Under normal circumstances 2 females wouldn't be able to have offspring naturally, however there are ways.
One of them could be transgender, making them a fertile lesbian couple. Or with the use of science one of the female's gametes could be used fertilize the other female (like in vitro with extra steps)
So there are rational ways for these lovely hens to have babies of their own.
Love the lesbi-hens so much, such a pretty pair♡
Trans-situation totally works -
However ... Females only carry X chromosomes . There MIGHT be a possible way in the future to combine the chromosomes to produce viable offsping in the future - however
every single one would be female. Which presents it's own set of problems, that I will not delve into. This is the last I will complain about this though
I do quite enjoy the pairing, And a large part of the reason I continue to come to this site is for the relief from reality it provides. So I will just be happy with them
(Even though my brain will continue to fight in silence)
the chromosome thing is actually false - many women are born intersex, or with different chromosome combinations besides xx! sometimes x, sometimes xy, sometimes xxx, xxxx, xxxy, xxy, etc <3 i'm one of these cases, i've got xxy chromosomes - and they're actually not uncommon. 1 in 100 people are born with different chromosomes than the typical male/female, which is the same amount of people who are red haired <3

Many non-human animals are intersex- and since CS deals with Animals I can be more forgiving

True and it is a very fascinating phenomena , but other than in the case of Intersex (Which both chromosomes/traits are displayed (Phenotyped) they are suppressed/folded chromosomes - so it would take a GREAT deal of toying with them, to try to make function. It is a big long process and very, very expensive- Genetics are fascinating. But this will be the end of my spiel I promise.
I do enjoy it thoughI kind of want to start a collection of them now because t hey fascinate/frustrate me so much. If there is some how a rooster that poops up in the bunch it will really blow my mind.
