? So he must've been close with the alphas. That made Danny shake his head a little slowly; the passing of all the pack members had definitely been running across his mind. It was almost too many deaths at one time. It had never been like this before, which was confusing to him. What was suddenly happening to where everyone was being wiped out? Danny clutched the phone in his hand tighter, gritting his teeth and inhaling deeply just to try and get his mind to calm down. The way he was burning right now, under the skin, wasn't a good sign and he really needed to be calm for the patient in the basement.
xx"I'm sorry about your loss, Mark." he said quietly, once again looking up at the other man. "Everything seems to be going downhill lately, for no reason. I'm hoping that it'll all be over soon." he added, trying to disarm the extreme amounts of sympathy and 'pity' in his tone. Some people hated seeing others give them emotions, he'd noticed, and considering he didn't know Mark? He didn't want to start this future-friendship off on the wrong foot. Shaking his head slightly, Danny looked at the door to basement that they were now approaching. Danny decided to do a quick check of everything when they paused at the door; the flashlight was on and working, there were clothes, bandages, antibiotics, peroxide, bandage clips; his eyes scanned the entire list in Mark's arms before he was slowly nodding. They had everything except what Adam had advised. He didn't want to make the hunter think that they were down there to torture him or something. Alas, hunters were unexpected and despite him hoping for the best, he wasn't sure what exactly was going to happen.
xxDanny nodded at Mark's comment, feeling a little nervous under the layer of protection he was being offered here. "Understood." having someone concern over him in this sense was a new feeling; it wasn't like he took a guard with him every time he went out to buy extra stocks of medical supplies. Either way, he appreciated everything that Mark was willing to do, even while he wasn't an actual pack member yet. Danny watched the door open slowly and, without hesitation after it was fully opened, walked into the darkness. The flashlight illuminated the wooden steps that descended downward, his eyes steadily adjusting to the growing darkness. The darkness wasn't the only thing he was aware of right now, he could also smell an overwhelmingly large amount of blood. Fresh blood, to be exact. This made Danny kick into his natural, medic instinct of wanting to help whoever was wounded. It was an instinct inside of him that was old as time and almost uncontrollable sometimes.
xxReaching the level floor at the bottom, Danny shined the flashlight down the rest of the steps for Mark before he was off and scavenging around for a light switch. It took him a couple moments but soon he was turning the switch on and looking above him to watch everything spring to life. Turning the phone off quickly, he spun around on his heel and felt his heart take a leaping dip. The hunter in the cage looked absolutely horrible, to say the least. Danny stared at the hunter before shaking his head and looking at the actual cages in the basement. Cells? He'd never been down here, for context, and this made him feel a certain type of way. Definitely a certain type of way. Of course, judging the style of this pack was not on his list of things to do right now. It was time to try and get acquainted with the hunter so he could figure out what to do. Moving closer to the front of the cell, he took mental note that hunters weren't necessarily trustworthy; they'd do anything to get away from certain death.
xxxxWaving a little to the injured person in the cage, he stood in front of the thick bars carefully. "To start this off, neither of us are here to hurt you. I'm Danny, a medic for the pack, and I just want to make sure you don't die in this cell anytime soon." he explained briefly, pausing to look at Mark. "I think I'm one of the few in this group who would be upset to hear that you've bled out." Danny wasn't too sure if Mark would take offense to being introduced, so he held off on that introduction. Finished with his own small talk, however, he gave Mark a little nod to signify that he could speak, if he wanted.

Aspat had become feeling less sick but the pain in his arm was agonising yet he pushed through it and put on a defensive sarcastic front.

"Well, well, well, another werewolf medic. Already killed one of you today before your little friend dropped me in here. Just you wait until I get out." He snickered but it was broken and pained. He looked between Danny and Mark, judging. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and dismissed the fact that his hand glimmered with blood. He coughed and squinted I'm the light as he looked around and spotted his arm. He cringed and felt instantly sick. He ground his teeth, determined to not throw up again.

Emery chuckled. "I just carry them." He said woth a smile, judging her with his elbow playfully.

The older werewolf looked around the car and moved toward the trunk, picking it before popping it open. He snipped around and found a duffle bag. "Hey, Blair?" He called, sniffing the air but not dating to touch to bag.

Skylar Aleksandrsen I Werewolf I Beta I Tags; Adam, Jason

"Shut up and take... the damn compliment, Hale," she replied feebly, half irritated, half sympathetic. She didn't know whether he was trying to be modest, but she did know that he could do the job just fine. Better than she ever could have.

"Who else? Benji.... he has Blake to look after.... Svann has her own pack to run.... helvete.... she's the most powerful alpha in Europee and the rest of the alphaess' kids have their own packs, too." The thought of her twin sister left her cringing, slightly – had she already picked up on what had happened through the Link? She hoped not. Oh, god, she really hoped not. The last thing they needed was Svann turning up with reinforcements. If the pack didn't assume it was an invasion, it'd be a miracle.
Her thoughts went back to Adam, now lying next to her. When the hell had that happened? The bed barely had enough space for the two of them but – secretly - she wasn't all that uncomfortable. They'd spent enough time crouched this close in alleyways, or in bushes, waiting to ambush whoever had appeared on her hitlist that night. This wasn't any different, right?
Things were really fuzzy now. She was so, so, so tired. And the pain was just getting worse, aggravated by her attempts to get free. Almost involuntarily, driven by the need for comfort, she pulled her arms up to her chest and curled up with a low moan of pain, upsetting the various tubes in her arm, and turned slightly - instinctively - to bury her face in the fighter's chest.
Within five seconds, she was out.

Jason Loen I Werewolf I Medic I Tags; Adam, Skylar
"Alpha Hale, huh?"
He'd meant the comment as a joke, to try to lighten the mood, but it just came out as more of a question, so quiet he could barely hear it. It wasn't as if he hadn't known what was going to happen. He'd known that command was going to be passed to Adam. Everybody did. What had surprised him was that the heir to the title had so nonchalantly handed the title over.
Jay moved from where he'd been crouched and backed up, looking towards the equipment as he waited for the increased dosage to take effect and for her to go back under, only allowing himself to breathe again when the female slipped back into unconciousness, away from the pain.
The IV tubes had come out when the female had moved, but something held him back from approaching and readjusting his equipment. Namely, the aura radiating out from the younger male. The sight of their attachment to eachother warmed his heart, but he didn't want to invade in their space. Protective males were the worst.
"Can you sort those wires, Mr Hale?" He took another step backwards, suddenly realising how tired and thirsty and sore he was himself as he did so Hungry enough to eat a horse. Another errand to add to the growing list.
"I need to eat something. I'm going to go and raid Skylar's cupboards... iIf you think that's okay. Can I ask you to watch over her while I do so?"
He ran a hand through his hair nervously.
"Just scream if anything doesn't look right... like expected, even. Please?"

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat
"Yes." His tone was sober, bordering on cold, when he answered. He was trying so hard to keep it together. "They'll be replacing Klein and Min."
He hated that word. Replacing. And he immedietely wished he could take it back. Pulling his hands under the table, he clenched his fists so hard than he could feel his findernails cutting into his skin, the edges raw and sore where he'd been anxiously biting them.
They might take up the places left by the fallen operatives, but they wouldn't fill the holes the werewolves of Jasper had torn in the group.
For no reason, he'd lost two members of his family. And the CO had the nerve to send him two generic thugs in their place, with nothing more than orders to stand by?
He'd do what he was told. As he always did. But it still made him angry.
D'Arc shut the laptop with a sigh and folded his ar,s onto the desk, resting his head on them and angling his face towards Kat.
Not defeated - never defeated - but so darn close.
"Clean shirt. Yeaah. Thank you."
He closed his eyes for a second, then opened them, expression infinitely softer.
"Oh, and Kat?" Deep breath. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so, sorry."
It wasn't his fault. He knew that. He was trying not to beat himself up about it. Beating himself up wouldn't bring them back. But he'd played a part in it. And if he hadn't been so arrogant, maybe it wouldn't have happened.
What exactly he was apologising for, he had no idea. But it felt good to get the words out.

Blair Strong I Werewolf I Fighter I Tags; Emery
"Aww, yiss, you're on a roll today," she beamed, looking up. A duffel bag, hopefully full of personal items. Items which would smell strongly of their owners. Items which they could use to identify the hunters. She knew better than to suggest they search it for ID, but she moved forward anyway, pulling her hoodie sleeves back over her hands and shoving her phone back into her pocket, leaving the text to her dad unfinished. Mark's car could wait for now.
"So what's the plan now? We hand it in? We keep it for our own grand and undoubtably devious plans? What?"
Grabbing a stick, she glanced at Emery and then hooked the bag out of the car's trunk, careful not to contaminate the scent too much, and quickly dropped it onto the ground.Three distinct scents. Two weaker ones. All scents far stronger than those of the car, and all scents she was suddenly sure she could identify if she smelt them elsewhere.
"Not bad, huh?"

The tone that D'arc used next to lace his words with did cause a flinch, barely notiable but there none the less through everything the team had gone through robberies, terrorist attacks and hostage situations i had hardly ever heard this tone only a handful of times at most, but still i could see where he was coming from these were his men, men much like myself he had formed a rather strong bond with - you had to in this line of work you had to trust they had you're back and return it in turn so even though the obnoxiously stubborn male wouldn't show it anyone with half a brain would know he too was struggling with the sudden double loss. Simply waiting patiently upon the stairs as he laid his head down i glanced out the window as passing cars could be heard on the main street not far from where we were the town was now easily buzzing with life with the people heading to work and dropping their children off at school. Turning back to the leader as i heard him confirm my suggestion for a new shirt i nodded "on the way" I quietly chimed taking a mental note of what the rest of his outfit looked like so i could rightfully pair it with a shirt as i always did before turning and heading up the stairs once more practically savoring my time in the short lived comfortable clothing before being stopped again as he called out my name instantly causing my attention to snap back over to him as i let my hands rest on the railing awaiting him to speak though the words i was met with took me a bit by surprise not expecting the sudden sorrow filled words quite this moment if at all though still i smiled gently and gave a nod my own gaze holding the same broken one his had "you didn't do anything you weren't supposed to Rian, we'll get through this" I assured with a slightly more determined look before assuring he didn't need anything else and continuing up the stairs finally reaching my room where i sighed heavily, letting both hands run over my head as i tried to piece together an somewhat suitable outfit in practically auto-pilot. Finally changing once more into a rather basic outfit - red loose t-shirt jeans and my boots i ensured to repack my bag with whatever we could possibly need this time around and moved out and down the hall towards D'arcs room where i entered, careful not to mess anything up had the male situated himself at all in the designated room and cautiously shifted through his clothing finally finding a shirt that would hopefully make him feel a little bit better and of course blend in well and headed back downstairs ensuring all the lights were off before doing so. Reaching the main floor again i walked over and set the article upon the table beside him and my bag in the chair in which i previously perched in, placing the rest of my trail mix in i and ensuring my ear piece still had a charge before awaiting further orders

Her stubborn snippyness hardly phased me in the least as she pressed the title upon me once more with her 'don't argue with me' tone earning another grumble as i hadn't the chance to protest even if i had decided too for she soon began listing off the others who any other given time could have taken over the pack even for a short time. As i heard her speak benji and blakes name i couldn't help the sudden pang of pain that shot through my chest jaw momentarily clenching before quickly relaxing it not having any intent on telling her at least not now, not in her current situation all i could do was look at her and absentmindedly nod "if only you knew sweetheart" my wolf breathed in the back of my mind it certainly wouldn't be good when she found out just how small our pack had gotten over the time she was out and throwing it at her with the amount of medication and pain she was in would likely have an alarmingly negative outcome. Opening my mouth to speak again i decided against it as she seemingly took mental note of my sudden closeness just internally greatful the sudden action didn't end me up on the ground or punched either of which would have hurt like hell, hearing her sudden low moan as the pain seemingly grew worse my head snapped back in her direction away from Jason whom i had previously been watching and eyed her with intense concern, hardly acknowledging when my arms instinctively wrapped around her the moment she pulled herself nearer attempting to sooth the distraught beta though not having to do much as she was fairly quickly back out and - as far as we knew away from pains grasp however knowing this i didn't make any move to remove my arm from my position behind her head or other from her chest more or less in a position where i was now holding the unconscious skylar instead looked over to where Jason was now a great distance further - a respectful distance and heard his comment on skylars words lightly scoffing as i removed my hand from atop her leaving the one beneath where it was and ran it over my face "Apperently so" I sighed heavily the name not exactly bringing the pride it should have at least not under these circumstances. Removing my hand as i heard jason speak once more though this time not about my newly appointed - hopefully temporary rank but rather the girl sleeping on my chest i followed his gaze to the now released IV's and nodded "Of course, not a problem" I breathed using again my free hand to gently lift her arm and untangle the wires before letting them re-puncture her skin where they were supposed to be and laying her arm back down ensuring she was safe before turning yet again to the only other male in the room, eyes taking in his current state as his words reached my ears - how had i not noticed his own conditions earlier? it was no doubt he hadn't he was pumped full of adrenaline but i should have. Silently cursing at myself i quickly nodded eagerly at the older male "i'm so sorry Jason, yes of course go, take care of yourself you did beyond excellent today jay, thank you"I spoke, words honest and sincere as i let my arm pull the girl closer as he asked me to watch her of course already having the intentions of doing so i nodded again "i've got her, go" I urged nodding to the door before watching the medic leave finally getting the much needed quite to nurse the heavily stressed, overwhelmed headache that had come some time ago and simply rested my head upon skylars lids lowering slightly despite my desperate attemps to battle the fatigue refusing to sleep incase anyone needed anything or anything had to be taken care of ignoring the nagging voice in the back of my mind telling me how much rest i too needed as i continued to lay there the beating inside skylars chest signaling she was still alive willing me into contentness

Mark Holloway ~ Male ~ Thirty-Three ~ Werewolf ~ Loner/Former-Beta
Location: Basement ~ Tags: Danny, Aspat

The moment they were off the stairs Mark kept his eyes set in the direction of the cage despite being unable to see it without having his eyes adjust from the light from his phone. He heard the flick of the switch and the lights shone from above, giving the cell and it's inhabitant life. The man noted their captive looked about how he smelled currently. As they approached the cell Danny opted to make an introduction and leaving it open for Mark to do the same though he was cut-off by their prisoner. His comment caught Mark off guard, as he'd not been aware that this was the hunter who was responsible for the recent deaths. Mark inhaled a deep breath, his free hand curling into a fist. Any other day and Mark would have been able to roll with it but today had been a really bad day and he was growling internally.

Now he wasn't here any longer to help the captive. Mark was here to make sure nothing happened to the medic while he did his work. He could hardly sympathize as the other man looked at his own blood in dismay. "You're going to die." Mark stated simply, though he wasn't exactly qualified to make that assessment. "You're going to die slow and painfully, unless you let him help you." His face was unwavering and his tone was emotionless and serious, and he hoped Danny caught on to what he was trying to do, despite his own emotions. "Yes I know, let the pitiful plague on this earth help you." He knew the hunters saw them as little more than a blight to extinguish, and it was men like this that had no honor nor sympathy that wouldn't break easily. But maybe if he realized just how bad his situation was, back him into a corner, use whatever fear might be there against him. Then maybe he'd be at least somewhat compliant. "You've got a choice to make." Previously Mark had stated that he'd follow Danny's lead, and this was still the case. But he'd decided to try his own approach.

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat
The use of his nickname caught his attention, briefly. Odd. For some reason, everybody always used his last. So much so that to hear the quiet "Ree-an" snapped him out of his stupor. He shut the laptop, disconnected the external processing cores and various trailing wires - how he'd tolerated that tripping hazard this long, he had no idea - and stood up, settling his arm back into its sling with a sigh of irritation. He wanted to throw it away, but - as always - D'Arc was going to do what he'd been told. The sling was here to stay until tomorrow.
Crossing the room, he pulled the manila folder labelled "possible", since they still hadn't digitized the relevant papers, and rifled through with minimal difficulty, propping the file up on his bandaged arm and searching with his good one until he found the paper he was looking for.
He was still squinting at it when Kat returned with a fresh shirt in hand. D'Arc took it gratefully, dropping the report he'd been trying to read onto his make-do desk with a murmur of thanks. Slumping back into his seat, he stripped off the bloodied tee he'd been wearing and pulled on the fresh one, hardly bothering to look at it, too preoccupied by the mild sting in his arm as he raised it to notice the bruises that had appeared up his side and the sharp beep of the laptop for a second time, signalling another incoming message.

"Thanks, Kat. Really. Thanks."
He sat up, somewhat, in his chair, picking halfheartedly at the trail mix as he continued to search through the rest of the papers for the other report that was on his mind. Where had it gotten to?
"We need to get these digitized and stored on a remote server. I can't find anything," he muttered, cursing himself for not making that a priority. "But first, we're getting Ford to go and check things out. I don't care what he thinks he's doing at the moment. He's had fair warning to get clear. And I've sent that license plate to the Feds, so we'll see what they find on that... And I've asked them to start watching hospitals for the target. She shows up to get those bullets removed and we'll have her."

He left quietly, even though there was no danger of disturbing the comatose female, and headed straight to the closet where he kept spare clothes; namely, a set of his EMT uniform. Dark blue shirt and pants, with a Montana EMT patch on one arm and the Jasper city crest just below it. His black sneakers on his feet. He usually kept it there for days when he forgot to watch the clock and had no time to retrieve his other set of uniform from home, and he was glad he did. Not exactly casual, but clean.
Leaving the bathroom, he headed outside and threw his dirtied clothes onto the still-smouldering fire Emery had set those few hours ago, and madeva beeline to the kitchen. He needed food.
Ducking his head into the infirmary, he coughed to get the temporary Alpha's attention and tried to smile encouragingly.
"Hey, how do you take your coffee? Or, at least, can I get you something to eat, too? You look like you need it. No offense." Raising his eyebrows, he moved over the threshold, then froze as he heard the scrabbling pawsteps behind him.
He managed to grab the hulking grey dog as it tried to creep through the door to its mistress and futilely tried to drag it backwards, but Stål wasn't having it. The wolfhound broke free of his grasp and lolloped over towards the last bed. He darted after it, but still wasn't strong enough to drag it away. Werewolf or not.
"Hey! Don't let that thing onto the bed!"

As D'arc picked through the 'meal' i had given him i only nodded in response to his thanks, walking towards the kitchen only stopping as i heard him grunt while placing his injured arm back into the sling, watching him change his shirt only to ensure he didn't manage to somehow further hurt himself though i did notice my eyes lingered a few moments then really necessary, whatever whats he gonna do?. Walking into the kitchen and over to the coffee pot i sighed and stared at the contraption for a moment as if i hadn't ever seen one, trying to get my mind together enough to put the grounds in the flitter, preparing a stronger then normal batch and putting in the water listening to it bubble before brewing, pulling two cups from the cupboard i awaited for it to finish before preparing the hot beverages to each of our own likings about to return to D'arcs side before last minute assuming it would be good to make ford one for when he arrived and pulled down another cup to do just that. Finally placing the lids on i walked back out of the kitchen and to the table, setting his beside the freshly changed male and retaking my seat beside him as he began to speak shrugging as he once more thanked me before nodding in response to his orders lifting my cup to my lips and taking a sip, only to hiss and quickly set it back down as my half functioning mind didn't register i just poured it sending the scolding hot coffee onto my sensitive tongue, cursing benieth my breath i closed my eyes why me? shaking my head as i took in a breath of cool air i finally spoke the burning subsiding quickly "got it, do we even know what hes doing?" I asked hand wrapped around the handle of the cup as i fidgeted with it his next words causing my brows to fur as i silently thought for a moment that didn't quite make sense with me, not after what we saw "the hospitals, sir do you really think she'd show up at one? if there's as many as we thought surely one knows how to keep her alive, until they think we've lost their trail at least" I pointed out gently though said nothing else on the matter as i stood back up, grabbing my still wet jacket and putting it on as i glanced out the window with another sigh, it was a wonder we hadn't dropped dead yet i swear.

It wasn't long after Jason had left the room had my body sought the content and comfort in my position holding the beta heartbeat slowing down drastically compared to how it raced when she was awake and in pain breathing too evening out. Now nearly completely relaxed temporarily forgetting about our prisonier in the basement i felt my lids close giving my eyes a much needed rest as i yawned the breathing of the girl beside me as calming as the sea itself. I had just fallen into a suitable, light slumber when i heard someone clear their throat from the doorway across the room the unexpected sound instantly causing my gaze to fly open and frame to tense as the sudden memories of the male i hauled in here came back to mind sitting up partly before recalling the girl on my chest and stopping not wishing to disturb her. Letting my startled gaze sweep over to the frame now with us i let out a relived sigh as i saw it was only Jason body nearly instantly relaxing as i laid back down with the comotoes girl still watching him as he spoke, chuckling lightly at his comment about my apperant non-pleasant look and thought for a moment, glancing out the window then the clock on the wall across from us closing my eyes for a split moment then looking back to the medic and nodding "uh, coffee's fine Jay, plain, strong?' I finally gave in about to allow my eyes to close once more assuming he would be on his way though was still fully alert in case he or anyone else needed anything but was taken slightly off guard as i heard desperate paw steps fleeing towards us, looking over with furred brows i swallowed back my laughter as i saw the medic and hulking grey dog both moving towards us Jason's attempts to stop the determined canid doing very little as she soon reached the bedside close enough for me to grab her nape and keep her away from actually jumping up as i eyed the large creature " come on now Stål is it too much for you to listen to Jay?" I mused glancing up to the male waiting for the wolfhound to either lay down or walk off before releasing her

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat, Theo
"No, he didn't. He just clicked at me."
D'Arc sighed exasperatedly.
"And as for the target... Well, I'm sure they probably do. But all I'm saying is that, in the case that she doesn't make it back to whatever hole she crawled from and somebody stumbles across her, what are they gonna do? Some person bleeding all over the floor. They'll take her straight to the hospital, naturally, like the concerned citizens they are. Or, at least, call the police. Either way," he added, with a slight - barely noticeable, but really uncharacteristic - smirk, "we win."
Adrian took another peanut. And his face returned to its previous state.
"But, anyway. Worst case scenario. She gets back to her rat hole." Rapping a pen he'd produced from who-knew-where on his table, he gestured to the map on the wall beside him.
"I've been thinking. There's a bar on entering the woods without fair reason, yes? Hunting season's been cancelled, and all that. Not only that, but she was pretty far out here. And she certainly looked like she knew the land despite the deep snow. That probably means she lives nearby, that she's as well trained as we are - unlikely - or a frequent visitor to that stretch of woods. And you're not telling me that the owner of that particular stretch hasn't noticed the massive pawprints. Unless they're about as observant as a brick wall. I say we find out who they are and keep an eye on their movements."
He narrowed his eyes, at first in fury that they'd been forced to let the damn creature get away, then because he noticed Kat was putting on what looked suspiciously like a wet jacket.
"Don't even think about it. You'll catch a chill. If you haven't got any dry ones of your own, take one of mine." Urgh, I sound like my mother. He winced a little, then carried on regardless. "And put sugar on your tongue for that burn, while you're at it."

The damn dog dragged him halfway across the room before he relented and let go with a growl. He didn't know why he'd bothered; standing on hindlegs, the mutt was seven feet tall and built of pure muscle. Only once Adam had grabbed the dog and made her lay down on the floor beside the bed dod he realise he'd been holding his breath. The thought of that filthy dog climbing onto his patient's bed was probably enough to give a weaker-hearted doctor a heart attack. It wasn't that he didn't like dogs. He just prefered to keep the number of muddy critters in his infirmary to a minimum at all times. Somewhat of a thankless task where werewolves were involved, but he still tried.
"Hey, good call. Thanks."
He nodded appreciatively, stared daggers at Stål - the mutt even had the nerve to grin at him - and ducked out again, heading straight to the kitchen to see what he could rustle up, returning within five minutes with a sandwich for himself and a cup of "plain, strong" coffee for Adam.
"Here."
Jay placed it on the sideboard closest to the bed and moved back again, hauling himself up to sit on a stretch of the sideboard a few feet away. He'd finish his sandwich, find some way to lure the dog out of the room - one overprotective canid was enough, frankly - and then find somebody to drop him into Jasper. In all the chaos, he'd somehow forgotten he had the noon-midnight shift that day. As little as he liked leaving a wolf with serious silver poisoning unsupervised, Danny was in the building, and he knew Adam would raise the alarm the second he felt something was wrong.
So it was with little hesitation that he slid back down from his perch and made a few final checks on the female's monitors, still careful to keep as much respectful distance betwen himself and the pair as possible.
"So... uh, I need to go to work soon. I don't have long. If her heartrate reaches.... I'm going to make an educated guess... at her normal bpm being at 50bpm, then could you please let Danny know I said it's safe to put her onto light sedation and some moderate intravenous painkillers. Just enough to keep her down while those suspected fractures heal. Nothing urgent. It can wait until he gets back for sure, Mr Hale. Please?"

As D'arc continued to update me on the current situation ranging from our sniper to the beasts in the woods i continued to put my soaked jacket on only haulting as he suddenly spoke to me directly in a firmer tone then before causing my frame to jump slightly and a narrowed, confused glance to be concerned what was he yelling for no- oh.. Hearing his father like words i rolled my eyes before rubbing my face though couldn't hide the small grin that appeared on my mouth it was funny, had i been one of the boys he wouldn't have given it a second glance likely he was always different with me, gentler i wasn't sure if it was because i was female or because he knew i could easily rip his head off, perhaps a combination of the two who knew what went on in that mind of his. Sighing as i stood there a moment more debating on giving him a hard time i then slid my arms out of the sleeves deciding against it we were both tired, had i given a snippy reply it could be my head rolling across the floor. Setting the heavy fabric back on its hook i looked for my second glancing behind the other hung up jackets before remembering, i had taken it out with me and ford when we went to the memorial. Cursing beneith my breath i groaned inwardly it was in the downed jeep, shaking my head and removing one of D'arcs jackets from the hook like instructed and slipping into the much larger, warmer coat handed him the other before raising a brow at his next parental instructions this time clicking my tongue against my teeth which, did give a very uncomfortable feeling cursing through the flesh but i didn't let him know that before speaking "Its not that bad! come on it wasn't even that hot" I argued this was getting out of hand we could be on the road and have collected ford by now. Staring at the leader to see if he would back down or not i finally sighed heavily and through my head back "fine" I grumbled as i pouted into the kitchen, retrieving a sugar cube and popping it into my mouth, the unnecessarily instantly melting on my tongue as i walked back out as i casted a light hearted glare at the male though said nothing else as i awaited him to be ready before following him out to the truck and slipping into the passenger side of the now freezing cabin sure the outer workings of the land were warming up but the truck still had the winter wonderland in its cold dead grasp.

I only nodded in response to the younger males thanks in handling the large canine now at my side and kept a eye on her out of the corner of my eye, chuckling slightly at the dogs grin before stopping that definitely didn't settle well with my own wounds not the brightest idea. watching as the medic walked out of his infirmary i let my eyes momentarily slip shut once more hardly having a beat to rest before the reapproaching footsteps caused them to reopen though not as alarmed as i knew well it was only Jay coming back the smell of the freshly brewed coffee filling my nose and awakening my dulled senses as he came in with the steaming cup. Nodding in appreciation as he set the mug on the table beside us i watched as he quickly resigned a few feet away once more then again when he stood up to check her monitors earning a slightly tilted head as i smirked "Jay, i'm not planning on killing you" I assured as i licked my lips many of the pack - or what used to be knew it was best for them all not to mess with me not only being a skilled fighter but also the betas right hand i didn't put up with it, but i didn't expected it constantly at least from Jay. Shaking my head inwardly as i reached over and picked up the mug i took a sip, enjoying the strong caffeinated beverage as i savored the flavor and placed it back down looking back to him as he spoke out once more explaining he had his shift coming up and nodded slightly i understood, someone needed to ensure the damned hunters weren't coming back, had the day not gone how it had i would have him switch with someone else both so he could stay here and so he could rest knowing the adrenaline had to be running off by now and he would soon be beyond tired but unfortunately i hadn't have that choice so i listened carefully to his instructions and nodded with a now serious expression "of course Jay, i intended to stay with her anyway but as soon as you're off, i want you to rest we don't need you dropping dead too" I ordered light heartedly as i ran a hand through my mess of a hair with my free hand taking a breath as i glanced to the still sleeping girl on my other arm "and, if you have time can you let them know you're headed out? and to get me if they need anything?" I asked quieter as i glanced back to him

Jason Loen I Werewolf I Medic I Tags; Adam, Skylar, Danny,
"I'd really rather not go down there, Mr Hale." He'd decided to sidestep the first statement, redirecting the conversation towards his reply to the second. "Won't they yell if they need you? Besides, Mark is down there. That guy's one of the strongest we ever had. They
can deal with him."
He moved to grab the wolfhound and drag it outside, leaping back at the earth-shattering snarl from the mutt now pressed up against the side of the bed and detouring around the bed instead, eyeing daggers at the muddy beast as he passed.
"But I'll yell down and let them know, Mr Hale. Of course."
He darted outside, straightening his uniform, and did as much, careful to raise his voice enough to penetrate the heavy doors barring the way, then headed back, poking his head back around the door. One last problem to deal with.
"I hate to ask, but may I borrow Skylar's Defender? Charlotte Strong is back in town, I believe. I can ask her to bring it back when she comes to report to -" He frowned, barely biting back Skylar's name. "Report to you." I'll have to drop that memo in, too, I guess. Wonder how they'll react.

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat
He frowned. Where the heck was Kat going?
To retrive what's left of Alastair, I guess. He clamped down on the urge to break down and sob, rising to his feet and painstakingly pulling his other jacket - still damp from the snow, but warm enough - on over his clean shirt, shoving the trail mix into one of his pockets and following his teammate to the Land Cruiser parked neatly on the dirt track outside, already barking a series of orders into his earpiece. This time, he got a reply. It was enough to wipe the frown off of his face, at least.
Waving to Kat with his good arm, he held up the keys as he approached and opened the door back up.
"You're forgetting something, you know. Doctor's orders."
He liked driving. He was a good driver. But driving around this town one handed didn't appeal to him. Especially not when he had company in the car. Especially when the company was Katrine. He didn't need any more unintentional injuries - or deaths - on his conscience.
"You're gonna have to drive for today."

Theo/Emmy in progress. Bear with.
